    Mining is dying (again) and the 970 will offer nothing with a 1080 Ti installed.
     
    You can have both installed, but I can't see a reason to.

    Wouldn't buy any card now prices are a joke. Give it time when the mining boys crash market will even back out and will be a ton of cheap hardware for sale on eBay etc!

    Highly doubt the overclocked 4690k at 4.3 will bottleneck a 1070 has hard as you say must be something else up. Even my 1060 with the 4690k at 1440p on bf1 on ultra (post process medium) holds at 60 with vsync on easy as you like.

    Ah okay, sounds a weird one this, try it on just a death match with not 64 players and see what the fps is, more players more cpu bottleneck as there is more going on and see how if fps are higher like that

    How old is the card? Does it do it in other games? Could be failing or degradation?
