I can't ship from HP because I'm outside the US. I have my refund in gift cards and can't use it. Does anyone have a work around? They only ship to residential addresses, i tried my freight forwarder but the order was declined.

So I've had this problem for a couple of months now. When watching Youtube(Firefox/Chrome), listening to Spotify or using the VLC Player the system will randomly freeze on me after minutes to hours of playback. I can still move the mouse cursor, open the start menu, minimize windows and change tabs in the task manager. The latter is frozen in the moment of crash, but sometimes there will be another frame of info after a minute or so. It then shows some weird values like -1% egpu usage and 100% APU.(this doesnt always happen). For a couple of seconds after playback stops though I can still open new tabs in firefox and it even loads new pages for ca. 20s. When I try to restart or shut down the PC it will start the animation of shutting down but doesnt actually do anything else. I always have to manually shut down (6s power button) and restart. After restarting there are no Crash Dumps. I have already talked to HP Tech support without any conclusion (offering to send it in for diagnosis). I checked all drivers and performed the extensive HP hardware diagnostics System Test. Stress testing the CPU, GPU, SSD and RAM all did not lead to any results (used with CPU-Z, GPU-Z, MSI AB, p95, Ryzen Master, Crystal disk mark) My system is a prebuilt from HP, which I have since december 21 hp pavilion tp01-2104ng Specs: Windows 11 Home 64bit (V. 10.0.22000) CPU: ryzen 5700G GPU: NVidia 1650super RAM: 1x16GB DDR4 3200 Mhz SSD: WDC SN 530 1TB NVME M.2(boot drive) MB: HP 8906 BIOS: AMI F.13(latest) PSU: 310W HP proprietary 80+ gold Thank you so much for your time

Only way I'm able to install Ubuntu now, is install 18.04 version that does not give Intel RST error. And then upgrade it one-by-one to higher versions. I want to install clean latest version with ISO Help me!

I am running HP Pavilion Gaming 15/ Ryzen 5 5660H with integrated Radeon Vega 8 GPU. The motherboard is factory HP laptop board. My question is... I'm not able to access my HP "advanced bios", or gain access to any other way of changing my RAM XMP/speed profiles. I am currently running 8gbs(3200MHZ) of DDR4 SODIMM. I want to be able to "enable" some sort of XMP profile so I can set my RAM to 3200mhz, or future RAM that I may purchase with higher speeds. May there also be some software that anyone would recommend working with an HP product to change RAM settings. Perhaps just any software that could help with my factory RAM speed issues. So to some it up...I can't change my RAM speeds in HP bios, is there another way to set the speed as advertised/retailed described. Thank You Everyone!

So, for no reason at all my HP laptop (which is running Linux), decided not to boot the other morning when I woke up. Fun. I am pretty good with computers in general, I upgraded/rebuilt this PC and the one which is currently not booting. I have completed all the steps recommended on HP's site, I have an account on the site and both of my laptops are registered, so I do not have to guess which BIOS file I need to download. There are 2 updates available, one for F.21 Rev.A and another for F.23 Rev.A, I first download the F.23 file, ran it, clicked create a USB, let the files copy over and when it was finished, I put it in the other PC while holding the Win+B then pressing the power button for 2-3 seconds, as instructed. Now the first time I did this the 'broken' computer started a bios update, then about halfway through the BIOS update the screen went blank (the instructions said that may happen), so I let it go but it never actual finished. Not sure why. Now the computer is not recognizing the USB to start the BIOS update. There are no options for anything else, the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) is the heart of a machine, it starts everything else, so I cannot use the built-in HP tools which have saved me in the past.

My ultimate aim is to get the hard disk formatted GPT rather than MBR and boot accordingly. The laptop boots from USB as long as "Legacy Support" is enabled in BIOS. When I change this to disabled the laptop won't boot from USB and reports the hard disk error originally mentioned. Note: When "Legacy Support" is disabled in BIOS, the F9 boot screen shows no entries My question is how can I get the laptop to boot in GPT mode from USB to allow me to install windows with GPT partitions?

Hello linus tech tip forum. I have a weird problem and i don’t know if the solution i’m thinking of is possible however it’s worth asking. Basically i have a hp 2060 super which is a single fan card and i am looking for a solution to make it cooler and quieter; possibly without underclocking. I have been looking at ways to replace gpu coolers and have come across some diy fan installs on the card and some nzxt aio gpu cooler. However i haven’t found anything about wether it is possible to move a gpu psb into a different cooler. I have found a complete evga xc 2070 cooler on ebay and i’m wondering if it would work with my hp pcb. The cooler is double the size of the pcb so that could provide some difficulty. However from my basic knowledge i am aware that the cooler has to be perfect for the components on the pcb etc for it to be effective at cooling. I am unable to find any pictures of the pcb from the inside however i’ve found some from the outside. Any advise will be appreciated.

Hi, Recently I was planning to upgrade storage of my Hp Pavillion (dav 510) desktop and purchased a 2 TB Samsung QVO 870 V-NAND SSD. But after attaching the drive the hp logo comes up and the bios screen freezed with CPU and memory information of the drive. I've tried a smaller ssd from a different brand and it works perfectly fine. Is this a compatibility issue or am I doing something wrong? Talked with HP support they suggested updating BIOS and changing some of the BIOS settings but nothing worked and then they said users are not supposed to upgrade the PC.

I got the HP Spectre x360 Convertible 14-ea0xxx 256GB module I'm trying to upgrade my SSD to 1Tb or 2TB, what are my options, I tried customer service, and they told me that the motherboard is looked into one module of SSD , the " intel h10 256GB" I tried crucial P5 that I have, but it wasn't detected in windows or command. I was only able to find it in the BIOS, but that was it. Note: I tried crucial p5 and Samsung 970 Evo plus, both weren't detected by the laptop, and both worked when used via an external enclosure.

Saw a few of [these] on eBay refurbished. They have 16gb of RAM and SSD support (all user serviceable). Moreover some of them even have 6th or even 8th gen i7 chips which have up to 8 cores (albeit with hyper threading). I figure this would be perfect for me to load an install of Ubuntu and configure some home automation stuff. I also want a spare machine that takes the load of my main desktop PC since wfh has put some miles on her.

I'm trying to access my HP m28w printers EWS to change some config options and I cannot remember the password for it. There seems to be no way to reset it as you need to access the system tab in the EWS to reset the printer. Helpfully hp don't tell you what to do in this situation and in all of their forum repsonses they just say that they've DM'd the poster the instructions negating the whole point of the forum post. Their virtual chat support agent is as usless as the printer and they want £25 to phone them once because it's 2 months out of warranty. Any ideas on what to do?

Hi, I got a laptop recently that comes with 2 M.2 slots, one of which was taken up by a 512 GB SSD. Since I already have another SSD in my previous laptop that I'm switching from, I wanted to add that to the newer machine as well. So i swapped the 512 GB SSD to the second slot, and added the one from previous laptop into the primary slot. However, I can't seem to find the original SSD in the BIOS or boot menu anywhere, and so I can't boot from it. I can boot from my old laptop's SSD just fine. What is it that I'm missing? Here are any specs if they are needed: - HP VICTUS 16 (model 4H2B4EA#ABU) - 1 TB Intel 660p SSD (from old machine, added to the M.2 slot next to memory modules) - 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ TLC M.2 SSD (Sorry, couldn't find any other details on the official site, and couldn't read them myself off of the SSD because of the attached heat-sink).

Hi, I received a computer I ordered from the internet last weekend. It's a HP Z440 work station here is the specs: CPU: : Intel Xeon E5-1607 v3 (3.10 GHz, 4C/4T, 10 Mo Cache) RAM: 16 Go DDR4 12800 ECC SSD: 240 Go SSD HDD: 2*500 Go 7200 TPM GPU: Nvidia Quadro k2000 2 Go GDDR5 OS: windows 64 bit education edition (it was supposed to have windows 8.1 but found that) The computer didn't come with an internal wifi card, so I was using USB tethering, while it was working the computer freezes completely, couldnt move the mouse or type anything. I searched on the internet and found that the usb tethering might be the problem and a found that there was a driver that i had to change, but even after changing the problem wasnt solved. So I tried removing the usb cable and just use some software I installed (unity, blender), the computer works perfectly but then crashes and shows this error. Please I need help to fix it, I don't even know if it's a problem related to hardware or software.

Ok to start off here, this type of repair (appears) to be new territory for me. I am trying to fix this HP Elitebook x360 G2 that I received that won't post. When I power it on the fan starts to spin at full RPM and someone I know said they have seen this happen before if it's having cooling issues and told me to try cleaning the fan and thermal paste and reapplying it which I did and got nothing out of it. I believe there is something wrong with the main board and I am trying to find a schematic and a boardview to figure out what the voltage should be for what and what should or shouldn't be shorted. I'm aware that that's already a very difficult task in of itself, but I gotta learn how to at some point right? I've spent quite some time trying to look and found a couple of sites that have both the schematic and boardviews but not for this computer. Anyone know where I can go to find this or know of other models that have practically the same layout that I can use that instead? If you have other ideas that could fix this I'm all ears. The computer doesn't me any kind of error code either so I'm trying to guess and check. I have a lot of experience in fixing computers but not to this level, I tend to stick to more part replacements and fixing the software side of the computers

So I bought this laptop almost a year ago and I've noticed that the fans keep spinning even when the system is idle and well it creates an annoying noise. Also doesn't it take away from the battery life ? Please someone help from what I could find on the HP forums, this is a genuine problem with Omen 15s powered by Ryzen CPUs i.e. their fans start spinning when the CPU or GPU hits what like almost 50 degrees which is ridiculous and that creates an irritating noise. There is no way to control this fan noise, please someone help me before I go crazy. I get that the fans would spin If I would be doing some intensive task like gaming or some blender renders or some other CPU or GPU intensive application but even when this thing is idle ! its fans keep spinning. I have disabled "the fans always on" option in BIOS but that doesn't work.

HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen10 - RAM Compatibility
AntonMC posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hey, a little bit of a specific question: We are looking to purchase a server at our school. I have now decided on a HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen10. Now the question is, which RAM should we order? Option 1 would be the RAM directly from HP, we would then take 4x16GB ECC RAM (HPE standard RAM kit, 16 GB (1 x 16 GB), Dual Rank x8 DDR4-2666 CAS-19-19, unbuffered). Option 2 would be 4x32GB non-ecc RAM from Crucial (32GB Crucial DDR4-2666 DIMM CL19 Single). My question would be: 1. do the ProLiant servers also run with non-ecc RAM? And 2. according to Intel, the processor we want to use (E-2236) can handle up to 128GB RAM, but on the HP site it says that the motherboard only supports a maximum of 64GB. Would that still work? -
I have had my dads laptop Hp EliteBook 2560p the screen broke a few weeks ago so I ordered a parts system I ended up having to swap the motherboard and the hardware over to the parts system the trackpad did not work initially but I installed driver's and there is still no bite on the trackpad I took this system apart and put in the known good trackpad from the original system and then wiped all thing's relating to that and re-installed the driver's the trackpad shows up in device manager but it does not work. Then I went to the internet tried the common fix of fn + f5 did not work and the light on the top left of the track pad that you double tap did not work either I then tore the system down and rebuilt it again any ideas i'm just about about as of typing this i'm on win 10 pro 19042.1387
