Ghostsquidy reacted to Furiku in What should I review next?
"China Bomb" Power supplies. Worst case scenarios shown to us what happens with bad low quality power supplies, them burning, destroying systems etc.
Would give you guys excuse to use those sweet movie style action special effects again on the editing thumbnails!

Ghostsquidy got a reaction from TechyBen in I need help! I dont get fps by lowering res.
Look around in nVidea control panel and make sure that "performance mode" or whatever it's called is on instead of optimise performance. Then uncheck any fps or vsync options in there

Probably PSU, I would recommend a 450WATT at least

Ghostsquidy got a reaction from Anghammarad in PC flashes half a second when turning it on and then shuts down HELP!
Try the spare power supply first as the zapping sound might be a dead PSU. If that doesn't work then I would try shorting power button pins on the motherboard that connect to the power button with a screwdriver just in case the power button is weird and not connecting right

Ghostsquidy got a reaction from tarfeef101 in What are actual pitfalls or disadvantages to PC gaming?
I need to do a persuasive presentation in school and the topic I chose was why PC gaming was better then consoles. But I need a counter argument to show my research. Then I can also show the faults of PC gaming and give as much info as I can, thus persuading the audience by making a suggestion as opposed to a rule.
TLDR: what are actual problems and pitfalls to PC gaming. For a presentation

Ghostsquidy reacted to Jose Camoes Silva in Statements that trigger tech fans.
Trigger: people who don't know anything about tech bragging about specs of whatever product they bought because it was the "premium version" of whatever everyone else is buying;
Trigger squared: when said people use incorrect units ("my MacBookPro has 16 MHz of RAM and 500 MHz of disk" nope, not kidding);
Trigger cubed: when said people argue when you try to correct their units;
Trigger exponentiated: when said people pass themselves off as experts…

Ghostsquidy got a reaction from kirashi in Help setting up stream PS4 through PC without external capture card?
The only way to do that without a capture card or using sony's software is to sprinkle ranbow dust on a lightsaber and use it to sacrifice an ethernet cable to the bandwith gods.

Ghostsquidy got a reaction from asus killer in Thread For Tech Quickie Video Suggestions
I've always wanted to see a video on upgrading "older" hardware such as 2010 2011 type stuff that's not totally gone. Such as: a system wide upgrade, GPU upgrade and the ever speedy SSD upgrade.

Ghostsquidy got a reaction from handymanshandle in Nvidia GTX 1080 vs freesync
No, you don't need to switch anything. Just make sure that you run your games at a steady framerate and mess around with your monitor settings and see if you can switch refresh rate to something lower.
