I'm hitting a wall with my Minecraft (only an example game that's not the purpose of my machine 🙂) FPS, struggling to break the 100 FPS

How many chunks are trying to render?

Give some more examples with temps for both cpu and gpu along with the amountof usage.

Did you use DDU to uninstall the older drivers, then install new drivers from Nvidia?

If the VRMs are getting too hot, make sure you have good air flow in the case.

I just bought a pc for 87 bucks and put in it a gtx 750 for 23 bucks and it has a 290 watt power supply can i upgrade to a gtx 1650 in the future if not what are some suggestions the modal of the 1650 doesnt need external power at 75 watts TDP

If it's a good PSU, yes.

I found a good deal on a rx 5700 xt(150$), but I would need a new psu. Should I go for it. Yes it is a MT.

I did some research and I am sold on the 1660. I found it for 200 new at local store, so a sale would do the trick. Otherwise Ebay or Ali Express. Should I just risk it and not buy a new psu or be save and buy a 450 watt or higher.

That leaves you with 50 bucks and the PSU at that price is going to be a low end unit. I dont know if the PSU in your dell is proprietary and the reason why I pick the GPUs I did is because there extra power can come from the sata power cable without possibility drawing too much wattage.

So I bought a Dell Optiplex 3060 with a i5 8400. I need to add a GPU and I have 200$ budget, but I also want a ram upgrade. I was thinking of a GTX 1600 or rtx 3060. Maybe one from Radeon. I am new to this and extremly unsure what to buy.

I'm assuming an 270-300 watt PSU, so maybe a used GTX 1650 or 1660/super or RX 6600 will do. Avoid the low end stuff like the RX 6400 and 6500 and RTX 3050, the 3050 would be fine if the price was not so high.

With the recent and ongoing attempts to ban TikTok within the US, I'm curious to get peoples opinion. Primarily those in North America but everyone is welcome to chime in.

So my understanding is that TikTok in China is a cleaner version than what we get in the wester world.

Politicians are concerned about the foreign influence on domestic elections, politics and society.

I don't think TikTok or social media in general is a positive thing for people.

So is banning things like TikTok a necessary evil to protect people and politics?

Is banning the platform a slippery slope towards state censorship?

TikTok is owned and ran by the commies, that should clear things up. Really if they get banned, I don't care if people get upset.

  6. I want to remind everyone that microchip implants is something that NO ONE should be comfortable with nor should be considered. We don't need this to become a trend and catch on.

Big NOPE from me. I have more thaughts on this, but if I share them I might get banned for hurting people's feelings.

  7. This is awesome, a fully functional PC put together from other people's unwanted PC parts. Sure it's not great by modern standards, but it's something that works.

A fine example of being smart and tanking advantage of the good opportunities given to achieve a positive goal.

I give it two thumbs up.👍

what is a 4c8t i7? and the i5 13400kf isnt a thing. im looking to not spend any more on the cpu than £90 ish

Sorry, I put a k by accident because I was thinking about the 12600kf and changed my statement.

4c 8t is 4 cores and 8 threads. This type of abbreviation is common because we like shorten things sometimes, like PSU and GPU.

I underclocked and undervolted my CPU by following Tech Yes City's guide of setting fixed CPU Core ratio @40.00 and Offset voltage -0.096 (I set CPU Vcore to Normal and Dynamic VCore to -0.096) and now my CPU temps are much lower by around 16C on a Deepcool AK620. Previously it used to hit 78-80C while gaming on a ambient temperature of 37C but now it hits only 62C while gaming. Cinebench scores decreased by only 104 points.

Now I have a few questions:

    1. Is the above method safe?
    2. My CPU maximum voltage as per Hwinfo64 was 1.006V which seems a bit low. Is this normal?
    3. After setting Core Ratio to 40.00 the CPU doesn't seem to downclock at idle and monitoring softwares always show 3998Mhz. Is this normal  or does it downclock and the software doesn't catch it? Where should I look to check if it downclocks in idle mode?

Mess with the curve optimizer in the PBO settings, you may need to mess with the power limits (PPT, EDC and TDC). Then undervolt the core voltage. You can tune it so the temps are no higher than the mid 70's if you want. With some tweaks you can get 4.65 all core with good temps on a decent cooler.

I don't know what you followed from Tech Yes is the correct guide for you, but you should be able to get better performance than a stock 5800X while keeping the temps under control with a decent cooler.

i am making a list for upcoming pc but not really for gpu focused games, so im thinking of skimping out on the rx 6600 and going for something a bit less high end and more affordable. 6600 is like £210 so what sort of card could i g get that is compatible with my list for about £170?

this is the list i have so far, https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/ZzQPTY any recomendations on it would be nice. i copied it from a video i have seen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IF4cnZzBvd8 but changed the case. thanks for help

I know the i3 is tempting, but with the game performance that you are going to get at an RX 6600 level, you can get close with a 4c8t i7 for cheap. Well... at least in the usa, l don't know how the used pc market is in your part of the world, so it depend.

But hey! If you could spring for an i5 13400f or something close, go with that.

so i just game at 1080p i mostly game only and i play  games like resident evil, gta, fortnite,

is there a big difference between a 4070 or 7800 xt

i also had one person say the 7900 would be good

With those games at 1080p, anything more than maybe a 4070 ti super or whatever is is a waste.

Really, my GTX 980 ti can do fine in those games.

Should i try to buy it? I dont need it personally, but if I buy it for 900, I can sell it for like 1700 on ebay and make a profit of like  700 dollars

Anything from the bronx, Manhattan or around those areas is a scam.

Do a reverse image search, most of the time you find the same thing, but it's in a different location. Which would mean, it's a scam.
