I was using my mom's pixel 3xl to try and get some decent pictures of my computer but for some reason a grid of noise/grain was in some of the better photos. I'm very happy with how it all turned out. I'm just going to spend a little time cleaning up cables and reinstalling my stuff since I didn't have to end up installing a new copy of windows like I thought I would (maybe I got a retail copy from eBay, not an OEM and that's why it was $12).
Here's a video taken from a live shot of a better (still bad) picture I got.

You can't really expect to get rid of the grain due to how image sensors work.
Merge blending like what the Pixel uses can help but it's not exactly perfect. Nothing is especially in areas of the photo where there isn't much light.
Your best bet is to live with it or try additional NR if it really bothers you

i woke up at 4am for no reason today so I got on and played a little csgo and wow is it running fast. I don't see a huge difference just because I was at the same resolution and settings as my old PC. What I really saw the difference in was editing in vegas. It was so much faster just using the program and when I started the render of my video is was clearly going wayyyy faster.

Tracking says my RAM is out for delivery on a mail truck, I'm pretty excited to come home today and build soon. I just have to finish some homework, walk my dog, and then I'm free to plan.
I don't want to take the time to boot linux from a flash drive on my main PC like my brother suggested, because my mom probably won't let me near my computer and I also don't feel like learning how to do it. I'm just planning to swing by my friends house and clear out my team group SSD from his PC and then bike home. I just hope it's not raining crazy hard.
I'm also really worried that I won't be able to fit all the cables in my case because I have the mod one extensions but I really need it to work so I'm most likely going to end up stuffing the cables under the shroud

finally, newegg/UPS updated the tracking and it says my RAM will be here tomorrow. I know I was impatient, its just crazy to have the feeling that I'm finally building the PC I've wanted for years and then my RAM doesn't show up.
My mom was saying I'm not allowed to build until friday which just made me mad at her. She says it falls under the same thing as me not being allowed to play video games during the week. I don't really want to wait any longer and I think I'm just going to finish my homework tomorrow and build it in my room.

Yeah I got the CLC on sale too, so it was the cheapest AIO over any of the others for the size.
Yeah I totally get it, I've just been impatient with this whole process since I've been trying to get a new computer for so long. If I had been a little more patient I could of gotten something a little better but it's not a huge deal, since the 1070 Ti is more than enough for 1080p 144hz.
Oil Country? Hmmmm yeah I'm brain farting I can't put True North and oil country together

not really sure what the vendor of my RAM is doing they took 3 fucking days to create the label just to ship it out I'm not sure if I'll be able to set up my PC before I have to go back to school
