Hi, I built a new system recently, and had been using it for a couple of days (light use), and all of a sudden mid-way through a random youtube video the PC powered off, and now bluescreens every time I turn it on. Without changing anything physically to the PC, it seemed to go from completely okay and working to then being completely broken! Each bluescreen gives different messages, and often it doesn't reach the blue screen. It always powers off upon a red light for CPU. It also gives an amber light for DRAM, but that doesn't seem to be the main issue. I've looked at many threads on similar issues, so I've updated the BIOS to the latest version, messed around with XMP/DOCP settings, reseated the CPU (with new paste), reseated the ram (many times) and checking they were in correct slots, made sure every PSU cable was plugged in correctly. I'm at a loss at this point! I'm not very experienced building PCs from scratch, so I was wondering if I was missing something obvious? What can I do? I'm unsure why this keeps happening but whenever I need to update my gpu drivers through geforce experience; it crashes the pc the first time and then I can update it the second. The blue screen error stop code was SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and says What failed: nvlddmkm.sys. I have tried using DDU and I have completely reinstalled windows and it hasn't stopped it. It stopped for a while and then just happened again. So now I'm kind of at a loss as to why its doing this. So i have been strugling for 3 months to get my GTX Asus ROG 1080 to work again. One day i installed the latest driver from geforce experience and later used boost mode in GPU Tweak II for better performance in COD Warzone. The next day the screen just went black during normal use. Troubleshooting: It seems like i tried everything so i'll just list all the things. First i changed my PCI-e slot then I tried to get it running on another computer but was met just with a black screen in both cases. I reinstalled the driver and uninstalled the GPU Tweak app using a different gpu. I installed a clean install of windows, updated Bios version of motherboard and installed no programs except geforce experience. After watching numerous videos I updated the firmware and totally dissasembled it and cleaned it with WD40 and a toothbrush. I reapplied the thermal pads and thermal paste and after that I was able to get into the Bios and Windows loading screen with a HDMI plugged into the broken card. Still after the computer got to openning windows it crashed with a blue screen of death with the stop code:"SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED'' what failed:nvlddmkm.sys. When the automatic system repair ran it then crashed with a stop code DPC_WATCHDOG VIOLATION. Sometimes I can get past the blue screens into windows for a few seconds with the gpu working because the screen resolution is maxed out but then it freezes and crashes with a blue screen. With the driver uninstalled i can see the gpu in HWINFO and it says it's running on only 8 PCIE lanes. I have removed everything that uses PCIE and it never went to 16x. When I used a 2060 Super it ran on 8 lanes also. I have also been noticing that sometimes when i pull the gpu out some static shocks me on the case. As a side note I have also been thrown into a GNU GRUB version 2.04-9 instead of the startup screen and once immediately after reinstalling the gpu the screen was stuck on orange with white vertical lines. The computer operates normally in safe mode.hw The only things i haven't tried yet are using a different psu and as seen on the internet using a heat gun on it to try and reflow it. Please help me solve this dear netizens and fellow nerds and I will be eternally grateful. Hello, in the past week I've been experiencing BSOD's every time I turn my PC on. It either says that it's gathering info and then I can restart or it shows a big ":(" face and below it is the letter Y. What's up with that? I've been using the EasyTune Aorus app in which you can check CPU stuff and overclock it. When I'm on the web I keep it on default and when I turn on a game I overclock it and when I quit the game I put it on default again. Could that have caused any issues? Also using their SIV app that let's me control my case's fan speed which is really useful and it works flawlessly. Problem: Windows 10 has become unstable freezing after 20 or so minutes of moderate use. Display breaks up with horizontal lines starting at the top of the screen and spreading to the bottom. Sometimes the bottom quarter does not break up. This is sometimes followed by blue screen which sometimes does collect information on the crash and sometimes does not. Rebooting the machine results in the same style of crash occuring progressively quicker until rebooting results in a black screen. Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64 bit System specs: Sony VAIO VPCEH1L8E, Intel Core i7-2720QM, Sony MBX-247 DA0HK1MB6E0 (REV:E), Kingston Hyper X 16GB DDR3L (2133 MHz), Western Digital Blue SSD (500GB), Panasonic E233037 (CPU Fan), Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260, Sony VGP-AC19V33 (19.5v 3.9a) BIOS version: INSYDE R0200Z9, 19/04/2012 (last release) Background Information: Ever since this laptop got lightly kicked a few of years ago the screen has flickered red at certain angles when the laptop is open but adjusting it always solved the issue. The issue has never bothered me too much but I would like to resolve it at some point. In the past couple of weeks the screen has been breaking up entirely in a different way to the usual red flickering and windows 10 crashes but I do not think the damaged display is contributing to the crashing. I have reinstalled windows 10 twice initially thinking it had something to do with the "2021-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64-based Systems (KB5005033)". After reinstalling Windows 10 the first time it ran problem free for a couple of hours with no issues then crashed in the same way again. I reinstalled Windows 10 again yesterday and it did not even last the Windows 10 set up procedure. This morning I took the laptop apart to see if there was anything obviously wrong with the graphics chip, motherboard or display cable but nothing was untoward apart from oddly, a loosely seated RAM stick. The upgraded RAM was installed around two to three years ago. I cleaned the system with compressed air and Isopropanol then put it back together. It wasn't overly dusty but we have had a lot of building work done in the past year and the house has been full of plaster dust. Thus far it has not crashed but I have not done anything on it other than let it run idle and extract the crash dump file I have attached. It is also worth noting this laptop has been substantially upgraded beyond the original intentions of Sony so I'm not sure how much wear the more power hungry CPU is having on the system. I have not used this as my main system for a long while especially with home working/ home studying not requiring me to have a portable computer however it is used weekly. 082921-7484-01.zip

I've been having a couple of different blue screen issues. But I've not been able to figure out the solution. I wonder if this might have a potential issue. Would it hurt to disable both? I also hear a "Device disconnected" sound when I log in to my computer. I've only had this PC for about 6 months.

Link to the required files: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AvH0GWxyPGnymnptL-V0Chs9tENR?e=38tIO1 I have been having constant memory/ driver related blue screens. I have 1. Reinstalled windows 2. changed motherboards 3. changed boot drives 4. changed ram 5. changed graphics cards The blue screens happen at random times, mostly when just using my browser or on my home screen. Sometimes happens in my lock screen before even opening anything up. Strangely enough it rarely happens when I am playing video games. Most of them are PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGE_AREA and IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. All my drivers should be up to date after I used Snappy driver

Now for various reasons I had to reinstall Windows 10 on my computer. I am going to publicly state I hate how difficult it is to schedule scans with this OS, but I digress. I try to do the defender offline scan. I then get the blue screen saying "Your PC/Device needs to be repaired" A required device isn't connected or can't be repaired. I get error code 0x000000d. Now I will reboot after this and everything works find. I check device manager everything looks fine. Can someone point me in the right direction where to find (and hopefully fix) the problem?

Ok, so I have a system with 2 nvme boot drives with linux and windows installed. The linux install will freeze up and the windows install will Bluescreen if I do anything more then browse the web or watch a movie. Since 2 installs on different drives are experiencing issues, I suspect the issue is at a hardware level. The only thing I have been able to find that is out of place is the CPU Temps reported by the motherboard. I am using Open Hardware Manager to get the temps and under the CPU section all core temps look normal (30-55C depending on usage) but under the mother board section it reports 2 of the temps at 10C and 1 of them at -2C. Bellow I have listed my components and a screenshot with the temps (light load). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Hello, I have maybe a little problem or a serious one. Few days ago i received my new CPU, Mobo and RAM. Maybe I destroyed the CPU cause I bended 2 pins a little bit, but the research says that the problem is a memory problem. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Setup: CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 GPU: RTX 3080 FE Mainboard: Aorus B550I Pro AX RAM: 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200Mhz PSU: Seasonic Focus GX 850W Storage: 1 M2 NVMe Gen 4.0 500GB (Gigabyte Aorus NVMe Gen4), 1 M2 NVMe Gen 3.0 500GB (WD Black SN750 NVMe Gen3) and 1 1TB SSD Sata ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I installed all the components and started the system up. Got in the BIOS and all parts were have been recognized. I didn't enabled yet XMP and tried to install Windows. I got stuck in the Windows logo for over an hour and rebooted it. Then I checked the BIOS Version and it was on F3, I updated the BIOS Version to F11n and I was able to install Windows. I updated all updates on Windows installed all needed drivers and got a beautiful blue screen with the error message: "irql_not_less_or_equal". Everything I tried atm: -Tried RAM Sticks with 16GB 2666Mhz and 3200Mhz, one slot or dual channel -Switch RAM Sticks -Reinstall Windows completely -Enabled XMP and disabled after -I took the M2 SSD with Windows and installed in an other PC (intel based) and it worked -Started Windows in secure mode Everything without success. Any other tips you guys recommend? Thanks in advance for your efforts.

hello, I have recently finished building my first pc and am having blue screens when I wake up my pc from sleep mode and sometimes when I boot. I have double-checked all my components but they do not seem to be what is causing the problem. I have windows, my Nvidia graphic drivers, and bios drivers up to date. I even tried formatting my m.2 ssd and reinstalling a windows 10 media creation tool copy but the blue screens still happen. When I try to go in the automatic recovery and try to repair it says that I am unable to repair due to "srttrail.txt". I have followed many tutorials but they have not solved my problem. I also have added my dump files and system info for LEGENDARY PC MASTERS if it can help. i would appreciate any help from you guys! 120720-9390-01.dmp 120920-10046-01.dmp 121120-9703-01.dmp 121120-12125-01.dmp 121320-11437-01.dmp system.txt

Need to get to the bottom of this issue I have been having for like 2 months now. I have a list of problems that have been cropping up one by one. First one is stuttering in games and watching videos. Audio stuttering along with cut outs from microphone and headset. Recently now crashing in the new cod cold war. So attempted to fix alot of these issues as I had some suggestions that it was a memory leak problem as I was using 2 3200mhz sticks and 2 3600mhz which is now changed I rest the cmos too and put in 4 3600mhz sticks but I was still getting problems. Power plan is automatically changing itself to Balanced. now I am getting Blue screen errors 0xc0000428 along with the error ‘The operating could not be loaded, the kernel is missing or contains errors’. Do I need a new PSU or should I attempt to try and reinstall windows 10. Please help this has been really frustrating and have been working at this for so long is annoying as hell. Also my pc just booted 3 times off and on in quick succession aswell for extra info. Hi! My pc is almost a year old now and i`m getting frustrated about random BSoD errors, i have almost changed every part in my pc and i still don`t know what`s the issue, maybe someone here can help me diagnose. My system specs: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x AsRock B450 Steel legend mobo Corsair 3600 MhZ ram Sapphire Nitro+ Rx 5700 XT SE MSI 80+ gold 850w PSU OS is running on Kingston A2000 m.2 SSD (other things should not matter i guess, like cooler and hdd`s ect.) I have had so many different BSoD errors and i don`t remember all of them, here are few that i have taken picture of: * DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL * DRIVER OVERRAN STACK BUFFER * ATTEMPTED EXECUTE OF NOEXECUTE MEMORY * SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION * PAGE FAULT IN NOPAGE AREA * SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION Those crashes usually occur when playing games (few times when watching videos or something) I have changed everything apart from CPU (and for every part warranty has covered it, meaning those things have been broken) main problems started after electricity outage and that`s why i have changed almost everything. I have reinstalled windows multiple times, formatting all the drives. One thought is somehow broken but working CPU.. is that possible? Performing as it should but causing some errors overall, i know electricity outage can be devastating for pc parts. In games i usually get stable fps and no lag spikes or stutters, benchmarks are also around what they should, CPU temperatures are fine and turbo is running okay i`m guessing around 3.7 - 4.03 around that ghz ( i`m fairly new and i don`t know a lot of stuff) Cinebench and CPU-Z tests were fine, scores were around what other people were getting, stress testing CPU for 30 mins or something with aida64 and temps were also fine. For GPU i did Valley Benchmark and fps was also fine ( although AMD graphics drivers crashed one time) Also tested ram (i believe with MemTest86 if i remember correctly) and it also didn't show any errors. I`m open to idea that some new parts could be broken as well, since parts i replaced were also new. I`m hoping that anyone can help me or at least give me some idea what i should do next. Thanks in advance

I have recently made a thread about my blue screen issues. Once I used a program in order to see what the cause was, this is what came up: "This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x1C3B20) Bugcheck code: 0x154 (0xFFFFBA8F3BC16000, 0xFFFFFE020CB55000, 0x2, 0x0) Error: UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: NT Kernel & System Bug check description: This indicates that the store component caught an unexpected exception. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time" If someone knows what this means I'd appreciate getting some help

Hey guys, I need some help here! How ever I tried to overclock my CPU or rams the pc crashs and I get the blue screen" issue troubleshooting" and the pc will not run until I go to baios and reset the setting to auto. -I tried to overclock the cpu alone then the rams alone I got same issue. - my rams running on default frequency 2133 and I tried to run them on 3200 the factory capability but had same blue screen. I tried the auto overclock that my MB from Asus provides but the PC still will not running. PS: I only increased the core or ram frequency a little bit 100 or 200 MHz and still didn't work beside I didn't dare to apply any changes on voltage. The PC : -Asus Mb prime x470 pr - cpu R3 2200G 3500 - 2×8 corsair rams vengeance rgb pro ddr4 3200 MHz - GPU Asus gtx 960 - SPU 600W 80gold I wish you can help me since I'm newbie and never applied overclock before but I watched many of videos about this topic but still not working for me.

Writting this on my phone. So like i built my computer around 8 months ago (used my old ssd and hdd), and ive been getting blue screens at random intervals on and off. Ive tried to reinstall some drivers, factory reset, update gpu drivers, used malware bytes, reseat ram, update bios. The the blue screens happen sometimes when im playing games but mostly when i browse the internet and watch yt vids. The bsod varies, sometimes kmode, excpetion error, irql not less or equal (to name the ones on top of my head), I mean the computer just restarts and works like normal after them tho. Suspecting it could be the ram but unsure, wondering if it would be worth it to pick up 2x8 3600mhz ddr4. But idk of theyre compatible with b450f rog strix and r5 3600. And other potential fixes are welcomed

So, I have already made a thread about this issue, however, due to new thing happening and the fact that I dandle get any responses, here is the full story. Recently, my pc has been lagging a crazy amount. Whenever I open a game, I gat insane frame drops that just make it completely unplayable. This is not a problem due to bad specs, as I have an i5 with 8gb of ram and a 970, yet it struggles with even CSGO. After a while I get a blue screen, and my pc resets just fine. Keep in mind that these bluescreen have happened both when the pc was idle and when I was playing games. I am not good with computers, especially software, so I hardly understand any of these problems, which is why I ask for help. I keep trying to get responses but they never come, but I'll keep trying. I ran software to find the problem and these were the two types of blue screens that I had gotten: This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x1C3B20) Bugcheck code: 0x154 (0xFFFFA60736A04000, 0xFFFFC009F86EC000, 0x2, 0x0) Error: UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: NT Kernel & System Bug check description: This indicates that the store component caught an unexpected exception. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time. This was probably caused by the following module: fltmgr.sys (FLTMGR+0x3F46) Bugcheck code: 0x1A (0x3F, 0xC8B64, 0xC8B64, 0x7707D16D) Error: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\fltmgr.sys product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: Microsoft Filesystem Filter Manager Bug check description: This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred. This might be a case of memory corruption. This may be because of a hardware issue such as faulty RAM, overheating (thermal issue) or because of a buggy driver. This problem might also be caused because of overheating (thermal issue). The crash took place in a file system driver. Since there is no other responsible driver detected, this could be pointing to a malfunctioning drive or corrupted disk. It's suggested that you run CHKDSK.
