  1. Such notifications are understandably annoying. You might be able to disable them in the Notification settings, but I'm uncertain as I don't use Windows File History. I backup to a Synology NAS that's always online within my home.
  2. No need to change your mind; this is objectively incorrect. The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, and GeForce RTX 4090 are all objectively better cards. As with anything, whether or not these cards are subjectively better for your specific use-case is entirely up to your needs.
  3. If you're running Windows 7 or newer, Microsoft already has a pretty decent File History system that can do exactly what you want. https://it.nmu.edu/docs/backup-using-windows-file-history https://www.asus.com/ca-en/support/FAQ/1013067/
  4. The NZXT H5 Flow is designed to only accept PSUs with the fan pointing downward towards the PSU vents along the bottom of the chassis. There's not much we can really help with unless we have physical access to your PC, so all you could do is supply more photos showing different angles of the PSU as you're attempting to place it into the case. That said, usually you just need to shift the PSU around until the holes lineup.

    uh

No need to wire up seacreatures via LAN - seawater already facilitates streaming music.
  6. Based on the GTX 670 supporting both HDMI 1.4a and DisplayPort 1.2 combined with the Guide to Display Cables thread, that monitor and graphics card should support higher than 60Hz refresh at 1080p resolution, assuming a good quality cable is used. Try running the LCPOWER display at a higher refresh rate using HDMI. If it works, it's likely the DisplayPort cable that's the problem. If it doesn't work, contact LCPOWER for assistance as they're responsible for ensuring the product they sold you can operate as advertised.
  7. Troubleshooting seemingly "random" network issues can be frustratingly difficult without network logs between the user and server. I would begin by collecting details about the users who are being disconnected, then looking for commonalities among those users. For example, are all the disconnecting players living in the same region? Do they use the same ISPs? Do their ISPs handoff the connecting at the same Internet Exchanges? What are the peering agreements between their ISPs and the backbone providers at each Internet Exchange? What about your providers' peering agreements? All of this is important to analyze because there very well could be some kind of intermittent packet loss between the user and your servers caused by a backbone provider or peering agreement that neither yourselves or the users have any direct control over. Good luck!
  8. Despite all the "guides" online, I've never been able to connect a wired desktop computer to a TV / display that supports wireless display technology. Everything I've researched seems to indicate that Miracast Wireless Display technology requires a WiFi adapter that supports WiDi (Wireless Display) to initiate the connection, even if you want to route the connection via Ethernet. Why on earth would I want to use WiFi when I have access to wired? I'm sure there's some kind of technical reason behind this though. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/miracast-over-ethernet/cac0e2ab-e869-418a-9695-75cd16b345d9
  9. I am hoping it is outdated, however, given Scentbird's own FAQ article says you have to contact them, I want confirmation from Scentbird.
  10. As someone who reacts poorly to artificial (or overly strong natural) scents, I could only get behind this so long as LMG does not encourage the use of these scents in public places where people who also react poorly may be present. In fact, the marketing should include a disclaimer about being cognizant of your surroundings so as to not be a detriment to the well-being of people around you. Enjoy whatever makes your life happy, so long as it doesn't detract from the lives of those around you. LMG often includes disclaimers for epilepsy in some videos, so there's no excuse to not include a disclaimer for scented products, especially if it's something they're receiving payment to feature on their content. EDIT: @Steve Chan please get clarification on Scentbird's cancellation process. Their support article indicates the only way to cancel is by contacting their support team. Reddit posts seem to indicate the cancellation process is more difficult than it should be. If this is true, it reflects poorly on ANY company accepting Scentbird as a sponsor. Additionally, making subscriptions difficult to cancel may violate FTC regulations. https://consumer.ftc.gov/consumer-alerts/2023/05/click-cancel-we-want-hear-you https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/news/press-releases/2023/12/ftc-hold-virtual-informal-hearing-january-2024-part-its-review-proposed-click-cancel-rulemaking https://gizmodo.com/cancel-subscription-ftc-click-to-cancel-pushback-1850615222 https://www.wsj.com/articles/publishers-and-advertisers-push-back-at-ftcs-click-to-cancel-proposal-de96960b https://scentbird.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004536388-How-do-I-cancel-my-subscription- https://www.reddit.com/r/scentbird/search/?q=cancel&sort=new&restrict_sr=on&t=all
  11. Just launched Epic Games on all my computer(s) without issue. If you suspect your Windows install is corrupt, you might try a reinstall. This guide is for Windows 10, but the same logic applies to Windows 11 too, if that's the OS you're running. https://www.howtogeek.com/224342/how-to-clean-install-windows-10/ https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows11
  12. I also noticed this the other day. The CTRL+W keyboard shortcut to close browser tabs began to randomly stop working in ALL browsers about 2-3 weeks ago. The only recent useful tidbit of information I can find online is something about Samsung Magician software, which I have running on both my Laptop and Desktop. Quite strange, as I cannot find any obvious keyboard shortcut settings in Samsung Magician.
  13. Duly noted. Pulseway has been added to my permanent company blacklist.
  14. Adding to @Skiiwee29's response, things like this are why I outright disable Notifications in all browsers I use. If website developers used them responsibly (or the browser had a way to discern between legitimate and malicious notifications) I might use them, but for now they remain off.
  15. I'm not the most versed in analyzing Minidumps, however, I did discover a commonality between 4/5 of your Minidumps. All Minidumps (except for 122023-14796-01.dmp) seem to indicate the PROCESS_NAME (that caused the crash) is rlvknlg.exe PROCESS_NAME: rlvknlg.exe STACK_TEXT: ffff9d03`545c6aa0 fffff801`73a5d3a7 : 000100da`00000028 ffffc302`c1c67fe0 00000000`00000028 00000000`00000000 : nt!RtlpHpVsChunkSplit+0x5d6 ffff9d03`545c6b40 fffff801`73a805ee : 00000000`000000d9 00000000`00000d80 ffff8d0f`000000da 00000000`00000000 : nt!RtlpHpVsContextAllocateInternal+0x227 ffff9d03`545c6bb0 fffff801`73a7feaf : 00000000`00000002 00000000`00011000 00000000`65526d4d 00000000`00000000 : nt!ExAllocateHeapPool+0x70e ffff9d03`545c6cd0 fffff801`73aacff6 : 00000000`80000000 00000000`00000d28 00000000`65526d4d fffff801`00000000 : nt!ExpAllocatePoolWithTagFromNode+0x5f ffff9d03`545c6d20 fffff801`73f19b8f : 00000000`00000042 ffff9d03`545c6fe0 00000000`00000012 00000000`00012000 : nt!MiAllocatePool+0x86 ffff9d03`545c6d70 fffff801`73f0ecb9 : ffff9d03`545c71a0 ffff9d03`545c71a0 ffff9d03`545c6fe0 00000000`00000002 : nt!MiRelocateImage+0x1f3 ffff9d03`545c6ee0 fffff801`73f0d94a : ffff8d0f`cb06bd70 ffff9d03`545c71a0 ffff9d03`545c71a0 ffff8d0f`cb06bd40 : nt!MiCreateNewSection+0x629 ffff9d03`545c7030 fffff801`73f0cef4 : ffff9d03`545c7060 ffffc302`c16be760 ffff8d0f`cb06bd70 00000000`00000000 : nt!MiCreateImageOrDataSection+0x2fa ffff9d03`545c7120 fffff801`73f0cc65 : 00000000`11000000 ffff9d03`545c74e0 00000000`00000001 ffff8d0f`bae03028 : nt!MiCreateSection+0xf4 ffff9d03`545c72a0 fffff801`73f0c9fc : 00000000`0142e818 00000000`00000005 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000001 : nt!MiCreateSectionCommon+0x255 ffff9d03`545c7380 fffff801`73c2bbe8 : 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000000 : nt!NtCreateSection+0x5c ffff9d03`545c73f0 00007ff8`b920fcb4 : 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000000 : nt!KiSystemServiceCopyEnd+0x28 00000000`0142e778 00000000`00000000 : 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000000 : 0x00007ff8`b920fcb4 Of course, an EXE file could be renamed, so take this with a grain of salt but... 16. While compensation is nice, I'll never be satisfied with data breaches until people who caused the breach are actually punished in a meaningful way for allowing it to occur. To be clear, I don't mean we should penalize anyone who's just "doing their job" as directed by their boss - programmers / developers / etc. only have access to the resources as provided by their boss / MaNgLeMeNt. However, a fine of $X is usually just a drop in the bucket for most companies, and doesn't incentivize executives to prevent the problem from recurring.
  17. Have you received the shipping confirmation with tracking number? Or just an order confirmation? Their own shipping policy states that shipping estimates only apply after receiving a shipping confirmation email, not from the day the order was placed online. https://www.lttstore.com/pages/shipping-policy
  18. I've had this happen before with a Samsung T5 SSD. The USB-C to USB-C cable that came with the drive was flakey / poorly constructed, but the USB-C to USB-A cable always worked fine. Replaced the USB-C to USB-C cable that came with the drive with another known-good quality cable, and bam! The drive works fine when connecting it every time now.
  19. PayPal publishes their fees on their website, available at the link below. For more clarification about fees and whether or not it there's a fee to transfer money between your specific Business and Personal PayPal accounts, you'd be best to contact PayPal support. https://www.paypal.com/ch/webapps/mpp/merchant-fees
  20. It always helps to provide the exact make and model of the parts you're asking about. Anywho, if the motherboard has a USB 2.0 header, you could just connect the USB 2.0 case ports to that on the motherboard. If there's no USB 2.0 header on the motherboard, you could certainly use an adapter, though I'm having a hard time finding an adapter that goes from USB 3.2 Gen 1 to USB 2.0 internal headers, so your mileage may vary.
  21. Contact the game developer asking them politely to investigate and resolve the root cause of issues with their software, or at least provide proof that it's not their software so you can then contact Microsoft for further assistance. If that doesn't work, request a refund for the game through the platform it was purchased, or contact your payment provider to perform a chargeback. If none of that works, contact the arm of government that handles Consumer Protection in your jurisdiction, asking them to handle this situation where you've paid for but not received a functional product as advertised.
  22. Given that you ordered during the month of December... order processing and/or shipping delays are expected for stores of this size.
  23. Yes, because the copyright industry is stuck in the 1980's like the dumbo's they are. Their restrictive business model might've worked before we had instant access to anything and everything via high-speed internet, but in today's day and age the copyright industry is very much trying to hang on to something that just doesn't make sense anymore. Until this changes, streaming video services must play ball with the copyright holders if they wish to offer content.
  24. Depends on how the site chooses to handle connections from various providers, now, and in the future. See bullet point 1 - if the site owners want, they could block site access for anyone using a certain VPN or ISP. Untrue - it's a game of cat & mouse. Netflix / streaming video providers usually block VPN IP address ranges. Anywho, I'd suspect we can't directly help without violating the Forum's Community Standards. (Bypassing security features / restrictions.)
  25. I solve this by placing an oversized Micro Fiber cloth between my laptop screen and keyboard when I'm transporting it in something that might overly squish it together. Helps avoid things sticking to the screen and doubles as way to always carry a Micro Fiber cloth.
