My list includes a better 6c/12t CPU and a dedicated GPU. You'll have a way better gaming experience going with my build.

Yes, those parts will work fine altogether...
    But it's not worth $450...

    I'll recommend something like this...

    no reason it shouldn't be.

The short of it: single rank means RAM modules on 1 side, while dual rank has modules on both sides.

Dual rank can be slightly faster (1-5%), but if the single rank is a good price by comparison, there's no need to go with dual rank.

You can mix and match single and dual rank, but having said that, you'd be mixing and matching sticks and that in itself is not a good idea - but there are no problems other than the conventional wisdom of not mixing sticks.

single rank often happens when you buy a ram module that only has ram chips soldered on one side of the pcb

this os the wikipedia link explaining more detailed

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_rank

basically most ram kits like corsair lpx or similar kits have dual rank most times, only thpse ram modules without the metallic shield come single rank, but i bet there are exceptions

Why do you keep asking that?  People are recommending things that work together and make sense.   Also, pcpartpicker shows they're all compatible from your first build and all the others we've given you.

One of the great things about computers nowadays is the fact that most things are completely modular. Don't worry, everything in your list will work together without a hitch. (assuming things aren't DOA lol)

The power supply is just a bit overpriced, but all of them are right now

If you plan on gaming over Wifi you're going to want a PCI-e adapter not a USB one, you can get ITXs board that have it built in if you want a truly compact PC, there's some micro/ATX boards that have it as well.

Yes they are compatible, pcpp says so in the website
Aside from a GPU ur not missing anything, tho it's obviously an Apu system. Also, if possible, get a different Mobo, maybe an ASRock b450m pro4, iirc d3sh is bad

This is a fine build. The only real recommendation I would have is to get the Ryzen 5 2400G as it is only a couple bucks more at this time. I have one and after I added a used rx580 in the system it ran beautifully. Those cores do help sometimes, especially if you do plan on working lightly. Also going from Vega 8 to Vega 11 might be a bit more enjoyable till you get the gpu.

It'll drop right on.  The mobo would need a BIOS update for the new 3000 series, not the older 2000 series.  You're good.

To directly answer what you asked:  Yes, your original build will do you fine.  This is about what you'd expect:

The builds that folks have listed will ALL work fine for your needs.  I think what we're stumbling on is the "Average Gaming" thing.  For me that means running ANY game okay.  I play a diverse set of games, that I forget that some people only play Fortnite or Minecraft or CS:Go and don't need a mid-level PC.

At your budget, they all have pros and cons.  I think they've been sufficiently explained so you can make a good decision.

Of course, if you need more clarification on anything keep posting, we'll gladly explain!

BobThePCMaker reacted to Dedayog in Any Changes to part list?
Correct.  It really depends on what you plan on doing soonish vs what you can afford now.  Buying things that will work with better stuff later requires an upfront cash outlay for said foundation parts.

Conversely, you can save up a little more now and get a really good system for $500-$550.

xD. Thanks everyone for there help. So the main takeaway is that the parts list I originally posted is fine, but there are several potential upgrades, such as more Ram, different CPU etc?

I still say get a better mobo for future upgrading as the OP has planned.

Welp I think the conclusion is you cant really make a better parts list than anyone has made on this without either:
    A.) Raising the budget... or
B.) Skimping out on parts or quality of parts

We good? hopefully cause at this point the back and forth we've had is makin me do this...

I didn't like the lesser CPU and DIY case. DIY cases, while cheap as hell, also feel cheap and most are heat traps. NO bueno. I do think OP should buy his GPU on Prime Day or something, the 570 does seem like a solid option if low budget is his thing.

I think @star_pilot475 build was better for gaming but that 1200 will for sure bottleneck the580 plus theres less storage and no wifi which is something i think the OP needed and added for a reason. I would take this list and step it down to a 570 4gb and put back the hdd and wifi card.
