bought my 386 with membrane model m lookalike
broken that piece of crap in two months
been given MS Natural v1.0
that lasted till 2011
replaced it with slightly used Natural 4000 for ~10 usd [some scratches and whiteish plether; left riser broken]
I'm too used to that layout
 

I consulted a friend who wanted a gaming PC, told him what to buy and said I charge a 10% flat rate for the first day and hourly after that with free repairs.  On the day I go over to his house to build the PC he tells me he also invited another friend who knows a bit about computers.  I don't know if you know the feeling of being around another tech head, but just the thought got me excited because I know nobody else irl that enjoys PCs as much as I do.  I go over there and explain what's going in the PC, just a simple APU build.  He knew nothing except for basic identification of the parts.  I was super disappointed, so I spent the next 2 hours putting it together while simultaneously explaining and answering questions.  I had a great time doing it, don't get me wrong, and to their surprise it booted up first time, at which point the one friend said, "Hey, I thought this was going to be quiet, you lied to me."  Then I had to explain to him that I had to change the settings in the BIOS, he then proceeded to say the computer didn't come with a BIOS and looked in the case's box.  I was thoroughly amused.

People in my school think bigger hard drives make a computer faster.

" I swear touch screen phones use more internet than non touch screen phones" I just overheard that in class today... I don't even....

I was doing a questionnaire on favorite brands yesterday, and this woman was asking me questions.
When it came to mobile phones, I stated that my favourite was HTC, and she looks at me and says: "I've never heard of that brand before." *facepalm*
 
Then she proceeds to ask me which brand my computer is, and I tell her that I built it myself, and I got the feeling she didn't even believe me. Apparently, she did not know that you can do that, hahaha. 

"How come you have three computers?"
"Oh, those?" *points at gaming, server and guest PC*
"No, those are hard drives! The computer is on your desk!"
*facepalm*
 
Literally, so many times... I think I have a permanent palm shaped bruise on my face.

I was speaking to a friend today and he said he played minecraft on his dad's PC (I don't think his dad is a gamer). A bit later on I discovered that this PC is watercooled, apparently with a custom loop. A bit of a waste of such a powerful system just to play minecraft. Then I ask him whether it's overclocked, to which he says no. He has a custom loop water cooling system on his computer and it's not even overclocked. If only I had that kind of money...

Friend of my parents walks in and see's me editing a video in premiere on one screen and half watching south park on the other. He says "woah how did you get the t.v hooked up to there. I tell him its on itunes and then he says "but its not a mac and I thought macs were the only things you could do that with"

One day he asked if Ps3 has HDMI, so I replayed:
-Yes, of course
- And how do I connect it to my monitor?
-Emm, you just plug the cable into ur monitor and PS3
-How do I do that?
FACEPALM
He- And I have a strange HDMI.
-Maybe you have DisplayPort, they look similiar
-No it is HDMI
-Mini Hdmi, maybe?
-No it is HDMI, ill send u a photo.
And he send me a pić of a VGA connector... Yes image the look on my face...
