I think I have a Core 2 Duo E4700 along with 2*1GB sticks of ddr2 ram. I'll send the photos in a while as I am busy atm.

83C is a little too much for stock speeds. SInce you bought this second hand and don't know the parts, I have a feeling you haven't reapplied thermal paste. Thermal paste tends to dry and should be reapplied every 5-6 years at least. also check if you cooler has come a little lose from all the vibration over the years.

I think @gloop meant what you are going to use the pc for (Gaming, Office Work or something like that).

Yeah I agree. But a 'Beta BIOS' is never the best option because of stability and stuff like that. Also, adding support for Zen3 is upto the manufacturer really so it would be nicer to be on the safer side.

Infernomoonsault got a reaction from zorrro_3 in 2 RAM sticks not working with 'Core 2 Duo' CPU in Lenovo prebuilt
I think the problem is that the motherboard supports only 2gb maximum ram. Even I have a similar PC from 2007 and for some reason Compaq (Lenovo, in your case) has blocked installing more than 2 gigs of RAM.

And btw dont need to make posts writing them like a formal letter. This is just a forum to hangout.
