  1. If the laptop got 2 slots for the drives, I'd just keep the OS on the original drive and run the second as a bulk storage solution (a really espensive one, but...) because windows recognizes the drive and hopefully can work with it...
  2. depending on the price difference I'd really swap out the board to a B450 tomohawk MAX or gaming plus max and get a 3600 for dat gaming performance
  3. I'd rather recommend against that, simply becuase upgrading to 4 sticks in the future might harm performance and ryzen 2nd gen isn't perfectly optimised for 4 DIMM operation. @berberrieswas right, just try to squeez a little itty bit of money out of your budget and get a 2 x 8 kit for 16gig in dual channel
  4. does your pc turn on, because it sounds like nothing is getting powered...
  5. it may be coil wine from the power delivery of your gpu and nothing to worry about, it usually appears with rlatively high end cards. P.S. please don't use black text, people use the dark mode and I was barely able to read it.
  6. it says in the logs, that you should update your driver, because of crashes (I don't really trust logs they are mostly awful), but it's a first step, if that won't work, use DDU as already suggested.
  7. As far as I know that is a locked chip, where intel doesn't allow you to overclock it. You can go into intels XTU and increase the powerlimit, but that is most likely locked by the Manufacturerer.
  8. My edit from before: Afterall I suppose the Gaming X cards might be binned but with some more aggressive OC you should get them really close to each other.
  9. You'd need an actual engeneer or some employee from msi to answer that Question, what I can tell you that gpus always oc differently, even with the same binned chip. With watercooling you should be able to get somewhat similar results, or as I'm doin it atm don't oc at all and let the boosting do the trick for ya (Modern Warefare (2019) doesn't like me having msi afterburner running). Afterall I suppose the Gaming X cards might be binned but with some more aggressive OC you should get them really close to each other.
  10. The efficiency on 80+ Titanium models is pretty much the same (always over 90%) and it doesn't really matter in powerconsumption, considering the price and the overpowerdness of 1 thousand Watts, I'd rather go with 750.
  11. Try updating the bios, it might help, if not.... a fresh windows install is always an option...
  12. I'm working off of a VM at work and they have a virtualized display adapter, but I don't know how to set that up...
  13. You can run software gpu in a virtualized environment, but the performance is meh and just don't ask me how . I'd go with more cores than 8, especially for the windows VMs with decent performance and I would go with at least 32 gig of ram, just so you're not limited, and windows requires at least 2 gigs per instance.
  14. I have noticed the multi thread support to eat ram like crazy, with memory leaks but in battery I think they trade blows
  15. apropriate would be like 650, maybe 750 (I like going a bit overkill, but 1k is too much even for me ) the stability with 2 sticks in overclocking is wayy better and you are able to upgrade later on
  16. I'd rather say set your second to 60 Hz
  17. First of all, that 1000W psu is very much overkill. Second I'd rather go with a Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 3700X, instead of the i7, just because they aren't really behind in gaming performance, but ahead in anything else. The Ryzen is wayy cheaper too and you can save some buck. if you're going ryzen I'd change that 4 x 8 to 2 x 16 ram kit at about the same speed.
  18. Sometimes software shows a fully utilized gpu as 98% or 99%, this is normal and is most likely just the software. Maybe you set your stream to also be at 240fps, so your gpu is just overwhelmed by your settings in obs
  19. I use 1.26v and llc 2 on my Z390 ACE for stable 5 Ghz, but your mileage may vary, so I'd reccomend that you just go with 1.3v and see if you're stable if not increase llc and if you are decrease your voltage.
  20. I really like the mls from corsair and if you want some of that nice rgb either ml pro rgb or ll from corsair
  21. That shit weird man, I‘ve never seen task manager update that quickly, reinstall windows if nothing helps
  22. If it was an adobe product, I‘d say its probably just weirdness in boosting and power management or precision x1 just goes eh and sets it weird.
