  1. As much as I really really really want Nvidia and AMD to step in and block mining on their cards. Truth is that's never going to happen. They made the cards, and those cards are selling faster than they can make them and for way higher prices than what they were asking. Nvidia and AMD don't care who's buying them and what they're doing with them, since they got paid, and got paid a lot more than if we gamers were to get them. At the end of the day they don't give a fuck. Did they ever have them in the first place?
  2. Are they really? I mean right now sure gamers are pissed because they can't get the cards at msrp or even close to it, and this whole crypto currency mania might last until the end of the year and then come back again, while it will have its ups and downs which will allow people to buy the cards are "reasonable" prices. I honestly don't think it's going to go in the next 10 years, unless the governments intervene. Personally I don't think it's going to affect them or the PC gaming industry almost at all. Yes, of course some gamers are pissed right now, but it's just a loud minority. The ones that want to play AAA games will almost certainly get a console, while pc gamers will probably fix themselves on Overwatch, PUBG, CSGO, LOL and indie games, you know games that don't really require a lot of graphics horse power to run them (apart from PUBG that thing is the new Crysis but without the good graphics) I know the argument of brand loyalty down the line, since we gamers will continue to buy from these companies years from now thus supporting them in the long run, while the miners don't care about the brand, but about what makes them the most amount of money. But is that really true? As long as AMD and Nvidia put out products that do a good job at mining, then why wouldn't the miners continue to buy their cards 5 years from now? So as long that's a thing, AMD and Nvidia and anyone else who benefits from this, don't give a fuck about us gamers. As long as the money keeps coming, who cares who's buying the cards and what they're doing with them?
  3. Just order one 8GB stick for about the equivalent of 80£. Bought it in advance cause I've heard a rumor that ram prices will go up even more. I'm curious to see if it will overclock like yours.
  4. I ask because in the past I've only bought Corsair, Kingston and A-Data, but never from Crucial since they're pretty new in my country. So is it good or not so much?
  5. Just hit play. PC gaming is fucked. Also rumor although I don't think it's rumor, RAM prices are going to go higher.
  6. In most games, it doesn't bottleneck it.
  7. Here's the best solution for people who want to play games. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16868110214&cm_re=ps4_pro-_-68-110-214-_-Product You're welcome.
  8. I have a question. Who even decides the value of crypto currencies? Who is the one that decides this coin is worth 50328560921836 million billion trillion quadrillion $ ???????
  9. As much as I want to jump on the bandwagon of hating companies, I love hating companies for the sake of hating them just as much as the next guy. But I honestly don't see a problem here. They did an error and released it a little bit earlier than it was supposed to be released. And then they fixed their mistake.
  10. I love Remedy's games since I've played Max Payne 2. I've only played the first Max Payne after I've played the second one. But it pisses me off to see them complaining about their Quantum Break not being successful and thus they're going to focus on multiplayer. Quantum Break failed because it was a mediocre third person shooter that no one asked for. People wanted Alan Wake 2, including myself. Instead they got a poorly optimized game with mediocre shooting mechanics and for Remedy an incredibly sub-par story. Plus the game also costed more to make because they've integrated a completely pointless TV show in it that added nothing to the overall plot. It was just meaningless filler. Not to mention the actors that were in it probably were quite a good portion of the budget for the game. Not to mention that people at least at first had to deal with Win10's crappy Store to get it. In the end Remedy you reap what you sow. Now piss off.
  11. Linus. Luke may be on paper the one in charge, but Linus is the one that owns it.
  12. Why do you say that? What's the difference between the mATX one and Full ATX?
  13. At the risk of sounding like a prick. I wouldn't offer you more than 300$ US. The CPU is garbage. The SSD is just 32GB, the hard drives are never a good thing to get used, the psu and the video card are the only good parts of it.
  14. Because Linus did it. On the subject. Well at least AMD is good for something.
  15. A couple of months ago I was searching for a 750ti and I found where I live people asking the same price as a brand new 1050 and absolutely not wanting to go any lower. Some people don't understand that the older the hardware is, the more it depreciates, unless it's something unique, so they think asking for a price similar to what they paid years ago is ok. While others are just stupid.
  16. You know I've always wanted to ask you, are you THE JonnyGuru or someone who's using his name?
  17. So that number is meaningless by itself. Damn. Forgot to mention in my original post, that the monitor I was looking at is the LG 24MP58VQ-P. On LG's website it only says CIE1931 72% without going into details.
  18. Just like the title says. What is that mean in sRGB? I'm looking at a monitor and I can only find the CIE1931, but I have no idea what that would convert to sRGB. Is it 60% or is it 80% or higher or maybe even lower than the 99% sRGB that most use. So does anyone know?
  19. As much as I want to go in the conspiracy territory, the truth is most people won't notice a difference at all when applying the fix. Yes, you can benchmark it and see that you've lost a bit of performance, but it's not like you'll would've noticed that performance loss if you didn't knew about it. Everyone is just freaking out over that first assessment that you will instantly notice a decrease of performance up to 30% or higher, switch in some case is true, but for the most part it's not. The loss is just in some specific operations. So it's not that somehow Intel magically found out about this problem just right now when they're going to release a new series of processors later on this year. Besides, the most obvious proof of this is that it's not limited to Intel processors.
