So I have a little warning for all of you guys looking at these: I recently bought them for my rig, and I ran them on 2 RTX 2080 GPU's. They do look awesome, and they clean up the cables real nice. So I put my PC on standby and go to my parents in law for Christmas. About 2 hours later I get a call. The apartment is on fire! Basically what happened, the PC went out of sleep because a cat probably jumped on the desk or moved the mouse around a bit. The PC booted and idled for a little while. Then the bottom 8 pin adapter either shorted, or got so hot that the foam on the back caught fire. Lo and behold, a couple minutes later the entire PC is an inferno. The neighbors notice, and thankfully manage to put out the fire with a powder extinguisher. Sadly the powder also destroyed all my network and server equipment in my rack. As well as all my peripherals and custom keyboards. The fire department managed to confirm the fire started in the bottom adapter. It's also almost completely gone, while the other 3 are still somewhat intact. Be careful people!

Since yesterday the download speed that I kept getting on my laptop is slow, here's the pic: Compare that with the speed that I'm getting on my phone I don't understand why there's a huge disparity between these two devices. There's only two devices connected to the AP The blocked one is my sister's phone, I blocked it for consistency sake. The speed that I supposed to get is 50Mb Down/Up. It's fair that I'm not getting that on the phone 'cause my mom is watching netflix right now. I don't understand what's happening here. Two days ago the speed on the laptop is fine. It all started happening yesterday and idk what's causing it.

AMD has released a new EPYC server CPU, the EPYC 7H12. This is an even stronger CPU than the EPYC 7742. At 64 cores, 128 threads and 2.6GHz base clock and 3.3GHz boost clock, this is absolutely insane, especially for servers. (Serve the Home) (Serve The Home) The previous strongest AMD EPYC chip, the EPYC 7742, had 2.25GHz base clock and 3.4GHz maximum boost frequency. This is a 15% increase in performance. This is absolutely insane! That's 512 cores, 1024 threads.

I have been having a problem with my 970 where it will randomly black screen in games and the only way to solve it is a restart. I have looked on forums everywhere for a solution but I have not yet found one to fix my problem. I also really doubt its a PSU problem like most people have as mine is way overkill. I will leave a link to my build so you guys can see everything. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Yusi500/saved/#view=86cJ7P

I just checked that rare store that sells phones that NORMALLY are not for sale in my country brands such as Blackberry, Oneplus & Xiaomi but they also have Meizu and that brand have the same SoCs that the Cherry Mobile brand has which are Mediatek chips, mainly 8-cores which no brand in my country seems to have! Last time I had a octo-core from Mediatek it was on the my|phone my32 which was great except it got really hot and died shortly after its 1 year warranty! So my question is this is Meizu a good brand or a really cheapy one? The biggest thing is security and updates is a yay or a nay? O3O

So, I'm having a HP 17-f256ng here that, when turned on, powers up, screen stays black, no backlight. After a few seconds a led on the TAB key starts flashing (on-off) and the following beep code is played: 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 That's 2 beeps, pause, 2 beeps... and so on. 5 times. I can't find the meaning. Google provides me with several forum entrys and lists all of which (except on on toms hardware) refere to another problem or code entirely. HP Support is totally useless. Toms Hardware which had the exact same issue however was a desktop system with a faulty PSU. Which is, apart from memory (beep code) the only lead I have. PSU in this case charges the battery fine and with or without battery makes no difference. So, if that is it, the motherboard power circuitry but I kinda doubt that. For memory, this thing is a cat-ass-trophy to take appart. But if I remove the 1 DIMM module, it's 3 beeps and done. No memory. I don't have a spare lying around for laptop so testing is not really an option and there are no shops around. Any of you know this problem? I take anything

I came across an add listing for: R410 motherboard 2x Intel xeon x5550 Intel Ark 16gb DDR3 HDD (120gb - 500gb) the guy has 5 servers like the one above selling each for 300€ without a case. Now I don't have anything planned just seems like cool hardware for something (any suggestions welcomed). All i want to know really is, if its a fair price?

Hey guys, so I just recently had this problem of my desktop turning off a split second after pressing the power button (have confirmed that there's not short on the power button) which happens occasionally. I have tried reseating every component on the motherboard, resetting the CMOS, using the default settings in the motherboard BIOS and no bad capacitors on the motherboard but the problem still persists. I have done the paper clip test on my PSU but it checks out fine. It seems to work fine when I remove the graphics card and some USB devices. Is there like a power delivery problem of some sort going on with my motherboard? (Particularly the USB ports and PCie slot?) Lastly, can it mean a problem with my PSU (using correct voltage BTW) even though it checks out fine with the paper clip test? I have no spare parts to do trouble shooting so I'm kinda lost lol Buy a new motherboard or power supply? Suggestions? Ok this board has just firmed up my hatred for ASUS, i was getting lax on my hatred so i got my brother a bundle that was an I5 4670K and a Maximus VI Gene, a great board i though. this was all working stuff from what i got from the seller, and it all seemed functional when testing. one issue instantly showed up and that was the fact that even on the latest BIOS, which acording to ASUS supports Devils Canyon (I5 4690K, I7 4790K) it refused to boot with my I5 4690K in it, so he is off with the I5 4670K which isnt a problem really, its paired with a 680 which about on par with the 1050TI or so and the 90K isnt a massive improvement anyway. So yesterday he came up to me and went "hey i think my mic broke, it suddenly started to sound like mostly static!" and i assumed his pice of shit €5 mic from china had kicked the bucket but let him test on my computer, and there was no static what so ever. all gone. so the "exelent" supremeFX audio has gone and borked the mic in somehow, i havent had time to check for physical damage like blown or bulged caps that i could replace yet, but installing the latest audio drivers didnt do much, it helped a tiny amount but that was it. i have also tried a power drain of the computer(well i had him do it, i dont have time right now to check it myself) switching the PSU off and holding the power button for 10-20 seconds or so and that did nothing. here is my list of what i am going to try, but i thought id see if anyone else had had similar issues or know a fix or something to add to the list: "audio enhancements" just check everything with them try front panel connectors check quality on my laptop, maybe my soundcard is just too good dig through the really not nice BIOS for settings CMOS clear alternete drivers check for damage to the componets and replace any caps that are clearly foulty(if i happen to have replacements around) reinstalling windows 10 i could add but i would really not like too tbh. Well this has all ended up with me dislikeing ASUS as a brand even more. it seems i literally can not own anything they make that dosent end up broken. so far: P5n-E SLI - SLI broken Sabertooth P67 - SLI broken, BIOS resetting at every power off, booting issues, self applied overclocks that were insaine R9 270x DirectCUII - dead Maximus VI Gene - broken mic in, no Devils Canyon and support refuse to do anything yay! what a wonderfull brand this is! the 270 was bought in unknown condition so that one is a bit on me though. either way im not touching ASUS myself ever again.

hello dear people. I built my first computer about two years ago now, I'm using the same system right now as then only with a few upgrades at this time. my problem is that the last GPU I used was an gtx 750ti. this graphics card worked fine for me though I didnt play hard core gaming that requeird much grapichs. This card eventually droped heavely in fps and was unplayeble so I got my money back from the stor and bought a gtx 1060 6gb that i've had for less than a year and the same thing happend to this card, low fps under 20. I was wondering if this is the way of nature or if any one of my other components is killig the gpu. I've tried DDU and the card poses a picture on the monitor thanks. ASUS geforce gtx 1060 6gb intel core i5 4460 DDR3 800mhZ 8gb ram gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 3 Zalman z11 plus corsair 430watt PSU 120gb HyperX ssd 750gb Seagate hdd Corsair hydro h60 cpu cooler standard case fans that was included with the chassi DVD driver Windows 10 enterprise (on ssd) tell me if you need something else thanks.
