DarkeVortex got a reaction from LIGISTX in High loop temp?
Gotcha. I can try switching that around next time I'm draining the loop and have everything easily accessible, if it becomes a huge issue immediately I may get to it sooner haha

Almost wishing I had gotten a regular CPU block instead. Almost. But the monoblock looks sexy...

DarkeVortex got a reaction from CommanderAlex in 5950X Temperature Question
Yep. That's the plan... after lunch 😛 I think another mistake I made is that I installed the screws that hold the mosfet section of the monoblock first (this is the order the instructions give) but those are along 2 sides (top and left). Then I installed the 4 screws around the CPU after that (using the star pattern). But, next time I'll probably install the 4 CPU screws first to make sure the cold plate is mounted nice and flat against the CPU, then i can put on the screws for the mosfet portion afterwards since those use thermal pads anyway...

DarkeVortex got a reaction from Rybo in 3080 / 3090 for VR?
Definitely going to have to put some more thought into this, probably sleep on it etc, start formalizing actual plans. If I do end up deciding to go with a 3080 I'll keep you in mind! Though just for the sake of transparency my first option would be to return to Microcenter.

I've had some good luck with these cards, so either I'm in for some bad luck coming soon or my past bad luck has finally been negated. My wallet probably would have preferred a little less luck in this department, but hey.

Sorry about that - totally didn't mean to leave you guys with no information! @FakeNSA was correct, tabletop gaming table. Basically just needs to show an image or two, maybe some fancier stuff but super lightweight.

Didn't even think to go with a NUC! Great idea, thanks!
