  1. Have you tried it in on slot, testing it and seeing how it behaves? Put a single stick in, set to XMP profile and see how it behaves. Then if it does, install second stick and try. Sometimes these systems have a hard time with memory training.
  2. Vritualization, rendering, all kinds of stuff.

  4. I find if you dislike someone's voice then you find an issue or fault with the person as a whole. The guy has a inferiority complex. Small hands, tiny overall, looks like a boy and has been stuck in the 90s. <.< JK. I love you linus.
  5. They are a real work horse. Loved mine till the board in it finally shit the bed about 6 years ago.
  6. I will join you on that. I had an IBM T43 (Pentium M, 1.5GB, 40GB) as my daily driver from 2007-2010ish. All I could do is browse the web. Thing ran linux like a champ though! If I was a 14 year old kid and had that system, i would have been stoked. There are games out there I can play on it, but then i saved up (took me 6 months making $6.25/hr) to build my first gaming computer only to have the power supply die and take half of it with it. Edit: Look into getting into emulation. You will be amazed at what is out there. Playstation has some fantastic games on it. Go play the original final fantasy 6 or 7. Maybe some persona. Hell, you got good old crash bandicoot.
  7. You can still do stuff. Right now with how things are I would recommend you just stay home. Let the smoke clear then figure things out.
  8. Either way, I use to go as much as 30 miles from home. Sometimes further.
  9. Hello. I am your resident sentient pickle. Please be sure to watch the step, make sure not to hit your head and enjoy. Oh, and if you look at just the right time you may catch a mystical unicorn named Linus posting. It is like a beautiful butterfly. Keep your distance though. He spooks like a deer.
  10. I use to live in Pataskala OH. I would drive out to Columbus Oh and drive around there. Some places if you get on them will be considered tresspassing so keep that in mind. Also, I started with an IBM T43. What I did was play playstation games on an emulator.
  11. It is safe mostly. Just be careful where you go. I personally always went with a friend. Generally as a helping hand but it is always safer in twos. Let people know what you are doing as well to be safe. Right now with lockdowns and stuff not sure how legal it would be. But if it is in the trash, it is free game.
  12. Yeah, it is nuts at what you can find sometimes.
  13. Start dumbster diving. You will be AMAZED at what people threw away. I use to do that, fix systems up and resell them as a kid. I think I made about 3 grand on summer. Right now is a bad time. But check out office buildings, industrial complexes, drive up and down streets. Back of office buildings.
  14. Ah okay. I just recently found those adapters. Anything past that I want to slap Apple so hard in the head. Especially with the 2016+ MBPs. The newer systems are basically unfixable. It sucks.
  15. You are rocking a pentium for 2006/2007. At its time it was already a low end processor. So, you are going to be held back. Nothing you can do about that.
  16. What macs dot hey have? Because they have these things you can slap an NVME ssd into those systems: https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=macbook+pro+ssd+adapter Works on MBAs 2013-2017 and MBP 2013-2015.
  17. That isn't what my comment meant. XD You stated that earlier. I just googled your motherboard. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/g41m-p26/specification That is your board. Saw the blue slot, read the specs. The blue slot on your board is the PCIe slot you will plug your card into. So all good. Don't expect mircales but the GT 740 will be a lot better than the GT 610. I would say you will get between 60-90 FPS at 1080p on that card. Not sure how much your processor will hold you back though.
  18. I use to work at Microcenter. They are able to do it without issues. I use to buy stuff as an employee as cash and on two cards (cash, debit and gift card). No issues. The cashier just gotta ring it up on the system correctly is all. Nothing crazy.
  19. HP has been doing a great job with there systems lately. Love the HP Elitebooks.
