  1. Which CPU in the R5 range would you suggest? Any justification on that? Why is it better?
  2. Hello. I am changing my system to mini-ITX. I use my computer for gaming & programming. I would like to also upgrade from Z77 for a number of reasons - mainly advanced storage solution support. Should I get AMD Ryzen, or Intel. I'll spend up to about £500 for CPU + Motherboard + RAM. I like the performance of an 3570k, so something like that or better - and that can keep up for the next 5+ years. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
  3. That is correct, I have no enemies. Especially any that have access to any EMP..
  4. Why do you think you are going to be subject to an EMP? But I have no idea, I just know about storage - I haven't a clue how to protect my stuff from an EMP, and frankly I don't think I need to.
  5. It is almost like you didn't read my first reply... Only use CD/DVD. NO floppy, NO HDD. SSDs are fine with magnets, but not an EMP which was your question, so no SSD.
  6. @Nena360 Yeah, like I said, don't use HDDs. CDs don't use magnetism in their reading or writing, they're non-magnetic. They have NO negative effects from magnets.
  7. Ignore him, it's a stupid suggestion.
  8. Magnets have no effect on CD/DVD. Floppy disks are magnetic, don't use them - or HDDS. I don't know about SSDs.

I need help with my Acer Aspire One

Remove CMOS battery to wipe BIOS password. Then, you can use a third party software to remove windows and reinstall on it.
  10. If you have a card that supports ShadowPlay, it comes built in with that.

    Strange "ssss" noise

My DVD drive hisses before starting up, that's also a possibility.

    how to remove sticker gunk?

DO NOT USE PAINT THINNER! It will remove your paint and erode the plastic.

    how to remove sticker gunk?

Adhesive remover, believe it or not!
  14. I agree. This is unfeasible.
