PSenapus got a reaction from Glenwing in No one is smart enough to answer this?!
I'll give you my experience and opinion with this matter:
    I have two displays, a 1920x1200 and a 1920x1080.
Many games have the locked Z axis, isometric games especially, like league of legends. These games allow you to see more, and have a wider field of view with wide resolutions and ultrawide resolutions. 1920x1080 will give you a technical advantage.
The other games behave differently and allow you to see more based on the amount of pixels your display has, 1920x1200 wins here.
However, 1920x1080 has less pixels than 1920x1200, meaning your graphics card has to render less pixels with the first resolution. Resources demanding games will be harder on your GPU with the 1920x1200 resolution.

The solution is to get a 1920x1200 display that has display scaling capabilities, so you can run fullscreen games at 1920x1080 with black bars at the top and bottom. This way you will have the most versatile setup.

Actually, Palit is the largest graphics card manufacturer in the world apparently.
PNY however might not be that big in the GPU department but they're damn large. They manufacture ram, ssd, usb drives...
That is what is confusing, both of them are manufacturers and offer OEM production.
The AMD side isn't as confusing. The only confusing thing there is the TUL corporation (Powercolor, Club3D and VTX3D)
Pretty much like PCPartner for nvidia (Zotac, Manli and Inno3D)
I mailed Palit and waiting for a reply, but I doubt they will reply.
I should probably mail them with my company email.
I'll be waiting to see if anyone finds out more about this, it's very interesting.

    Reasearch has turned up:

    PNY:
Established in 1985 Available in 50 countries (HQ in USA) Has office in Hong Kong (may be important, it's a small similarity) Germany office is located at Münchener Str. 17, 85540 Haar b. München Palit:
Established in 1988 (China manufacturing department est. 1992) Logistics center is in Hong Kong Main HQ is in Taipei Germany office is located at Otto-Brenner-Str 5 47877 Willich
I might try looking into this further, though I doubt they're the same, based on the Germany locations.

I'd like to buy a new graphics card.
I've been an AMD graphics card user for many years, and I'd like to try buying an nvidia. (My last nvidia was a GeForce FX 5200LE.)
I am interested in the GTX 770 and I couldn't help but notice some similarities with the cooling solution and PCB design of these 2 brands, PNY and Palit.
Google says both PNY and Palit (a.k.a. Gainward) are manufacturers.

I'm in europe and both Palit and PNY can be bought almost anywhere.

PSenapus reacted to ericlee30 in How to individual cable sleeve forking PCIE madness
The cleanest way to sleeve these kinds of cables without cutting anything, would be to use heatshrink instead of going heatshrinkless for the 1st PCI-E cable before it splits off to the 2nd connector and then choose whether or not to go heatshrinkless with the extended cable or just keep it heatsrinked look as well. The best way though,If you are only using one GPU or even dual GPU's and the PSU comes with 6 PCI-E cables, you can cut the cable that is extending off the first cable for a very nice clean heatshrinkless look all the way around.

Yeah, the fan profile on the 6970 seems to be a bit weird. For me it would be almost silent most of the time, then it would suddenly spin up for a while and then go back to spinning slower again. It seemed to have only two settings, slow and full blast.
