Hi, as the title states I'm looking for the files to do a bmc update on an old intel s2600cp board. I'm unsure whether it's a cp2 or cp4. Unfortunately it's discontinued by intel and they've only put the BIOS update files on their website. If anyone has them or know where to get them it'd be greatly appreciated. By the by, the reason for me needing the update is that since one of the CPU's are faulty and I've taken it out, the fans are stuck on max speed at all times and I need that fixed, so if ya'll have any other way of fixing that issue I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

so, i want to get a pc, small issue, i dont know whether i should get intel or amd, its the choice between the amd ryzen 7 7700 or the intel i7 12700. The ryzen 7 seems better but some of my friends say amd support is worse and amd is glitchy, please help

I'm setting up a real chill PC for my just to browse the web an such. I used spare components such as an old ASUS Z-170A I had laying around but when i tried to use a spare Intel i5 6600k i had in that MoBo setup it had a bent corner and wasn't booting up turning rhe MemOK redlight ON (ps. ram sticks are totally fine). I bought this Pentium CPU to use instead. It seems to start up just fine, no error lights in the board, but the screen never shows any menu. I've read that having used the motherboard with a GPU in the past could be making weird things with it.

Need help "optimizing" my 10900kf chip, this bihhh runs HOT, Under load i was hittin' 100c! I got this sucker back in 2020 and I pretty much gave up- so..... what I did to resolve my issue was went into my BIOS shut off MCE, Turbo boost, speed shift and set my ram to 2133ghz according to Intel customer support. Yes I RMA'd my original CPU, still didn't resolve my issue. Until what I mentioned above about shutting off these features in BIOS. So I just rolled with 3.7ghz for almost 3 years. But I need more out of this Intel, without the 100c temperatures of course! Right now I set my multipliers to 45x and its ok, but when I hit a benchmark those temps are concerning What is this?!?! Now, here are my settings in XTU Help me guys please. I just want normal temps under load so i can sleep good at night. Here's my CPU-Z txt file to see my PC specs PEREZ-PC.txt
-
My CPU would hit 100c under load, I've tried everything from re-applying T-paste to RMA the chip and nothing. The only solution I found is going into the BIOS and turning OFF MCE, Turbo Boost and Intel speed shift. Just sits at a solid 3.7ghz- That's no fun right? But it was my only solution to "tame" this CPU and keep temps normal. Well after 3 years (wow time fly's), I just want to get more outta this processor. Hell, even 4.7ghz id be happy. So, here are my specs (2020 top-tier build lol)- Intel Core i9 10900kf Gigabyte z490 Aorus Pro AX ddr4-3200 64gb Nvidia rtx3080 Corsair h100i cooler I inserted my CPU-Z report file below PEREZ-PC.txt I went back into my BIOS and enabled Turbo boost and speed shift EXCEPT MCE, put my multipliers at 41x- And its been fine. Highest temp I got was mmm 90c running Cinebench, which is still high but at least not 100c. While gaming I got 75c-78c, I was ok with that. What core voltage can you suggest I use in Intel XTU other than using the multipliers? What offset voltage? Should I have my Core ICCMax set to 255.75a? What about my Turbo boost power max set to unlimited? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I got a new laptop from company Dell Precision 3581 with I7-13700H. My work needs powerful machines I was hopeful that this will solve my problems. However when I tested this system I can see when I am putting system under stress it is not giving me 100%. That is the CPU utilization is capped at 74% and frequency never goes above 2.16GHz. I tried to update the power options and everything in windows that I know but to no help. Can anyone suggest the cause of it and maybe help me solve this issue. Thanks.

As the title suggests, my phones USB-C cable works perfectly fine with the controller, no batteries are in the controller too they are still brand new in the box. But my question is is there any downsides to just using my phones USB-C cable ? as soon as i connected it it worked perfectly fine with no issues, i heard people saying there is a difference between charging and data USB-C Cables but if it's a charging cable will it even work in the first place ?

Budget (including currency): >$1500 AUD Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Adobe Audition, Wondershare Filmora, Python, Fortnite (maybe), Minecraft and other basic programs i.e. adobe acrobat and . Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hey, This is me (and my dads) first ever build. Its a MicroATX build without graphics card, only IGPU (for now, not required). Got a strong CPU so it can last a while. Not focused on RGB although it would be nice if convenient. Hi community, i hope you all have a nice holiday. As you know christmas is family IT support time. Because of this i now got an old Fujitsu Lifebook S760. It was replaced by a new notebook and now i can play with the old one. At first i wanted to reinstall the system at time of release (Windows 7 Pro). My goal is to have a working retro pc for some old software. Everything works fine. Except: The device's speakers are not working. I installed every driver from the Fujitsu support page specifically filtered for my device's serial number. The Realtek High Definition Audio Driver also shows up in the installed progams list. For unknown reasons the audio only works when I connect the notebook over HDMI with a monitor with built-in speakers. Then everything is fine. How can i get the internal notebook speakers to work? Specs: Fujitsu Lifebook S760 Windows 7 Professional, 64 Bit Realtek High Definition Audio Driver ALC269, Version 6.0.1.5911 (08/17/2009) (installed and visible in all-programs-list) Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD, Version 8.15.10.2025 (12/18/2009) In the attachments you can find screenshots. It is a system localized for german language. Have a nice holiday bananaMochi

Budget: No budget, just need help deciding on CPU Games, programs or workloads it will be used for: ok, long story short, I will use the PC, 95% of the time, for productivity and work. The main programs used are: Photoshop (working with effects, large files, several files at once, and multiple layers for each file) Illustrator Premiere Pro (working with 4K clips in the timeline, then export to FullHD for social media. Nothing crazy here effects/editing-wise) After Effects (working with both 4k and full HD size canvas and projects. Mix of simple and complex animations) Sometimes 2 of these applications are running at the same time, each one doing its own stuff. Current situation: My current setup (cpu) is made of a ryzen 7 3700x, 32gb ddr4 ram, X570 I Aorus PRO wifi mobo, gigabyte 3070, and everything inside a CM NR200P. I'm looking for an upgrade of just the cpu with ram and mobo related obv (don't want to keep the AM4 socket) and my thoughts are on these 2 cpus: Brand new i5-14600k (i know it's the same as the 13600k, but the price is almost the same, so why not pick the newest gen?) Slightly used Ryzen 9 7900x They will have the same price as the 7900x is slightly used and the performance are similar. Which one you gonna pick? Other details: The 14600k has both P-Cores and E-Cores and looking around for tests, they will help a lot with the Adobe Suite and the programs i'm gonna use it for...on the other hand the 7900x is a beast and beats the intel in multi-core performance (synthetic benchmarks). My necessities are scrubbing through the timeline on Premiere and AE without too much lag or buffer time and working in ps with ease. Export time are also important, as fast as possible because time is money in my case I'm gonna cool the cpu with a 240/280mm aio in my mini-itx case, and very probably i'm gonna do some undervolt, PBO, watt cap, etc, just to lower cpu temps a bit on both intel and ryzen. I'm available for other recommendations but should match the same price as the 14600k.

Hello everybody, Lately I have been having an issue with my PC that makes gaming impossible. (at least somewhat taxing games, 2d sprite games seem to work just fine) After gaming a couple of minutes my internet will stop working and I hear the 'USB disconnected' sound. After a few seconds the game will crash. I think it started somewhere around this summer but was hard to pinpoint when it would crash, the last few weeks it has gotten worse, to the point where I can't play any games at all. I have the feeling that whenever it gets somewhat warm (20 C+) in the room it starts to act up (in summer when AC was not on it would crash, if it was on it wouldn't. And now the heating is on and it starts to act up) But this could also be my imagination. When the "crash" happens I can still use my PC. When I try to restart/shut down my PC it gets stuck and stays on the "shutting down" screen. Forcing shut down and then rebooting causes the PC to not boot at all (motherboard is giving red and orange light). After waiting a while it will boot fine. Event Viewer gives me these errors; Realtek PCIe 2.5GbE Family Controller has a Hardware IO error. Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz : Has encountered an internal error and has failed. Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz : The network adapter has returned an invalid value to the driver. Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz : Has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly. (also had 'Gameinput service stops working' popping up but that should have now been resolved by deleting the old one; https://www.reddit.com/r/WindowsHelp/comments/18bb6e0/gameinput_service_stops_working_after_windows_11/) Specs: MB: ROG strix 570-E CPU: Ryzen 5900x PSU: Seasonic 1000 watt GPU: 3080 TUF Did a CPU stress test, this went fine (over half an hour of testing). Did a GPU stress test and the issue (crash) occured within several minutes. Does anyone have a clue what the issue is here?

I've been messing with linux on my Flow Z13 again and I thought the throttling issue was fixed on recent kernels but it appears not. The CPU (12900H on mine but it appears to be on every Z13 12500H-13900H) is stuck at ~10W/1GHz, limited by current (as reported by throttled) I believe it's something to do with Intel DPTF/DTT. I've tried a ton of things including older kernels, disabling intel_pstate, throttled, changing performance mode/governor, BIOS updates, etc. My guess is it could be related to the DPTF ACPI uuids, there's a lot of talk about this on ultrabooks but it seems like a very similar issue. On the Z13 there are no available UUIDs though. /sys/bus/platform/devices/INTC1041:00/uuids/available_uuids UNKNOWN /sys/bus/platform/devices/INTC1041:00/uuids/current_uuid INVALID From what I've seen it seems like the available IDs can't be changed and is something set in firmware (and apparently it can be set differently for Windows/Linux?) If someone has more insight that would be awesome. I've also made attempts to contact ASUS but they don't have an email and the online chat doesn't work so... If there is some actual way to report UEFI/Firmware issues that would be awesome.

I turned on the pc today and felt it really slow, turns out is stuck at 0.8 Ghz. I am researching hard because I use this pc to work so is extremely important. I removed the GPU, I reset the BIOS, updated to the latest BIOS, used the optimal default profile, apply correctly new thermal paste but nothing works. I am sure is not temperatures, at idle temperatures are ok: I use ThrottleStop program and it works (returned to normal speeds) by disabling BD PROCHOT but as soon as I restart windows the problem comes back The 0.8 is also seen in BIOS: What can I do, I can´t work, today I lost the whole day. Hello, I’m trying to decide on what is the better pre-built out of these two options and want to hear more opinions. I’m dead set on getting either a 3060ti or 3070 and these are the two best pre-builts I could find that had them. Option 1 has a smaller name as far as the GPU, through Maxsun and has a H610 motherboard which I heard isn’t the best for gaming but has a I5 13400f. Option 2 seems pretty good and comes from a reputable brand even though they’re not know for pre builds. It comes with a I5 12400f so a previous gen. Option 1 is only around $30 more and comes with a 3070 and a newer CPU but the motherboard being the H610 and a smaller name GPU is throwing me off. Please help!!! Option 1- https://www.newegg.com/p/3D5-002D-00077?item=9SIAZBDJRY0327 Option 2- https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BYT5Z53M?th=1&psc=1

Hello, I am planning on buying a laptop for myself for regular day-to-day office work and some gaming. I have been looking at Lenovo LOQ series laptops and I am confused between 2 specifications- A- CPU-> i5-12450H GPU-> NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6 B- CPU-> i7-13620H GPU-> NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 6GB GDDR6 Both have the same- RAM- 2 x 8GB, 5800MHz, DDR5 SCREEN/ DISPLAY- WQHD (15.6)(2560 x 1440), IPS, Anti-Glare, Non-Touch, 100%sRGB, 350 nits, 165Hz. STORAGE- 1TB, M.2, 2242 PCIe Gen4 TLC, SSD I have to choose between A and B as any other Combination will go over my budget(I am from INDIA, and my max budget is 1,00,000 INR, I cant have refurbished laptops due to the billing policies/methods I will be using). I usually use my laptop until they come apart themself. My current laptop is 4.5 yrs old. I am someone in the age range of 18-25 years. Please also keep these factors in consideration. Please help.

I have a laptop with a Core i5 1240P processor. When loading the processor itself without the graphics card that is integrated in the processor, the temperature on one core reaches 91 degrees and on the other cores it reaches 80-70 degrees, why such a difference. And it seems to me that 91 degrees is too much and the processor may degrade. Although the manufacturer states that the maximum temperature can be 105 degrees. Maybe do undervolting? But how to do it from the BIOS level and not in Windows. In CPU-Z, tests: Core i5 1240P Multi Core: 5200 points Single Core: 670 points My Ryzen 7 3700X which is in the desktop computer: Multi Core: 5700 points Single Core: 520 points It's amazing how much power the 1240P has on 1 core than the 3700X and a little less on all cores, but it only consumes 28W while the 3700X consumes 85W. But something doesn't seem right to me and it's about the test in the Aida64 cpu qween program. The 3700X reaches 100,000 points while the 1240P reaches 67,000 points but the program pops up a message in the case of 1240P that virtualization is enabled and may interfere with the test, but why? It's also enabled on the 3700X and it's fine. I need virtualization for virtual machines, for example in VirtualBox. Does virtualization take away CPU power? So it's probably not entirely clear how much power 1240P has - you would have to take the same video, for example in Premiere Pro, render on the processor itself and unpack the RAR archive, then you would know which one is more powerful.

ram HP Omen 25L and XMP. I AM FREAKING OUT !
ya_freezy posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello, a few months ago, I bought the HP Omen 25L with an i7-13700F and an RTX 4070ti, and upgraded the RAM to 32GB. I initially had issues with XMP, as it simply wouldn't activate through the BIOS. Last week, I managed to activate XMP at 5200 MT/s. Everything was working fine this morning. In the afternoon, when I turned on my PC, I noticed that booting into Windows took quite a long time. In the Task Manager, the RAM speed was back to 2000MHz. I've now set it to XMP Profile 1 in the BIOS 10 times, but the Task Manager still shows 2000MHz. CPU-Z and CMD both display different RAM clock speeds. Which one is correct? I'm even considering replacing the motherboard because HP's BIOS is simply AWFUL. Can anyone recommend a good Micro ATX motherboard with LGA1700 socket and DDR5 that isn't too expensive? The RAM sticks are 4x Kingston Fury Beast 8GB DDR5 each, specified at 5200 MT/s. Or is there anything else i could try ? Thanks in advance for any replies.
