  1. Good luck with that, outdated memory will always cost way more than the current standard. considering trying to buy a 512MB DDR modual for my grandparents went above $70 (At time of purchase)
  2. i can't wait for OLED to be a thing the AMOLED screen on my phone just keeps mocking my computer monitor. (BTW i have had a phone with an AMOLED screen for two years now and still haven't seen a hint of burn in, i honestly have no idea what the people who say it has burn in problems do to get said problem [ i also had a zune HD, it didn't have burn in either with its OLED screen])
  3. see if you can force the starter to crank without the ignition via the engine control module (just to see if you can get it to turn at all) if it does I'd say its something between the ignition and the body control module edit: AKA short the fuse for it (this is very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing though)
  4. "never trade luck for skill" "tracers work both ways" "a pilot who doesn't have any fear probably isn't flying his plane to its maximum"
  5. Isn't that what sleep mode does?
  6. that sounds pretty bad, I would try installing an old version of CCC, on the 15.4 drivers CCC just wouldn't start and when it did it caused trouble, I just downloaded the 14.7 drivers and only installed CCC, and installed everything else from the 15.4 driver and everything works fine now. also once you have two cards and two monitors installing drivers gets sketchy. what I do to install my drivers is close ALL programs/services not necessary, run the installer in admin mode, and close the window you accessed it from. (I'm serous, just having an explorer window open can cause a BSOD) if you do that and just don't touch it while it's installing, it should go smooth. Edit: and that FX8350 will definitely hold back the 290s in 1080p gaming. I know, I upgraded to my i7 4790k because it was having issues and i was out of straws to grab and it turns out it helped a lot (I had a 8350). but the R9 290 is for some reason just a really CPU hungry card compared to NVidia cards
  7. my reference R9 290 under load definitely. at idle it's either the pump or the HDD
  8. I have had a bit of artifacting, but it's only like 1 frame every 10 minutes, the only issue I have is crossfire basically not working. I wonder how the other AMD cards are fairing up against this game... I'm kinda curious how my old Dual Radeon HD 6950 2GBs setup would fair, considering I have multiple games where my dual 6950s will spit out more frames than my dual 290s
  9. I've been having major performance issues with this game, i'm using the Digital Vengeance specs in my sig. with crossfire enabled the game was eating 6GBs of Vram making the game run at an unbearable 10-20fps. HOWEVER if I disable crossfire it eats 3-4GBs or Vram and runs between 80-150fps. BUT there are times where the game runs at 50fps, and my GPU usage is about half. for the most part it's a good port, but I'm not getting that "it's a perfect port, take notes ubisoft" vibe other people are getting...
  10. can we please get a 144hz freesync monitor that is 24"?!? why are all of em' 27"? the only thing holding me back is that I don't have enough room for a 27" monitor...
  11. thank god they allow preloading, I have 360Kb/s (2.8Mb/s) [which I pay $80/month for] so this is a couple days of downloading!
  12. I wish my school offered programing, I would have taken any class I could get! the only thing my school offers is HTML, which was ok, but only a quarter class so nothing special. plus I'm a senior in the last quarter of the year so I couldn't care less at this point.
