Ok, I see your point here.

This I completely agree with. Build your audience, and care about the money later.

I was getting the blank white screen with AdBlock Plus but I uninstalled that and installed uBlock Origin and it works fine. Try swapping adblockers and see if that fixes it for you.

Well hold on now, that has its benefits. Once upon a time, I remembered a video I watched maybe 3-4 years previously, wanted to see it again, but couldn't find it. My Google Activity history was how I eventually tracked it down. It was porn.

EDIT: I read "supervisor" browser. Although, this does still make it superior IMO.

I have observed the following in the last month:
Blank white screen before a video with a "skip ads" button at the bottom right
The browser tab sometimes goes unresponsive at this stage and cannot be recovered
Quality is sometimes limited to 144p after streaming several videos in a row. When it does this, 144p is the only available quality shown in the menu (however in a different browser, all the quality settings show)

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    I am typically using:
    NordVPN
Google Chrome (might they have more control over making tabs crash with their own browser?)
    AdBlock
    uMatrix (inactive for YouTube)
    Enhancer For YouTube

These have all done fine for many years. Only recently did I start to experience these seemingly random, seemingly glitchy occurrences.

Well, this went to poop very quickly. For the record, stay on topic and help. If you don't want to do that, don't post. This is basic guideline of the forum and applies, even at these times.

On topic. Best way to do this is to get big roller suitcase. You could even run PC while its in the suitcase if you keep side open. Unless you will be carrying it over stairs etc. there's no need to take any components off. In fact, you can tip the standing case over and nothing will happen (from experience of going to LANs). The biggest scare is to drop it from 1m or higher. Or have it shake a lot while in transit.

You should probably look up that word, since you're using it incredibly wrong.

Does anyone know what happened to Ivan and if hes coming back or what? I was surprised to see him in the April Fools video after not seeing him or hearing any mention of him for so long. Typically when a staff member has left LTT he makes some sort of announcement/explanation as to why. When Ivan left without any mention of why I assumed that there was some issue between him and Linus and that's why there was no mention. Does Ivan work at float-plane? Is he returning to LTT? Is he just in the video so he can give the line about why he left?

Yes, there are games that depict violence against children. If you read the page, you'll notice how the game was banned from several platforms and there's huge controversy.

For all it's worth: In Fallout 2 you could kill children and you'd even get a child killer perk (and be hunted down by bounty hunters ever since). Later versions of the game no longer allow kids to be killed or hurt in any way... ~edit: And I think that was actually removed from the European version of Fallout 2.

I'd argue they just don't want to get any potential lawsuits or complaints which could affect their brand-name.

It's the same for most (all?) games. In Skyrim the children that are in the game are all unkillable NPCs.
And yeah. No games want to depict violence against children.

TheAncientLegend reacted to Lady Fitzgerald in Leaving an SSD in an unused laptop, will data deteriorate?
Actually, it is possible that the data will deteriorate over time but how long depends on how full the drive is, the age of the drive, the type of drive (MLC, TLC, QLC, Enterprise or Consumer?), temperature, the brand of the drive, the phase of the moon, etc. Data may last anywhere from a few months to well over a year. To be safe, I would power up the computer every few months. It might be easier to remember to do so if you fire it up every month.

TheAncientLegend reacted to nox_ in Buy a 2080 Ti now, or wait for NVIDIA's next release?
    Not really..
Recommended specs (1440p/60 fps/high quality settings)
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K | AMD Ryzen 7 1800X GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, GTX 1080 | AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 Memory: 8GB HDD: 50GB If you just want to play at 1080p with high settings
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G or Intel Core i5-9400 GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Memory: 16GB  HDD: 50GB SSD
@TheAncientLegend There always will be something better around the corner but high end cards like 2080ti will still be high end even when newer cards are introduced. imho newer cards won't be that much more powerful to blow 2080ti out of the water. If you need it now, why wait?
