$330+drives, and that's with a small case. If you choose an OS like FreeNAS, then you can run the OS off of a pair of mirror'd flash drives.

I was hosting Plex server on my PC, and it was using around 40% of my i5 3350p CPU.
Not sure if you can find anything like that in prebuild NAS devices.

LIke @djdwosk97 said, you might want to look into build your own NAS. Just get some half decent hardware, add as many HDD drives as you can, and install plex server. Then you also need to do some adjustments for your router, so you can stream outside of your home network aswell.
But you would need pretty decent internet connection for that.
I had no problems with that since I have gigabit ethernet at home, and streaming localy wasn't any issue at all. But streaming outside of my network ... well it was kinda bad with 20Mbps uplink. Around 2MB/s acctually upload speed. Simply not enough for any decent quality.

Have a look at XPenology, it's the same software that is on Synology NAS's which is very good. XPenology and FreeNAS have their own pros and cons so I'd suggest trying them both if going a build your own NAS.

My gut feeling is XPenology might be a slightly better pick for this as it's a bit more user friendly when it comes to expanding the system with more disks and it also has native support for Plex Media Server. http://xpenology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4995 (find the most up to date download link ofc).

If you like racing games, I do recommend The Crew. It's a fun open world game, with plenty of events and stuff to do. It's an RPG in the sense of doing challenges to get better parts for your car.

If you enjoy co-op gameplay, with coordinated gameplay, I recommend Ghost Recon: Wildlands. I have played the beta, and it's a ton of fun with friends.

If you enjoy co-op competitive; something like Playerunknown's Battlegrounds will fit the bill. It's a "Battle Royale" type game, and you can team up with up to 3 friends to scavenge, kill, and survive as the last remaining team. It's what I've been playing for the past week or so, and I've already plunged over 20-30 hours into it.

If you enjoy survival games such as Ark, I would personally recommend either Rust or Conan Exiles. I personally found no joy in playing Ark, but that might differ for you. This is a very subjective topic.

If you enjoy singleplayer, I would recommend The Witcher 3. You can plunge countless hours into it and still find new things as you play the game.

I hope I covered some games that are similar to the games you mentioned.
Good luck, and let us know what you choose!

Thank you both for your comments.
I have tested, and it makes near to no difference to take the side panel off.
Airflow seems to be good in that case.
I wasn't aware most reviews used open bench tests for their reviews, so I suppose these temperatures are fairly normal.
I haven't been able to properly test the card's performance (I mostly play mid-tier games like Playerunknown's battlegrounds, h1z1 kotk, CS:GO, LoL), but I'll give it a shot using The Division.
So far it doesn't seem like much of an improvement over my old R9 280X, but it might just be that I'm not testing it properly.

Try removing the side panel and check your temps again.

Higher gpu load will lead to a higher gpu temperature (compared to idle where there is little to no load) but it is not the same.

To check if you are using full gpu power aka if the game is bottlenecking by being unoptimised or if the cpu is bottlenecking you are looking at gpu usage.

Look up techquickie on youtube I am sure they have something about this (Linus and other people explaining tech stuff under 5-6 minutes).

zPanic got a reaction from ChuckMaurice in Is 144Hz worth it for casual gaming?
    What's your budget for each?
Maybe my setup could provide some reference.
I play games casually, with friends.
I mostly play games like CS:GO, BF1, a couple of racing games, H1Z1, PUBG, Overwatch, Diablo 3, etc.

Monitors: 2x Asus 27 inch VS278H (no Freesync/Gsync, 60Hz, no IPS afaik) - €209 each GPU: Very recently upgraded to a Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB - €280 CPU: i7 6700k with 16GB HyperX DDR4 RAM. - €~350 With my setup I can play any of my games steadily above 60FPS.
    Great for casual gaming.
I don't see the need for 144Hz myself since I just game casually.
Spend more on getting your GPU + CPU right and sacrifice some budget on a monitor.

G502 hands down. Has internal memory so you can set up a profile for it on one PC, and use it on any other PC without having to install Logitech's software on the other PC's.
Customizable buttons, and truly smooth when it comes to polling rate.

    1. check the top of the graphics card. you can see what power connector(s) it's connected to. The site of Sapphire suggest it to be 1 8 pin and 1 6 pin. Since 1060s use either a 6 pin or an 8 pin depending on the manufacturer of the card, you certainly got the cable to power the card.

    2. This question depends on your budget. If you can afford the 1070, get one. It will handle games for 3 years at high settings at the very least. Either versions of the 1060 can't promise that. Since you are upgrading from a more-than-usable card, it's better to get something that is expensive, but is still affordable and will withstand games coming out in the future for years.
If you don't have that budget and don't want to wait for a 1070 (I see no reason for that), get a rx 470 4gb. It carries the greatest value of graphics card with this level of performance.

    3. Check your power supply. Powering power-thirsty old AMD products for so long and being part of a used machine means a good check is necessary. If it is something highly rated in this list, then go on. If not or you see a lot of dust inside, replace it before it does something bad.
