I know this is old but I have a relevant point, every time i'm sat in IT class and I've done the work my teacher still tells me off because looking at the g1 sniper 5 and 780ti isn't appropriate apparently. My school also just blocked LTT

Exactly, its about respect and that's the flaw with some modern generations. It's about being able to debate something, not argue it and to listen to what everyone has to say imo

You can moan about children from your generation all you want, but they may simply just not be interested in computers. PCs and hardware is obviously your hobby but these people that might not know much about pcs may know a lot more than you in their specific fields of interest.

Basically, I know this thread is for fun but you can't get annoyed at someone for not knowing something that isn't exactly common knowledge. Instead, you could maybe help them understand PCs / builds etc

Hello Guys! Its been a whole year can you believe it! A lot has happened since my last post and I have a lot to show you guys. Sadly I have no picture for ya'll because I am lazy , and my computer isn't quite perfect. Since the last post I have ordered and installed my dual 970's as well as set up my two beautiful Asus PB278Q's. When I got my GPU's I never made cables for them because I was low on supplies at the time and I have been running them with stock gpu cables ever since. Right now I am in the middle of my first semester of college so time is a bit hard to come by! I think that once winter comes and my semester is over I will have time to order more cable sleeve and pins so I can finish my build! I will try to keep you guys updated on the build when I start it up again. But until then I will be busy at school! Finishing picture will come!

Make sure not to get a 2 sticks of 2GB, get only 1 stick of 4GB, so you'll be able to upgrade to 8GB once you get the GPU card. (The mobo you mentioned have only 2 DIMM slots)

Which PSU ?, this is essential !

OK so I decided to make this shit real. Every fan in the PC will be replaced by these.

I will also be using these on every fan.

And some teaser shots of the cables.

Now because of the way the PC is inside there is hardly any cable management. The cables tend to just free flow which is fine, because those blue cables will look lovely. However, I will need these.

I will be placing the order next Friday, so expect the action to begin shortly after

Guess only one person looked, lol, anyways. Just some general info here, my computer now fully works again after three RMA's of a 780 Lightning and I'll try to get pics up of the whole build ASAP with the RAM installed. This is the first and last major update of this year most likely. I crashed my truck and its gonna be $2000 to get the dents popped out and it repainted but there will most likely be some smaller stuff like some HDD's or painting or something of that nature. I hope you're enjoying the build so far. I hope I can continue it on. Check out the update ABOVE.
Also as a afterthought. A little #throwbackthursday to my old motherboard.

A few people around the web have asked about connecting the vertically mounted GPU to the mobo, and the solution is actually pretty straightforward.
I've always been annoyed at how one of the most beautiful parts of the build (the GPU) is hidden and all you can see is the backplate/PCB and so I'm committed to avoiding that as much as possible, and a few handy items, as pictured below, can help with that.

The right angle PCIe x16 adapter allows vertical mounting, the PCIe riser allows distance to be had.
    More coming soon!

Right. So today I ordered two all black 92mm fans. It's highly annoying that NZXT supply black and white fans with a black adapter. Very, very annoying but thankfully £4 for two Antecs will do.

OK so it's time to tackle the ugly adapter itself. Time to give it a bit of a custom shove

    Draw.

    Send to plotter.

    One.

    Both.

And I'm a lot happier with them than I was an hour ago.

Test Mounting of the Waterblocks, and modding the flipped GPU.

Allright, got alot of work done last few days. Test mounted the blocks to see how it looked best,

then flipped the gpu, bend some acrylic sheets to act like supporters for the gpu, and added some velcro tape to hold it in place.
after that, it was time to figure out how i wanted the cut in the case and pci slot cover to be.
Then after the cut i saw i cut too big of a hole, but still its okay
I also was thinking alot about the pump placement, if i wanted it next to the 120mm rad, mounted in the back at the mobo tray, or where to put it for the best looks..
Then i thought maybe i could make another acrylic piece bended in the angle of the GPU, so that the Pump actually is tilted in same angle as the GPu, and i must say it's got the look i was hoping for ..
Also cut out a hole for the LCD temperature display..
But still awaiting the final piece from Parvum, so maybe i will change it later or redo it,
but for now it works out great i think

I also drilled holes for the reservoir mount, and shot a few pics with everything in its place, and also with the window on to see how it looked

So what do you think guys ? .. next up will probably be installing fittings and tubing and figuring out the loop

Hey Guys, i got this build for about 4 months now and never cared to upload it.

But now i start doing some mods and still have some stuff on my mind and i like to know what you guys would think of it,
    What i did already?
    - Replaced the plexiglass sidepanel windows for temperated glass with non-reflective coating(reflects 2%)
    - In the pictures below i changed the geforce gtx logo white, replaced the cooling paste and painted the edge of the pcb black.
    - Take one of my led strips out and put it under my case(underglow effect)

    Planned mods?
-paint the silver parts on the graphics card white with plastidip.
-paint he motherboard black or white, not decided yet.
-make a cover out of plexi(white color) for the radiator and fans to hide them.
-make a cover out of plexi for(white color) put over the back of the case and hide the IO and stuff.
-buy or make custom individual sleeved cables.
    -maybe new ideas?

So, im back! Ive been far too busy to be around lately, but I have just started this little project, so thought id share it with you all!

First things first, I would like to thank

There may be more sponsors to come soon, but I will add them if/when they arrive.

    The Idea

Well, me and a rep from BitFenix UK have been chatting about a few little builds and ideas when we decided it would be nice to see a Pandora get some loving. I didn't really know what I was going to do with it, but I liked the looks of the pictures id seen of them so I thought id give one a go.

Of course I then contacted my awesome HyperX guy to see if he wanted in, and well, put it this way, 5 days later, I have the case, RAM and SSDs ready for the build!

    some product porn

So HyperX asked me what I wanted for this build, I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to do with this one, so I just opted for 2 small ssds (120gb each) 16gb of ram and some other bits that will be arriving soon from them!

Here is the first parcel I received from them:

I really am happy that HyperX are on-board again, thanks Krystian ... I have plans for these products, so keep an eye out!

Bitfenix also sent me some rather nice goodies,

From them, I have a case, PSU, Cables and LEDS... im still waiting on the LEDS but the rest arrived today!

    a lovely looking case:

    and the PSU

I will show you the cables a little later on, I again have a few things planned for them, as you know, I dont usually use aftermarket extensions, but I thought id make the exception this time!

    So... On to the modding....

Welcome back to the Cosmos 2 Sauron LOTR case mod!

This project has taken more time that i have expected it to take almost to much time!
So i'm currently going to do so much that i can do and it is expected that this project should be done within a months time!

I feel really useless with not updating so much and i'll hope i will be better at it now!

My sponsor DMfineArts which is a really good guy at painting have showed me some more artwork of the build!

    What do you guys think?

I really like it and the result will be stunning, can't wait to customize the loop and modify the case when it gets back in my hands again!

I hope that everyone has had a a wonderful break from job, school etc and wishing you the best for 2015!

Many great news for me to come!

You can't see it, it's buried under the bottom Titan Black tbh.

    Necro bump.

OK, so I have a few updates of which to speak of. Firstly, BPM is getting a third GPU. Not another Titan Black (sadly) as those days are behind me now. However, what I do have is a GTX 770 with a Titan cooler. My 65" screen is all but ready to go on the wall next week so I want the 770 to drive my 1080p desk monitor. Plus it will look epic sandwiched between the Titans. So I have ordered some all purple braided cables for it (same as the ones in there only all purple) and I have to take apart the EVGA SLI bridge and will use my heat gun to remove the middle SLI finger.

I also have a different PSU in BPM now, one of these in the 1250w variant.

Which should provide more than enough power. I can also use the 770 for Physx to see if it makes a difference.

Last but not least I ordered a purple blacklight cathode kit from Ebay shortly after I built BPM that never did get fitted. So that will be going in too, once the braiding arrives (purple) for the wires on the cathodes

So soon there will be lots of photos et al. I also need to give it a ruddy good clean so here's my excuse

Update! (even though no one goes on this thread anymore...  )
I've almost finished. Just needs painting, but other than that I am currently typing this update on the new build.
    Pics:

    This is just the framework.
Here is with motherboard tray, etc. welded on. I made this with parts from the old case as well as steel brackets.

And here are a few shots with it put together, without paint and plexiglass, of course.

Let me know (if anyone actually sees this  ) what you think and if looks even close to an In Win D Frame.

    Cheers! More updates to come.
