  1. Maxout TDP is 95W. take a 20% security marging ... et voila. should be around 77 degs

Just got a call from tesla, april 3rd is my fir…

    Congrats !!!
  3. real easy : http://www.completepowerelectronics.com/comparison-online-offline-ups/ and : http://www.backuphowto.info/how-calculate-ups-battery-backup
  4. Do standard troubleshooting: - disconnect all, remove GPU, see if it post !!! - same, but with GPU. - same with keyb .... Try to isolate the faulty part. If nothing works, etheit CPU or chipset or mobo died. good luck
  5. talking about motherboard bios !!! better go RMA that kill your new hardware joking around !!!
  6. When buying a laptop, the most important thing for me is SERVICES and WARANTY !!! The second important thing is DURABILITY . All others stuff are purely cosmetic's and marketing's.
  7. Seriously, i will made my choice taking in consideration my actual cpu/chipset ...
  8. did you install drivers for the new nic ?? Also, deseable the old one in the bios setting. This sound more and more as a chipset failure.
  9. If a physical object is messing with you, try to remove it. If the connector is clear, that's mean the line, or an element of the line as capacitor or other stuff is dead. If you are skilled, try to get schematics and go soldering and fixing the hardware. Really difficult !!! - OR - Just buy a PCI NIC and added it to your system. Anyway, this could be the first sign of a chipset/motherboard failure, so start to make regular backup in case your system die quickly.
  10. Having since 2011 a master cooler v10 ... like it.
  11. If you have a black american express, this question is non-sense. Otherwise i will say : budget !
  12. The size of the UPS is a multi factor problem !! - First, offline or online ?? - and then, what do you want as a result: only a short protection or being able to work for hours if storms is striking ... " there is a close box with a cat inside" Can you tell me if the cat is alive ?
  13. Yes, AIO are not the top end for water cooling principally due to: - low rpm for the pump. - very short water (liquid) circuit. - small amount of liquid. ( the more the better ) A real water-cooled system is around more than a liter of liquid ... an AIO is more like 40Cl...
  14. Raid0 + array deleted = REINSTALL your system. No others ways as you don't know witch disk is failing. During reinstall, do a full partition / disk format for BOTH disk.
  15. just remember something about AIO. The temp cycle is different from an air cooled system. Idle temps when system start will be lower than air cooled system: normal. Normal temps will "seems" to be lower than air cooled system: normal too. But only for a time. The temps will take up to 30 mns to stabilize. Then, after the system goes back to idle, the temps level will NOT decrease immediately. It will take time to go back to the initial idle temp. Why this ?? PHYSICS !!! The specific heat capacity is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of a unit of mass of a given substance by one degree. I wont give to much calculus here, but most of the air cooled system are made in copper, and of course, AIO system are filled with some kind of alcohol-water mix. To make it short, Copper is able to absorb 0.4 Joules of heat energy, when water is around 4.2 joules. This means the temp cycle for cooper is fast !!! And slow for the water ... At full charge, assuming the pump works correctly the amount of heat exchange will be almost the same as air cooled system. The temp delta is not so important. In order to have a real difference, radiator needs to be large !!! The more, the better !!! That's why actually, you see 280 radiator replacing 240 radiator in high ends AIO systems.
  16. In france, Orange is selling FTTC/GPON contract base on speed from 1Gb/s to 10Gb/s (the average is 500/500). The other major ISP FREE, is selling the almost the same contracts but the average is 1Gb/s // 1Gb/s over a FTTH connection. The other ISP are simply squatting Orange network and reselling their own shit. Furthermore, depending on the date the installation was done, the physical link for oranges can move from a real 1Gb/s to 1To/s (1000 Gb/s). FREE is using a next gen fiber capable of 1600 Gb/s The most important components in fact are : - the optic node ( off the shelves (orange/alcatel) or specific (free/free) ... - your homebox and the sfp connector ( Orange/Huwai and FREE/FREE)... enjoy
  17. What sort of fiber ?? FTTH,: fiber to the home: in that case, if the fiber is 10Gbs, you could have it all for you depending on contracts. FTTLa: fiber to the last amplifer, depending on the last amplifer (xdsl, coax, fiber ) FTTB: ... to the building, depending on final connexion ... GPON or not ... FTTC: ... to the cabinet, and then ... ??? only your isp can clearly answer.
  18. Purchase over a 1080 ... NO. This is a cash grab of course. Even over 970-980 ...
