  1. The electric one is actually cheaper than the gas one lol because of the tax credits. Seems like a no brainer.
  2. I was looking at the new F-150 Lightning, considering I could get one for $10,000 off ($7500 federal + $2500 CA). Looks pretty good for $30K
  3. Probably the nicest city in the West, When I went there, I noticed that the roads were really nice and mostly empty.
  4. I understand having some gas at home in the event of natural disaster, but hoarding at these levels is absolutely INSANE.

Air cooler showed up. Now, I can get that 5800X…

    Is a 5800X an upgrade from a 1950X?
  6. I think drive speed, CPU speed, and the amount of RAM actually matters. Most of the high-end builds for Chia mining incorporate a: 5950X 64GB of RAM ~ 100TB of spinning disks ~ 2TB NvME storage If Chia really takes off, you could see Ryzen processors become scarce as well.
  7. What is this ridiculous argument? I make ~ $400-500 a month mining, certainly not enough to live off of. It's just supplemental income to my main job. Do you think dividends on stocks should be made illegal as well?
  8. Got in on IPO day for Coinbase, thought I was getting a good deal based on Forward P/E, and then realizing all the insiders dumped....

    Down 10% so far...

  9. Yeah I have to agree with this, just because something is easy to change doesn't mean that it should have a shorter life expectancy.
  10. 1) How much hashpower do you have? I have around ~ 135Mh/s, on about five GPUs, nothing huge. 2) Costs to operate? With this question, I assume you mean power costs. I pay $0.063 per kilowatt, which is a pretty good deal. 3) What do you do for summer heat? I live in the Pacific Northwest, and I live pretty close to the water, so I max out around ~ 80 degrees, which means that it doesn't really get hot enough for me to worry about summer heat. 4) Have you experienced negative health issues from mining in your bedroom? No, I mine in my garage, and I monitor the rigs remotely using HiveOS. 5) Did you heat your home with it during winter? I live in a pretty moderate climate, so I usually don't heat or use A/C in my home. If it gets cold, I'll just put a jacket on. 6) Are you an OG Miner from 3 years ago or did you just start out after the first big crash? I started mining in 2014 on a single Radeon HD 7950, but I wouldn't consider myself an OG Miner. 7) Were you surprised by the mining earnings for January/February? No, what I have been surprised by is the rise in difficulty for Ethereum considering that GPUs are basically unobtainable right now.
  11. Regular M3s are sold in the US as well; I'd rather just buy one here. The problem is that most of the ones that you will see on the market are absolutely trashed.
  12. The sound of this car is just.... amazing. Swapping the only negative, the SMG, also makes the car fantastic. Too bad it's ~ $65,000 now, otherwise I'd wait a couple more years and import one.
  13. Summary Neuralink, the brain chip implant company started by Tesla & SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, has posted its first working prototype of its product. The Monkey, who has a Neuralink implanted in its head, it able to play a game of Pong by thinking of moving certain spaces on the screen. Quotes My thoughts This is one of the few pieces of technology that has launched recently that I think it extremely cool. Being able to play a video game just by thinking sounds awesome, and I can't wait until this technology progress further, and you can do even cooler things with it. Sources The Verge
  14. I've always found it strange that someone could hold a patent on a programming language. What do you expect people to do with it? Not build applications on top of your language?
  15. Going off of the conversion rate that you gave in your post, I think you meant to say that your budget is $1100. I have no clue how the GPU market is in India right now, but if it is anything like the American market, I would avoid building a new system at the moment. If you have to build a new system, GPUs with 4GB of VRAM would be ideal, as they are not as inflated as other cards.
  16. I think you're missing a fan on the 360mm AIO, but other than that, the build looks fine. Also how did you get the 9990XE? Those things are beasts, but iirc Intel only sold them to System Integrators.
  17. That card is new enough where it should have a warranty. Have you tried RMA'ing the card?
  18. They are selling at MSRP; the problem is that the cards are out of stock within seconds.
  19. $2000 will buy you one ETH today. It will take approximately ~ 7 months to mine one ether at the current difficulty, which will only keep going up. Personally, I would just buy the coins.
  20. Even if the price of Ethereum keeps going up, I think that the miners getting into the game now have a steep hill to climb, as returns will eventually slow down as the difficulty continues to rise. So no, a $2000 3080 will most likely not ROI.
  21. Black interiors are probably the best then, they don't have to be cleaned as often.
  22. What CPU are you using? Also listing the rest of your system specs would be helpful.
  23. How much do one of these things cost in the UK? I've always been surprised at the cost of cars in the UK, they seem pretty cheap. Also, I LOVE the color of the leather in that car, and it seems to be in really great condition too.
