smokeyvandenberg reacted to R3ep3r in Dual monitors not working
It is a bit weird. 1000 series from nVidia surely DO NOT allow any adapter to convert digital signal to analog signal. Because I've tried different methods to connect my old VGA monitor to it and it didn't work at all.
It might be the same problem here. Or maybe your adapter is not that good.

HDMI to VGA converters seem to be a pretty big pain in the ass, and I think there's something about 10 series cards not being able to do analog video signals anymore. Not sure on that one though.

There is your problem. HDMI does not usually carry an analog signal with it. You will need an active adapter to make that happen. Better yet get a DP to VGA active adapter just to be sure. This will solve your problem.

Did you look at Caselabs? that's where his case came from so you should be able to find most of the case stuff there if it hasn't been discontinued.

smokeyvandenberg reacted to Morgan MLGman in Max voltage on i7 5820k?
Well, it's a "hit or miss" to be fair, every CPU is different, every motherboard is different and one 4690K can do 4,7GHz at 1,3V and one 4690K can do 4,7GHz at 1,5V or not at all... You need to try a desired overclock accordingly to your cooler and motherboard, judging by your signature both of those are great in your case so I'd try to run 4,7GHz at 1,35V, if the PC boots without any issues I'd stresstest it and if it's stable - lower the voltage and do the same all over again. If it doesn't boot then increase the voltage until it does (provided it's below 1,45V threshold, optimally under 1,4V) If the voltage needed for 4,7GHz is too high, lower the overclock as your CPU just won't be able to do 4,7 and repeat those steps.
Remember to monitor your temperatures and don't let them exceed 85 degrees if you want a 24/7 OC, it shouldn't exceed that temperature.
Hope this explained it more or less.

smokeyvandenberg reacted to Fetzie in Dedicated Physics card?
Dedicated PhysX cards at best don't change anything (you don't really see much better effects), at worst you get lower performance (because the slower card bottlenecks the primary display adapter).
Either keep the card as a backup / for a different PC, or sell it IMO.

smokeyvandenberg got a reaction from stealth80 in M.2 setup process
Hay thanks this helped alot I got it working. I would seem that there is an issue with windows 7 for compatibility. I installed Windows 10 after following your steps and it's running perfectly ?
