What motherboard should I get for i5 9400f
vortextech77 replied to NikitaSch's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MMNmzY You can still enable XMP to increase RAM speeds, but if you do so your CPU warranty can be voided by Intel because its considered overclocking (which is kinda stupid to do) -

What's your budget for the motherboard? -
You learn something new every day.

Music is my biggest interest besides tech. Drums is my main instrument, I've also been getting into guitar.

Drinking molasses and a bunch of vitamins seems like one of the many gimmicky "remedies" on the internet that are in reality lies. The follicles in your hair are perhaps ageing faster than the average person. It's just a few grey strands of hair at the end of the day. Even though it won't reverse the colour of your hairs, take some time to take care of yourself. Sleep at least 7-8 hours per night, and make it a habit. Eat healthy, take occasional breaks from the screen, etc. You'll feel a lot better.

I'm absolutely loving the silver theme that you're going for, I bet the build is going to look great when completed!

I really like the look of Slim ITX builds, like cases the size of a console or the MSI Trident 3 (even though its a prebuilt PC I really like the case). If anyone could find me a slim ITX case that is similar that would be great. My budget for it would be no more than $150 AUD.

Working on some predone builds lists, thoughts?

A brand new 1050ti in 2020 isn't a good choice tbh -

Even though 3000 series card prices have been released, you should wait a month or a few after the cards are released. Crypto miners are likely to buy 3000 series cards, lots of them, which can affect the prices and stock levels. -

Since you are going to be using CAD, you could benefit from a Ryzen based system if you were to build a whole new rig. You could also benefit from some faster RAM. What's your budget if you were to make a whole new system?
