Discord is open and run for anyone to use. Personally I have a home server that I set up to run a VM with teamspeak for me and my friends, but if I didn't have the hardware at my disposal discord would be my go to.

its definitely a budget mother board. however it should easily handle the 3200g and most likely would be fine with a non oc'd 3600. I also mentioned upgrading to the pro4 version of the same mobo, however i was trying to keep under the budget he originally posted.

As you wanted to take upgrade ability into account I have made a few changes. Link is still broken. From what you have given in your post 2x4 is technically better as it would fully use the dual channel memory bandwidth. However, you want to easily upgrade in the future adding a second 8gb dimm would be easier. Also ryzen tends to over clock better running on 2 dimms over 4, which is what you would end up with in the future trying to upgrade to 16gb ram (4x4). The stock cooler should be more than enough for the 2200g at stock settings, and may work with minimal overclocking.

If you are getting an RTX 2080 ti you should be looking at 1440p , ultra wide or 4k high refresh rate monitors. Like @SenKa said a 1000 watt psu should be thrown in for good measure and to give head room for overclocking. Finally as it is make-a-wish night as well shoot for the sky and ask for a couple a 4tb samsung ssds for data storage instead of the hard drives.

Some boards. Depending on the traces and the quality of the PCB they have been able to transmit PCIe 4 signals to the top x16 slot. However i believe that AMD is removing this as a possibility in one of the next micro coded updates.

Like @brwainer said that interference is really more of a concern then people try running high and low voltage parallel for a significant run. ya that looks close enough to the 24 pin connector that I would bet that at a minimum the mobo and psu are dead.

In the bios you should be able to go to the oc tab and adjust the memory speed. Instead of just selecting the stock xmp profile set the memory speed to say 3200mhz. If you haven't done so already reseat your ram too. And finally not judging but review your mobo manual and make sure that you have installed the ram in the correct slots

you could get new non rgb fans for the rad and then use the rgb fans as exhaust on the back and top of the case

Have you tried setting the ram to a slower speed to see if its a ryzen ram issue?

Are you going to have both your CPU and GPU in the loop? How many rads and how large are you planning on running?

I see two upgrade paths, with their own positives and negatives. Intel i7 9700k or i9 9900k + these would give you more cores and or threads than you currently have or would get from the 8700k + best curent ipc leading to the best gaming experience + iGPU can be used to offload stream rendering - most expensive consumer chips and motherboards - no guarantee of future compatibility or ability to upgrade - will require better cooling AMD r7 2700 with potential for upgrade to 3000 series in the next 6 months + similar core and thread count to new intel chips + less expensive option + upgrade path guaranteed on the am4 platform for at least one more year - reselling/replacing cpu in 6 months if you decide to upgrade - currently lower ipc than intel and only one tech demo from AMD showing improved ipc - will need to be more selective in ram choice (possibly more expensive than what could be used in an intel build) honestly it comes down to a personal preference and willingness to base you current purchase on potential future upgrade vs wanting the best performance money can buy today.

the question shouldn't be can it, but should you. You are paying a premium for a K series CPU and will not be able to benefit from those premiums without a z series mobo. Also like @Constantin stated the 2070 would be the better pairing if you can fit it in your budget.

As others have said, your current drives wouldn't work in raid to begin with. Also as someone who ran raid 0 hdds for several years i would recommend against it. running off your motherboards raid controller will increase boot times as the raid has to initialize. Also the risk associated with it are more than most people are willing to accept, even if its just game files. ( I lost a drive once and even though i just had games on it i had to re download over 500 gb of games :/). TLDR: RAID isn't worth it in a desktop.

I would try another header just to see if its an issue with a PWM on that specific header.

My buddy has that desk! He has a second monitor mounted on an arm off the top shelf above him to use as a second screen.

I personally prefer to use the CPU 1 fan header for my pump control. But that is not your question... You should be able to set a fan profile in your bios for that specific fan header to control your pump speed.

You should be able to do this with one PFSense box with a quad NIC. PFSense allows you to setup individual lans off the same router and isolate them from each other.

How much are the respective motherboards going to cost? In my experience server grade motherboards are significantly more expensive. Why wouldn't you consider newer consumer grade parts (new or used)?

Have you installed Samsung ssd driver? Windows baked in driver isn't the greatest for these performance drives.

I would recommend not vertically mounting the gpu. Gamersnexus has done multiple reviews and it almost always chokes the gpu air supply leading to higher temps and worse performance.

Different hinge designs have different strengths and weaknesses. My uneducated assumption is that it most likely comes down to two factors, cost and strength.
