  1. Meshify 2 Compact? Torrent is a good option, but I prefer a bottom power supply.
  2. Fractal just showed their Terra case, looks interesting. Other ones that seem popular are Dan A4, Meshlicious, Coolermaster NR200. 4090FE is the smallest 4090, so good idea to go with that. 13900KS is not a good idea IMO, go for 13900K or 13700K and undervolt.
  3. This situation is ridiculous if I understand correctly. Asus pays for shipping back, motherboard is not sent in original packaging but seems protected adequately. That's a thick PCB, no way it gets damaged like that from normal handling. So it either got damaged in shipping or Asus dropped it when they unpackaged it. They said they have a video of the unboxing. Did they show it to you? Also FedEx saying it couldn't be damaged in shipping because the receiver says the box looks ok is BS. You can drop a box from 20 feet and it'll look ok if it falls flat.
  4. 2000$ GPU bundled with 1$ power adapters, what could go wrong? Soldering multiple cables together in that small connector is stupid. The PSU cables by Corsair, Seasonic, etc. are much better than the nVidia adapter. The 12VHPWR connector is not great, but using good cables and not maxing it out to 600W for 2fps more would also help.
  5. So DLSS 2 is upsampling and DLSS 3 is frame interpolation. I had this 10 years ago, playing at lower resolutions on a "120Hz MotionFlow" TV. What's next? Back to black and white! Colors are barely noticeable anyways, and you get 4X the FPS. Seriously nVidia, make the hardware better instead of cutting corners.
  6. Good for next gen video card prices and availability. Gaming might be useless, but not as useless as mining!
  7. Was hoping for PCIE 5.0 but I guess it took too much power for this gen. My system can only do 4.0 for the M.2 anyways. I'll upgrade my 970 Evo to this when I need more capacity.
  8. So over 15 Million USD. Inflation is bad in Russia these days.
  9. SP 72 is low, so could be a weak CPU memory controller. Only way to tell is to try another (better) CPU. Also, Z690 Hero BIOS 1403 has problems with ram stability, I'd go back to 1304. And XMP2 is what you want to run to have ram manufacturer's settings. The Asus QVL list for Z690 Hero shows memory "Supported Speed" up to 6000MHz for G,Skill with Samsung chips and up to 6400Mhz for other brands with SK Hynix chips. They should replace the board if it can't do that. But I'd try another CPU before blaming the board.
  10. What SP rating is your CPU in the Asus BIOS? It could be your motherboard. Make sure your ram is on the QVL list for the Z690 Hero and ask Asus for a replacement if it doesn't work.
  11. I haven't seen it in person, but the Studio Display is twice the price because it's 5K instead of 4K and it's made by Apple. I have used a 5K iMac and have 4 LG 4K 27" monitors, the difference in PPI at this size isn't very noticeable. The Dell is 98% DCI-P3 while I think Apple is 100%? Maybe that's important. If not, I'd get the Dell.
  12. That's only true for longer cables. (transceivers...) The short ones under 80cm are just USB-C cables tested for 40gbps.
  13. Got a TUF 3080 10GB from Canada Computers for 1099$ today. Cheapest 3080 I've seen since launch here. Not too bad and I can sell my 1660Ti for the same amount I paid in 2019 LOL.
  14. 27GN950 has been updated to 27GP950 with HDMI 2.1 support.
