Hello once again for reading my project log. This is a short and sweet update I installed the backplates onto the GTX980 Ti Strix GPUs, then went ahead and installed them into the S-Frame chassis. 

 
I have plans to add some custom brushed aluminium panels into the sections of the backplates so that it matches perfectly with the project design. Please let me know what you think, but keep in mind that I will have acrylic water blocks installed with black cooland running through the system...

New tubing is done and the build is once again in one piece ready for filling!
 
Using EK Pastel White this time and going to be stick with that for the long term

Yeah the other issue was that AMD themselves were ordering the parts, meaning it was much easier for them to use a single retailer, Scan fitted the bill quite nicely as Overclockers was for some reason having issues with their PO.

Well that'll teach me for complaining about parts not arriving. Not 30 minutes after I replied above did this care package arrive at my dorrstep
Finally the hardware has arrived!!!! Well, most of it anyway. Scan certainly took their time with this one, I was beginning to worry that the motherboard would go out of stock again before it was sent. This is very big news as it means I can once again progress with the build. I didn't want to go any further until the hardware got here in case I needed to make any alterations.

The Z170 Stinger is finally here. It's by no means a fancy board when it comes to features (no proper M.2 port seems criminal) but at least it does look very nice.

Dominator Platinums, we've all seen these before. Best bit is these won't even be used, they're the wrong ones rofl. I need the low profile versions for this build, apparently my parts list edit didn't make it through. So whilst I wait for the proper ones, I'll rough it with these (they won't fit in the case).

This drive is really cool, but completely pointless for this build as there's no slot. I originally misread the spec sheet for the mobo, in the same way the plats weren't cancelled, neither was this. I'll use it in a future build.

One of the best bits about Noctua products is clearly the packaging. I mean just look at it, it's beautiful, shame the fan is vomit coloured though. I'll have to do something about that...

My 295 assembled with its new finish on the backplate. Its hard to get good pictures of the brushing.

 
The rest of the shots are for my glass window mod. Aww yeah, love dat glass. I bought a $4 picture frame in the size I wanted off of amazon and double sided 'tape-of-the-gods'd it on there.

 
In this shot you can see the only other bend I can do before my angle fittings arrive, and also my phoyba cpu block.

Thank you, I know not everyone is a fan of these but it's hard to make everyone happy :-) Currently i'm looking for someone in my neighborhood who own a scroll saw so i can start working on the case itself

I am so excited to see the updates! The carbon wrap is so good looking and the case hardly even looks like an Air 240 anymore. Also a really big fan of the res mounting! It looks really good even though it's so cheap. 

Update:
It rained yesterday and the day before so I could not do anything outside so the case has been untouched until today. There was a little sun after school today so after walking my dog, I pulled the wood out of the shed, and blew the cobwebs off it, and finished doing the dowels.

Woah-oh. We're half way there, Woah-oh. Living on a prayer.

Updates on this build will start to flow again now. Been super busy with moving over the last few weeks and now I'm still waiting on internet to get connected, posting this update from work.

Hi!    The project is moving along just fine. I might not work very fast but thats kind of the point, no stress!   I have been doing some cable management tonight which is challenging in this compact build. Luckily I have short mocular cables for my power supply which makes it a lot easier! Almost all the water blocks are installed aswell, just the GPU remains and that is the project for tomorrow!    I´m hoping to have this system up and running this weekend but that might be a bit optimistic... Well see. Anyway, here are some photos!

Also made sure the EK badge is facing the right way on how the rads are going to be placed inside the case, can't have a reverse or upside down badge anywhere
 

 

 
Rads are now tapped to an M4 thread as well
