  5. I game on a GTX 1070 paired with a 6th gen i5 manually clocked at 3.2 GHz on a 1440p 144 Hz monitor.
  6. Welcome. Upon further research, I've discovered that there's more to the 3 settings I've mentioned. It does look like all 3 of them hold significant impact on fps and visuals. It's very tough to distinguish concrete results because the results are going to vary when you're in different areas of the game. Here is some results I've discovered that are pretty noteworthy. Note, this is just with my hardware(6th gen i5/GTX 1070/1440p 144 Hz Monitor). Shadows - Up to a good 30 fps impact from having them off vs having them on. The difference in fps between Low/High looks to be negligible. However, the difference between Low/High visually seems to be sharp vs soft. So it's safe to say this will be a personal preference of which one to go with if you have Shadows on. Low will be if you prefer a more sharp looking shadow. High will be if you prefer a more soft looking shadow. I personally prefer sharp, so I'm setting this to Low. Again, a reason to turn Shadows off is if you want/need that extra 30 fps. Shadows GPU Usage - Around 10% more with Shadows ON. Shadows GPU Power - Around 10% more with Shadows ON. Shadows VRAM Usage - Around 80 MB's more when ON. Ambient Occlusion - Up to a good 22 fps impact from having this on vs having this off. Visually, this is going to be a personal preference. Both look good imo. It's really going to boil down to whether or not you prefer AO imo. That subtle detail vs 20+ fps(in certain areas). Ambient Occlusion GPU Usage - Around a good 22-24% more with it ON. < Very Noteworthy (creates more temp) Ambient Occlusion GPU Power - Around a good 29-31% more with it ON. < Very Noteworthy (creates more temp) Ambient Occlusion VRAM Usage - Around 50 MB's more when ON. Anti-Aliasing - Up to a good 20 fps impact from having this on vs having it off. This fps impact is tough to spot because in most areas, it's not a 20 fps impact. It's more of a 1-3 fps impact(in most areas). I was able to discover the 20 fps impact though, in certain areas. Visually, the difference is very subtle. I want to say having AA on is basically FXAA. And having it off, is having it off. Which means, you're still gonna notice tiny jaggies, even with it on. Sit in one spot, to see what I mean. Having AA on does smooth out certain jaggies, but when you play the game in constant motion, you're really not gonna notice the difference. So imo, this setting is going to be a personal preference and a personal discovery(especially if you game in a different resolution than 1440p). I'm gonna turn it off because I want that 20 fps more than wanting the tiniest detail change when it comes to jaggies in motion. If while I'm playing the game it presents an obvious difference later on, then I'll change it, it's that simple. Anti-Aliasing GPU Usage - Around 10% more with it on. Anti-Aliasing GPU Power - Around 14-16% more with it on. < Might be noteworthy for those with less VRAM GPU's. Anti-Aliasing VRAM Usage - Around 200 MB's more when ON. < Might be noteworthy for those with less VRAM GPU's. P.S. One last thing to note. A weird discovery. There's one setting in the game that dramatically affects fps in the main menu. Ambient Occlusion. I found that by switching it from on vs off in the main menu, affects fps by 400+ fps. I went from around 144 fps with it on to around a whopping 544 fps with it off. This is something to just keep in mind. Not sure how it's going to affect when you play the game. Maybe it'll affect fps when you're in the air? Or when you're in closed rooms? Who knows. Just something to note imo.
  7. It definitely has controller support. Just played and confirmed it. It's only like a gig in file size, so no reason to wait to install it. You should be able to get around 144 fps at max settings but I did notice that Shadows have the biggest impact on fps. Shadows do look great in this game so probably best to leave them on unless you have like a really high refresh rate monitor or if your hardware is older/on the low budget side. Ambient Occlusion is probably the next fps hit but it seems it's nothing major. Everything else doesn't seem to change fps much at all. For some reason Anti-aliasing seems to have no impact on visuals with it on or off so probably best to just turn it off. I can't really tell what AA does to fps, seems like no impact. Gotta play the game more to figure that out. The game looks and plays great so far. Feels like it's going to be a hit imo.
  8. This $14.99 Game is FREE right now(for its launch) at EG. Thank you!!!!!!!! Been looking forward to this game for a while and had no idea I'd ever receive it for FREE. Thank You EPIC!!!

  11. A few things that are certain about Dying Light... It's always on sale for around 65-70% off. All the time. There's no rush in obtaining it for 65-70% off. I think @foldingNoob, @Likwid and @WereCatf answered your 1st question really well. To answer your second question, no, you should not wait for Dying Light 2 vs obtaining Dying Light before hand. Dying Light is worth around $20-$25 imo. Probably more than that if you have a friend to play coop with. Again, @foldingNoob and @WereCatf explain the coop aspect really well. Your best bet to obtain the game might be GameBillet. As it has hit $8-$10 twice in the past few months there. The last week of January and the third week of March(you just missed it). That would mean to look for it to hit a similar price on GameBillet in May. This doesn't rule out April though. GreenManGaming and Fanatical would be your next best bet. As it hits $11-$12 at these places every single month. It has not hit $11-$12 at either in March, so if my calculations are correct, it should hit $11-$12 at either in the month of April. And lastly, imo, if you were to combine Dead Rising, Dead Island, Condemned, Mirror's Edge and 7 Days To Die, you get something along the lines of Dying Light. This is what gives it the $20-$25 value imo. So buying it for half that, is worth it if you like those games. If you like all these games, it's beyond worth it.
  12. This $0.99 Game is FREE right now on Steam. 597 Mostly Positive reviews. This game is 90% of the reason for this post and I can't believe it's just $0.99 outside of this limited time free deal. I played half the tracks and found the game surprisingly FUN. I describe it as a classic top-down racing game in third person instead of top-down. The graphics remind me of Human Fall Flat a little bit. The game play probably gears towards Mario Kart. Definitely a contender for a hidden gem(imo) because it just seems like if you were to somehow play this with friends, the competitive fun potential is definitely there. It's compatible with Remote Play Together so be sure to give it a try with friends. Has partial controller support and to go you use the right stick. Be sure to lower the amount of laps when playing solo. This $0.99 Game is FREE right now on Steam. 1,680 Very Positive reviews. Got this at IndieGala a year or so ago. Now we can snag it on Steam. Maybe that'll give me a reason to play it. This $2.99 Game is FREE right now on Steam. 16 Mixed reviews. Probably going to be the least played on this list. It's here because it's currently free for a limited time. This $4.99 Game is FREE right now on Steam. 28 Mostly Positive reviews. Think of this game as either those old CD-ROM discs with like 50-100 games on them or those Wii discs with multiple games on them. You be the judge. All of these games are yours to keep forever when you get them before dates ranging from Mar 30th to April 10th @ 1:00-3:00pm EST.
  13. Gotta give em' a chance to get into the genre.
  14. Thanks, it's fixed now. There was so many games today, I overlooked it. Had the title right at least.
  15. Excellent find! Totally slipped through the filters. The dev is Fruitbat Factory and also created the third $8.99 game above. They have an upcoming release called Treehouse Riddle if you're into the genre. Here is a trailer for it.
