I don't see any Xeons on the support list for that motherboard, but maybe you know something I don't.  If you get the system to boot then it would have to use the DDR2 that the board is made for.  If you need to update the bios to get it to boot with the xeon, you WILL need another CPU on it's support list to get into the bios for the update.  GOOD LUCK!

Given that you have the specific use case of playing racing games:
 
I suggest you drop the 4K idea and go for a 3440x1440p ultrawide display.
Your games will look better and more realistic, your framerates will be higher, and you can probably turn on more of the high-end details and enjoy that card you saved so hard for.

please edit your post and use automatic colors.. many use night theme and your color choice makes it literally invisible to read..

EVGA has 3 year warranty (from the purchase date on the invoice) for model ends with -KR (https://www.evga.com/support/warranty/graphics-cards/)
 
So just ask him for the invoice, and if u have any problems just RMA through EVGA, they have good customer service.

Oh and make sure he un-register it first from his EVGA account.
 
If it's still registered under his account, you won't be able to register it for RMA
