Waiting is the best option right now, as new CPUs and GPUs are right around the corner. But if you need to buy parts soon then this is my advice: You can get a 3600mhz CL16 ram kit for less, and should be better. I would expect a NVME ssd at that price like the Crucial P1. Also a 2080 super is overkill for 1080p gaming. Otherwise looks good. Ram isn’t the issue here it’s graphics horsepower. Even a 2080ti can’t do 4K 60 on maxed out settings.

As I said in my previous post if he’s looking for best performance he should get a 5700XT, but if he wants the extra features that the 2000 series gpus have then a 2060/2060S should fit in the budget. If your looking for a sata ssd then a MX500, Western Digital Blue, or Team Group GX2 should be good. Whatever is reasonably priced.

The 3600 and any B450 MSI MAX will perform well. There are cheaper ssds than the 970 evo (like the Crucial P1) which are still good. I switched the 2070 out for a 5700 XT since it’s cheaper while still giving similar if not better performance, and it should be fine unless you wanted Raytracing, NVENC, or DLSS 2.0. I would get a better power supply than that, like the TXM 650 which for £30 more is much better. Otherwise everything else looks good.

It isn’t that much better at multithreaded tasks and is no longer manufactured so prices for it are typically very expensive.

Why would you have to change processors, the 3600 is really good, it’s better than older ryzen 7s in single threaded applications and still does well in multithreaded ones. Unless OP is doing cpu intensive tasks like CAD, video editing, or streaming then the 3600 won’t struggle at all.

It’s definitely worth waiting a couple months. There’s new AMD CPUs releasing in the next few months. As well as high end gpus from Radeon and Nvidia. Stock and price is pretty bad right now so that’s something which will probably get better. So you should wait but if you need a pc then this is the feedback I have to offer. You can save a few bucks by going with a good air cooler like the Dark Rock Pro 4 or a NH-D15. The motherboard is more than your cpu, and it’s quite unnecessary. You can get a solid B550 or X570 motherboard for under $200. The power supply is very overpriced, stock for power supplies is bad right now so I would wait or try to look for a model with a more reasonable price. You can get a 1tb m.2 nvme ssd for that price like the Crucial P1, which is still a great ssd.

You should wait for the new cpus and gpus, but if I aren’t then this is what I would change: 32gb ram is unecessary for gaming 3600 can run all games without struggling, so that should be fine the 2070 super performs slightly better and has raytracing, and DLSS 2.0 but you should get the rx5700xt if it’s significantly cheaper The ROG Strix B550-f gaming is better than the MSI MPG B550 boards

I think the used market is your best bet. Try to get a 1600af or 2600, decent X470 or B450 mobo, 16gb ram (try to get at least 3000 MHz), and a 1070 or 1080.

Thank you for informing me. I was not aware of which parts were new and which ones were already owned. If you already owned all of the parts in the first section then it’s fine, I made the list thinking all of the parts were yet to be bought. Solid air coolers have much more value than a 240 or 280 mm water cooler. But if rgb is a priority for you then it makes more sense. This build most likely won’t use more than 350 watts of power so a 650, 700, or 750 watt power supply should be fine. The cases usb c port won’t be usable and there isn’t much you can do. Since you already have a B450 board I wouldn’t get another, if you are going to upgrade get a B550 or X570.

You can use 4 ram sticks, but your current pc has Corsair vengeance ram, and you say your going to be using 2 kits of TridentZ ram. Not sure if you mean your going to buy new kits or it’s an error. If they are the same kit models then make sure the CL latency, clock speed, and model number are the same.

Or ryzen 3 3100, 3300X, AMDs G lineup has igpus, but since you have a dedicated gpu should be able to find one of these for relatively the same price.

You should be able to find an rx580 on Amazon or eBay. A gpu is not a component that you can add afterword because neither of the cpu doesn’t have an integrated gpu. The ryzen 5 1600 is better than the ryzen 3 3300X. If you can find it for less or a similar price to the ryzen 3 3300X then it’s worth it otherwise get the ryzen 3.
