for the love of dear god don't organize lists like this

it probably makes sense in some way but imo in normal use it doesn't and my brain at 5am does not know how it makes sense

Australia has a 30 minute offset for standard time?  I thought it was always 1 hr.

Not gonna lie, this list if definitely created by me after I found out about BOGO-sort

It might make more sense if superimposed on a map.  My geography is American quality (low) but they sort of vaguely seem like they form this very rough ring.  Im thinking it might be a list of destinations reachable from a specific airport or something along with the times. The weird bit is the order the information for each location is listed in.

making a google earth tour only confused me more 😂

i should probably add all the other locations on the time zone list thing too

Maybe Mercator is to blame here

They’re all ports.  Maybe it’s not air, it’s shipping.  Right in the center of that whole mess are China and Japan, but it doesn’t touch either one.

the most absolutely central to everything seems to be Guam.

  8. Entropy.

    Entropy.

Because China, although Large is only one timezone (Blame the government!), which is one of the already listed (UTC+11 or 10 I thunk) and Japan is also in one, but this time because it's smol and nearlly vertical. Obviously putting a timezone there/in china or both would make it way easier to identify- but who likes easy things?

If it’s actually about time zones anyway.  That half hour Australian time zone thing gives me pause.  Is that even real?

Half an hour timezones are rare, but definitely real.

everything with a 'striped'  infill is a half hour timezone.
