  1. Wasn't convinced to get a steam deck until the OLED came out
  2. Getting into the spooky season https://youtu.be/2qrtxj5Kc2Y?si=o_G21X5zsS4WDLTr
  3. Scores some these. Hard to find in stock at the moment due to hype.
  4. You might wanna fix the survey. The age goes from 18-20 then 21 then 25-30 which makes no sense. I would also add once a day in coffee drinking frequency as many people drink coffee just once a day in the morning. And I would add McDonald as an option for coffee chain as MC cafe is rather popular in Canada and is one of the preferred coffee chains up in canada
  5. This is why it's been the default reccomendation for me since they came out it what most gamers need at a reasonable price and easy enough to run off a dongle or motherboard where it doesn't feel like your missing out. It's honestly just the best low impedance Beyerdynamic out
  6. What is your budget for speakers and all the other components? DAC/Amp purchase depends entirely on the rest of the setup. And what stores are you intending to buy from if online can your provide a link?
  7. I mean if your not afraid to give audeze another shot the Maxwell is apparently very good. But if not for gaming refer to the first reply they have the same recommendation I would male for your budget
  8. Not the biggest fan of KZ tbh but that's pretty good value. For my money though I would just rather get another pair of koss ksc 75as a back up to like my 3 already existing pairs somewhere in this house
  9. This is one of those cases where you should benefit from a larger amp. While on paper the headphones should work great with the dawn pro. I think this may be a case of the headphone being dry sounding and the gear at the store being a little colored sounding thus making a fair amount of difference. Sundara is bright and slightly dry sounding in my opinion but when I feed my liquid platinum or liquid spark amps which are both colored and are sorta disgned to smooth out the treble it very much improved the sound of the sundara extra power also helps being out more of the oomph in the bass. If you want to read more about planar and power here is a great article by audeze https://www.audeze.com/blogs/technology-and-innovation/sensitivity-impedance-and-amplifier-power
  10. SOPs should always be living documents, must be reviewed regularly and Improvements must be added and reviewed at a timely manner after which should be reviewed by all relevant staff. I've worked in industrial and laboratory settings where we use SOP's and this is how we operate with them. I currently work for a geochemistry lab where I run assays for companies and individuals determining what elements are in their samples. I say all this as I am very surprised and glad to see SOPs used by larger internet media companies and is a nice look into a company that continues to grow in a space traditionally looked at as unprofessional.
  11. Contact Beyerdynamic and see if they can fix it for you within your budget. Beyer dynamic also sells parts if you wanna try fixing it yourself.
  12. Beyerdynamic tygr are my go tos for this budget easy to drive so no amp needed. Imo sounds better than the 990 for most music as the 990 is rather sharp and unforgiving for most tracks.
  13. Look into getting a shotgun mic. Best mic to use for a distance like a monitor.
  14. Where do you live, and what online retailers would you buy from with links so we can get an idea of what's available. Also what's your budget?
  15. Ve monks come with foams that you can put around them like classic earbuds generally do. Foams are easy to lose but really cheap to replace. The most comfortable earbuds thought for me at least is the apple earpods those tend to have a smaller profile.
  16. I personally would go for earbuds for sleep. They don't go in your ears and are very comfortable. VE monks sound pretty good and are very cheap or if you want wireless the Sony link buds are ok a bit over priced for the sound but functions pretty well
  17. What is the most your willing to spend?
  18. lol yeah if your used to very isolated headphones the openness of and open back will be something to get used to. give it a week but if your still into it the return button is there.
  19. Of those 3 I lean towards the PC 38x and the g pro x I'm not a big fan of the h6 pro. Yeah a mic won't be an issue if you invest in a stand but I will admit stand plus good mic plus good headphones is beyond your budget currently
  20. Have you considered getting a separate mic and headphone? Headsets have more potential to just leak audio into calls due to proximity to the headphone or just potentially shotty electronics. Separating them both and setting up the mic properly you can use and open back plenty of us here do for gaming without anyone hearing my game audio
  21. Yes would be easier to drive than the 702 as well
  22. For your budget I would.go for the Beyerdynamic tygr easy to power great for gaming and the sound signature does well with rock and older styles of music. Previously mentioned akg k612 and 702 are also good options buth both can be flat and boring.
  23. So I this case based on what @Spuriae has so astutely stated. You do end up losing out on some lower impedance cans. dt 900x:surely an option a little over priced for the sound imo, but you get great build quality and repairability with Beyerdynamic as they offer great customer support and sell replacement parts directly to customers. Sundara: imo worth the build concerns such a great sounding headphone especially as someone who owns their favorite amp to run these off of. But since these are expensive and peace of mind is often not worth spending less on. Sundaram also imo is not a great fit for your taste. I personally don't like hifiman house sound for those particular genres. While hifiman headphones excel at presenting drums and guitars where they suffer is forgiving bad production. Production on a lot of punk can be abrasive and aggressive for effect. Hip hop also likes a bit more bass than hifiman provides. It's not that hifiman lacks bass but the type of bass it provides can be Abit too flat and lacking in dynamics a quick headpad change could fix this.hip hop also has a issue with sibilance songs with a lot of S sounds can be very forward on a hifiman from my experience with both my own set and my time with a Sundara. But doesn't change their unforgiving nature hifimans definitely appreciate good production. MM100- I may be favoring this pick for you. I haven't tried it. Nor has anyone but it's set to release sometime in June so if your in no rush wait for these. Audeze house sound will fit your preferences better imo. They lean darker than hifiman meaning the treble will be more forgiving this while being detailed is easier to tolerate badly produced tracks l. Sibilance wont be as bothersome. And they know how to do good open back bass so hip hop will also sound great.
