And Success!!! Got one ram stick to work 

I call this the Behemoth. This case was hard for me  to set up. As a result the cable management isn’t where I’d like it to be but I do have it up and running. This is one of the most powerful builds I’ve done.  Someone was kind enough to mention that I installed the rear fan backwards so as you can see, I got that fixed.

they don't boost as high and there's a CCD and two CCX's and an interconnect meaning there is more latency. 
there is more cache on AMD cpu's, but that's to help with latency.
 
We don't know, but zen 3 seems promising looking at the leaks and rumors (but again they are rumors) and it technically could, but again we don't know.
 
 

They had problems with P4's successor, codenamed Tejas and Skyhawk, so they changed the name. The pent in pentium means 5, so they skipped the 80586.

The 3090 is a beast, no doubt about it. It seems more like a Titan replacement than a gaming flagship. Nvidia wanted to merge the users who do professional work with gamers who have extremely deep wallets and want the best of the best. The way I see it, the 3080 seems like its a better value because you still get the decent performance in 4k for 600 dollars less and like you said only marginal performance difference. 

Hopefully Nvidia makes them somewhat affordable.
