Really bad luck that your sons GPU died, it's a situation we are all dreading at the mo. As a brit we are even less happy with Queue cutting under normal circumstances, I just don't see how we could guarantee that any of the cards LMG are getting would be heading to people with pre orders from months ago and not those who are just abusing the situation.  It is Manufacturers responsibility to fulfil orders and it's pretty crappy they aren't doing it.

 
Well technically they are customers but I doubt they get much sympathy round here. They are profiteering from a perverse use of a GPU to further a crazy market in imaginary currency which as far as I can tell are only used by drug dealers, credit thieves and paedophiles.

The difference between 16x and 8x is so small you would see hardly any performance difference at all.

Just had the luxury of buying Two of these bad boys direct from Nvidia. Can't wait to get home from deployment! This wait is killing me!

Digital River makes a lot of sense. Nvidia could have changed vendors though.

Man I can´t wait to get my hands on the Titan X and R9 390X! I want to spend a lot of time in the lab to mod the perfect BIOS, this time again with performance water cooling .

Hoping my 1000 watt can crank this and my 5820k alil before I max out.

Not going to happen here I am playing on an Asus 4K monitor now but I will sell that as soon as the new RoG Swift 4K is available. This is a 4K 60Hz with G-Sync and IPS display!! Whatever the price of that baby will be... it´ll be mine .

The way I see this it will be worth it for people that play in 4K. That a single Titan X is in 4K almost as fast as a GTX980 2way SLI and R9 290X CF is remarkable. 2 of these cards will enable for the first time 4K Ultra gaming. And this is what I am personally looking for and wanted. Like I´ve written before. I didn´t buy and build my X99 machines for e-peen. I build them because I am an enthusiast and that enjoys the best hardware on the market. That´s why I will buy AMD´s R9 390X in CF as well.
How everybody handles this, is a matter of personal taste. For me personally the 2way is and was always the best way to go since CF and SLI got rid of most of their issues like MS. And with stuff like G-Sync and Freesync the tearing is history, scaling is very good with 2 cards and for most games are profiles available. BUT exactly here will the Titan X and R9 390X beat everything else by far on the market! Because playing a game that doesn NOT feature a profile will not be an issue anymore.
 
EDIT: unless you buy these cards for 4K or professional stuff you waste your money. And hell yes I want a Titan because I god damn can!

Quite easy really just buy the same diameter (and wall thickness) as you would acrylic and have your De- buring tool handy for the proper fit and seal. Nvidia actually posted a great copper tube water cooled mod on YouTube showcasing it. And some fittings even say for use with acrylic or copper tubes.
