  1. Try a different cable, try a different output on your gpu, try the igpu from your cpu if you have one, try connecting to a different display. Rule some shit out before you contact your display manufacturer.

    Bluetooth?

Thanks guys, I went with a wifi module since my board has a slot for it.

    Bluetooth?

Not sure if this is the right place for this topic but it does involve Peripherals so yeah(?). Anyways I'm building a new system and the motherboard I chose doesn't have built in wifi so no bluetooth. what would be the best way to add bluetooth to connect a controller to my pc? I could add a wifi module or a bluetooth dongle?
  4. I found this while browsing around, more then 800w but it got a pretty decent discount on it https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=33_1938&item_id=242250&language=en Canadian Pricing.
  5. thanks ill look into that.
  6. So I'm the middle of planning a new build, got my hands on a Ryzen 9 7900X3D for cheap (cheaper then a 7800X3D), and I'm looking at either a RTX 4080 Super or waiting for RTX 5080. I plan on overclocking, nothing crazy but whatever I can get out of them without much hassle. pcpartpicker is estimating 608 watts, with the overclocking would an 850 watt be enough or should I be looking at something more like 1000 watt?
  7. yes I found a video on this the other day by Hardware Unboxed on YT I think it was.
  8. I'm not planning on going crazy with the oc just going to get what I can easily get. only issue I see with your changes is the case I bought doesn't say that EATX boards are supported and the Taichi lite is EATX will that be an issue? Also since I'm not planning on going OC crazy is the 1000w PSU required? pcpartpicker is saying 608w estimated not sure how much that will increase with some light/moderate ocing? I bought my monitors less then a year ago they are GIGABYTE M32QC 32" Curved 165 hz and a similar matching 27in flat panel that I use in portrait.
  9. Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming & Light Video Editing/Encoding Last 5-6 years I've been busy with a new job and saving for buying my own place so I worked a ton, while I was saving I was renting a small room off my brother and didn't have room to setup a desktop so I have been using a couple different highish end laptops and using a lapdesk just gamed on my bed. Now that I've bought my own place and have room for a desktop it's time to look into building it. Here's a pcpartpicker link to what I have in mind so far. Current cost $3067.66 CAD (($2231.77USD) (CPU and Case already Purchased)) Case: NZXT H6 Flow Processor: AMD Ryzen 7900X3D (Found at a huge discount 47% off + another discount code ended up getting it $419CAD ($305USD) shipped which was less then a 7800X3D Before taxes $489 CAD ($356 USD)) CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360 CPU Cooler MOBO: ASRock X670E PG Lightning ATX (another member recommended the B650 version but the X670E version was cheaper, specs looked similar lemme know if there's a reason to pay more for the B650 version) Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6400 CL32 Memory (this memory is listed as compatible) SSD: Verbatim Vi7000G 4 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME GPU: MSI EXPERT GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER PSU: Corsair RM850x (2021) 850W (I plan on overclocking thinking this should be enough?) I already have Mouse and Keyboard, Speakers/Headset, and 2 newish 1440p Monitors. So I use bluetooth for my controller so I was wondering what would be the best method to add bluetooth to this system as well, usb dongle? m.2 wifi card?
  10. so I filtered the pcpartpicker list of mother boards and this is the list that is available to me in my price range. I excluded any smaller then ATX boards and anything bigger. I also filtered out Asus boards for the reasons I said above.
  11. Canada, prices seem a little wonky right now.
  12. Thanks for the reply, currently the 7800x3d is $489 before taxes, I got the 7900x3d for $419 shipped so that's why I bought it, I'll look at these boards. edit: whats the difference between Pro X and Pro AX? on pcpartpicker they have like a $200 price difference, i see that the Pro X is x670e and white but from a quick glance they look similar. can't really seem to find a Pro AX under $598 cad which is a hard pass.
  13. Ok, I'm going to get a 4080 Super and NVME SSD so as long as they can handle that without any slow downs they should be fine. oh shit, that b650 pg lightning is a lot more expensive in canada, looking at like $223 USD after conversion ($307 CAD), and the taichi lite is like $359 CAD.
  14. Thanks for the reply forgot to mention that my budget is around $300 usd for the motherboard. As for the i/o I don't really have any specific requirements. Right now I'm using a laptop so almost any desktop motherboard will be better then that, another note is I will be overclocking the cpu.
  15. Thanks for the reply, I forgot to say that I'm going to avoid asus for the time being as a lot of people are having trouble with them with warranties, i don't need that headache. I'll look at the 6000 range for memory.
