  1. Hey guys, so I dropped my phone in the toilet (don't ask how, and it was clean water too) and immediately got it out of the water. When I took it out, I turned the screen on to turn the phone off and everything was working then (touchscreen and the screen.) I then wrapped it in a towel to dry it. Also, because the phone was working fine, I didn't think of putting it rice. After an hour or so, I had to leave my house so I got my phone, turned it on and went on with my day with no problems until I went to charge it. While the phone is on, it does not charge at all. While the phone is off, it will charge, but only for about five seconds then stop accepting charge for 5 seconds then start charging and so on and so on. I figured fuck... So, I went and got a back up phone and used that. Fast forward a couple of weeks to yesterday and I wanted to try and see if my phone worked. So I put it on charged and it charged perfectly fine both on and off. So then I started to use that for my daily driver. Then that same day, a couple of hours later, I tried to charge it and the same thing happened as before. Does anyone know what could be wrong other than water damage? The thing that throws me off is that it worked again of the of the clear blue but then stopped. Do you think that resetting the phone might do something? The phone is a One Plus One. Thanks for all of your help!
  2. That's exactly what I did too. I went to the first computer store and got hired. Posting that you want a job on a technology forum isn't gonna do shit. Go out and apply to places. You just need some money for personal expenses so just take the first job that hires you and work for a couple of months and quit when you have the money or if you like it enough, keep working there. @AluminiumTech
  3. Lol. I'm not a dumbass. I grabbed it out of the toilet and immediately turned it off. It's a One Plus One so I couldn't take the battery out. Then I put it in a towel wiped it off turned it on and all is well. No problems. 5-6 hours later, I tried to charge it, it didn't charge. I them put it in a bag of rice for 30 minutes and it charge. I'm using the phone to type this right now:)
  4. Especially after this, I think they are pretty bad. I'm then gonna call them crooks if they want any money to replace the phone.
  5. I put it in a bag of rice and it charged!!! So I'm back on my original phone.
  6. Hey guys so this morning I dropped my phone in the toilet (don't ask how) and it worked but it wouldn't accept a charge. So, I saw this is a perfect time to try an iPhone out for the first time ever. My girlfriend had an old iPhone 4s and that's what I used. I popped my sim card in it and restored the phone and signed in. I installed the apps that I wanted and sent some testing texts to some people. All is well. Then i get a notification for an update (9.1) and so I download it. It installed after about an hour and a half. The turned back on and boom no cell service. Restart the phone, get service forablut 30 seconds, then no service. I do a quick search in Google and I start typing "no service" and the first thing that pops up is "no service after 9.0" and in my mind, I was like shit... Well it turns out the phone broken now. It's a bug in the update and I can't get service anymore. If I try to revert back to an older update, then the phone bricks.. So that's my first couple of hours with my first iPhone.
  7. No it does not turn on. As soon as I turn the switch on the PSU to a closed circuit, the hdds start spinning and USB gets power and the HDDs start spinning. I have not pressed the on button in front of the case. When I do hit the on button, nothing happens.
  8. Yes. Its the same thing. I should also add, as soon as I plug power into the PSU, without pressing the on switch in the front of the case, it does this.
  9. I built it about 3-4 months ago so its not brand new. I was switching out the graphics cards and it worked fine. Then I went back to the original graphics card and now the computer gets power (the HDDs spin and USB ports gives power) but no fans in the case work. Power button does nothing. I'm thinking the damn motherboard shorted out or something. Its a As rock extreme 3 This isn't the first problem I've had with it. The first time, the CMOS battery died after 1 month. All help is much appreciated. Things I've done: checked CMOS battery, reseat ram and graphics card, unplugged all hard drives, unplugged power to the whole computer, tried with out graphics card, tried with out ram
  10. Oh hell yea. There are so many great games that you can get and buy a ps2 for a fraction of the cost of ps4 with no game.
  11. I have a Roku 3 in my bedroom and a chromecast in my living room. I use the Roku 3 so much more than the chromecast. I like it a lot better.
  12. So, if you don't pay them at all, you get charged with a late fee (usually about $25 even if you owe $.01) plus interest. If you pay the $10, which is the minimum payment, saves you from the late fee, but you still pay interest. To be honest, you should have looked these things up before getting a credit card. These are basic vocabulary about credit cards. Word of advice, if you don't have the money in your bank account to pay for, then don't put it on the credit card.
  13. Well the car isn't starting up when it makes that noise. It's just the noise that I hear. Could it be a starter starting to go bad?
  14. I can somewhat understand that some people don't know what a CPU is but not knowing when to do a fucking oil change in your car. That shit gets me.
  15. Hey guys, I got a quick question. I have a 98 Camry and maybe 3-4 times a month, when I start the car, instead of cranking, it's just a high pitched screeching sound coming from under the hood. I would then take the key out and put it back in and sometimes it will do the same thing so then I take the key out and put it in again and then the car starts right up. It has never done it three times in a row. Do you guys know of anything?
  16. Thanks for the info I live in the U.S
  17. I couldn't give a shit about him being banned if I lose the computer lol
  18. amd 4300 cpu, gtx 660 are the main things. I was gonna sell the thing for cheap. wasn't really planning on gutting it.
  19. I want to sell my old computer but I'm not sure how to do so. Do I ship the computer and when the buyer receives it he pays or the other way around? What's from stopping the buyer from saying the computer broke in shipping (but it really didn't) and him getting a free computer? I'm assuming I would use PayPal?
  20. I now understand that. But in our defense, it really was a joke lol.
  21. Told told a black girl to go back to Africa. (We were good friends and talked like that to each other all the time) Then she then pretending to choke me and the teacher saw it. That old bitch wrote me up for racism and her for physical assault even though we told the guy it was jokes.
  22. Eh. I've had a Pebble Original for the past year or so and then about a month ago, I went out and bought the 360 at BestBuy for $150. Returned it after a couple of days. The battery life was shit, the wifi didn't always connect automatically so when I would try to send a text from it, it doesn't work. (There isn't a wifi indicator on the watch unless to go to the settings page.) The watch not being always on was a killer for me. Plus side from it is Google Fit is a lot better. The step counter worked better and it includes a HR monitor BUT you have to stand completely still for it to work. So if you are on a run, you have to stop and then test, then go. Just not worth it in my opinion OH! And it's not water proof! The watch or the leather band. The watch is fine if you leave it on in the shower but you can't go swimming with it. But I was more worried about the leather band. It's leather.... leather doesn't like water lol.
  23. Well you can't just say that. They are getting hired because theyvare willing to work for a lower income. If I was the manager and two people applied one for 7.25 and the other for 10.00 at a very easy job, I mean well come on. Who would pick the $10.00?
  24. I like the baseball games. Only for the "create a player" mode where you, well, create a player, and he starts from scratch and you play through games and get better as you go. Sort of like an RPG. I also like to play multiplayer with my friends.
