  1. You know, I think I was watching a video by Life'sAGlitch on youtube and they were handicapping themselves in various ways... Pretty sure one of those ways involved building their Command Centers unusually far away from resources. So maybe you were playing against somebody doing some kind of low-tier cheesing? Anywho... here's a really old screenshot from one of my favorite game series.
  2. Dark Souls 2 (it's like 99% SP for me), and Witcher 3.
  3. No. But some 6-pin connectors have a separate 2-pin connector attached to them to make them compatible with 8 pin connections.
  4. If he isn't going to overclock, I'm sure it will be fine. I'm guessing he's worried about the VRM issues that a lot of people have posted about on many of Newegg's AM3+ motherboards?
  5. Photoshop and dreamweaver work? Start with an i7 and go from there. To be honest, just about anything you buy today will run those apps fine. They're not exactly hardware-demanding...
  6. Every once in a blue moon, there's a server that just lags to hell and back. I was just playing on one of those servers earlier today. Completely random... random maps when it happens. Sometimes, it's just the server. (Other people were complaining and the lobby was only half full by the end of the game). So if you're sure that's not the problem, then a new CPU would probably fix it. I did read some reviews that the 4170 doesn't have great threaded performance, and I know BF3 and 4 are optimized for that.
  7. 8350 should be a fantastic upgrade. And it'll run BF4 well... as long as your problem isn't caused by another issue entirely. I've been playing BF4 on an FX-6300 and it's handled full 64 player servers no problem.
  8. I love my Deathadder, though I don't have the 2013 Edition. I can only imagine the 2013 would be superior, as it has the rubberized grips on the sides instead of the smooth, glossy plastic of previous iterations. I've also heard great things about the Logitech G500, though some people prefer optical mice to laser.
  9. That's still a rumor. And it would be really bad form, considering how many people are getting the DLC with Premium anyway... so they technically don't even get the "sorry".
  10. Link is best character because no character, right?
  11. Best character? John Marston from Red Dead Redemption Best atmosphere... the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series... hands down. Followed closely by the first Bioshock.
  12. I'm torn between the feeling of "look how much dust that intake filter trapped" and "look how much dust is caked on that heatsink anyway"... But alas, this is why I'm glad I live on a farm with an industrial air-compressor...
  13. That thing is badass.... and I normally despise white builds.
  14. I have one friend who plays BF4 on PC and he rarely plays anyway... Origin: Telliks_89 (don't ask) I don't have a headset at the moment though.
  15. Most games are oversaturated and look "cartoony". And then when developers try to make something gritty and more realistic, they're usually flooded with complaints about how dull and grey/brown the game is. Sorry folks, "realistic" is boring... you can't have it both ways.
  16. Yes, the cards expire. Though if you reach level 5 BEFORE the sale ends, you will get all of the cards that you have earned from voting. So maybe make a badge or two from other games...
  17. Dead Space is a great game. Not so much "scary" (it's full of mostly jump scares, but there are a few creepy moments), but I really enjoyed the story and the atmosphere. It reminded me a lot of Aliens, just with the design of the ship and the way the Necromorphs pop out of vents. I played it on the Xbox 360 years back when it was released, on a 52" tv with surround sound in the middle of the night. Great experience.
  18. By "dying" I mean the routers cease to function. All devices connected lose their ability to detect the router. As for contacting Netgear, you might want to start here... http://support.netgear.com/
  19. I JUST bought one of these, and it's been running just fine with an FX-6300. I ran a series of benchmarks with 3D Mark, as well as playing some Crysis 2, and several hours of Battlefield 4. I've had none of the VRM issues (which is the most discussed issue I've seen for this board...) that I've seen around. I also have Revision 4 of the board. Obviously, your experience could be different with the 8320. But I saw reviews of overclocked 4300s being throttled, so I don't know.
  20. Stay away from Linksys. Everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) in my family has used Linksys at some point, and they've all died within 1-2 years. My sister had two of them, and they both died within a year. I made the mistake of buying one just over a year ago, and it died a couple months ago. Go buy Netgear. I've never once had a problem with a Netgear router. Everyone I know is now using Netgear routers and they're all happy. I'll never buy Linksys again.... took me far too long to learn that lesson. They were the best routers you could get 10 or so years ago, but they're not even close anymore. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122235 EDIT: And I just noticed the last line in your first post. LOL Disregard...
