  1. Of course, 2010 was a bad season. Diseased crops, cold weather and low yields. Didnt have the choice to be picky at that time. Anywho, figured people posted their watches so I'd post one of mine. Havent been here in a while, noticed there was watch talk and posted. Didnt think it would have such a polarizing response. Next time I'll take off the filters and post my modded Casio on a can of Bud so I dont look like an influencer poseur POS or whatever
  2. I mean, I guess the medical field is kind of like farming for youtube subs? Unless you're referring to somebody else
  3. Im a big fan of timepieces. I never leave the house without one. Although my bottles tend to get the most wrist time when I take pictures
  4. Watch parts are generally not universal in size. The reason why Vostoks work out that way is because they more or less only have 2 movements and cases that mostly differentiate via style currently. Even Seiko varies in size within the Seiko 5 line. That being said, thats a cool looking mod. The dial is a little busy for me but I like the lume.
  5. I prefer GMT Masters on an oyster anyway. Nice piece!
  6. Honestly whenever something has a bit of an integrated bracelet look, I always find them to look odd with anything else. I had my royal oak on a cheapo leather band and it looked kind of odd. That being said I love the AP bracelet but its a scratch magnet. I could scratch it by sneezing on it lol.
  7. Issues with hand setting arent really an accuracy thing
  8. Not a fan of that hour hand. Cool looking piece though.
  9. Aurebesh is the written language prevailent in most of the core worlds and outer rim. Huttese is Huttspeak but is what most people speak when underworld dealing (like spice etc...) so smugglers and people in that world are quite proficient at it. Basic is what "English" is in the SW universe. Okay Ill see myself out now LOL
  10. As opposed to the SW fans that can read Aurebesh and speak Huttese?
  11. Hands are interchangeable too. Used to mod quite a few Orients when I still wanted to see what the big deal was. Definitely found the same little niggles about the movements as you too. I would say the Orient movements IMO arent as good overall but are still useable/decent.
  12. I prefer Star Trek when I actually want something with more substance. DS9 and TNG hit in a way that Star Wars never did and probably will for me. Star Wars is fun, but after they de-canonized most of the expanded universe, they really killed the kid in me. The new trilogy being mega mediocre at best doesnt help. I did enjoy Mando though.

A traditional omelette is made in the French style. Jacques Pepin is probably your best bet if you want to get an idea how its prepared.

Sounds more like an American Omelette than a traditional Omelette.
  15. Might want to buy two. At least if one fails, it'll be cheaper than the repair.
  16. I dont change my phone often. Mind you I dont play a ton of mobile games so it doesnt really hit me as much as it might others
  17. Well the G10 is pretty close and if it matters to you actually was used by military forces and isnt an homage. Hamilton has the khaki field too. The Quartz model runs around your budget new and has the history to back it up as well.
  18. The Breitling grand complication is super nice too. Disappointed Tudor went with a gold case for the hulk. Wouldve grabbed one in steel. The other 58s were kind of boring. Not a fan of the meteorite dial Daytona and Jubilee Skydweller from Rolex tbh
  19. Ordering too much food and then tossing it out cause I don't want to eat reheated leftovers Also probably the fact that I'm debating spending another 5 large on a watch after dropping over 20k on one last month.
  20. Neither for sure. We have better local fast food burrito joints and honestly, Popeyes does a better chicken sandwich than Bigot-Tod-Ay
  21. Not sure if it's too late but here's mine: First up is a diver/GADA watch. I went with the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 53: It's a classic swiss diver with all the horological weight you'd have out of a Submariner or Fifty Fathoms without the outrageous price tag. I'm a big fan of skin divers and these guys offer loads of options. USD 1093 Next up is something for a dressier occasion. I'm a big fan of tank style cases and since most people don't wear a dress watch as a daily, I went for something with a quartz movement but still has a bit of class. It's a Hamilton Ardmore Classic: Nice, vintage style piece. Small enough to wear under a suit but still wears bigger than it seems, interesting dial design and also has a sub-second complication which is nifty (and might bug people less if you don't like jumping seconds). USD 600 Next up is a mechanical chronograph. There are tons of companies that do different case sizes, styles etc... but I went with the classic Seagull/HKED 1963: It's a fully mechanical chronograph based on and made with the original Venus 175 tooling machines. Allegedly used by the Chinese army as a pilots watch. Swan neck regulated, column wheel traditional chronograph that works wonders. Really pretty with an open case back. Comes in a traditional 36-38mm case size or a bigger 40mm one from companies like EMG. USD 280 For the forth piece, I went for something a little off piste. It's not complications that everybody will use but considering the price and bang for you buck, it's a solid piece. The Glycine Airman GMT: This piece features a GMT complication on top of being a 24h watch. Mostly useful for pilots to keep track of multiple timezones and AM/PM but still nifty for an automatic piece under 1k USD. Comes in various sizes and styles. USD 830 And for the final piece, something you could use as a daily but still look classy while doing it. The Timex Marlin Automatic Day/Date: It's a revival of Timex's handcranker from the 60s but with an updated movement featuring automatic winding and a day/date complication. Comes in sizes ranging from 34mm to 40mm and in many different dial colors. A super strap monster too since it looks good on straps, natos or even mesh bracelets if that's your thing. USD 229 Total USD 3032 A little over 3k USD but I would consider it quite a sweet 5 watch collection. Lots of different styles, complication and history behind each piece and you're doing it whilst looking pretty fly IMO. EDIT: LOL totally didn't read the post right before mine, but enjoy the choices anyway.
