  1. My local district uses chrome books too. And I wish I could just provide them with a laptop that was actually useable. Although our district lets the kids keep them if you pay the tech fee for 4 years. My oldest just got through her first one.
  2. Allow me to put my tin foil hat on for a moment. Given California’s very staunch anti-2A stance, this was done on purpose to give access to anti gun groups but with an easy way to cover it up. back to reality. This is really bad and I don’t see any calls for whoever discovered the issue to be prosecuted like in Missouri. At least not yet I suppose.
  3. I think they are seeing some writing on the wall in terms of possible legislative action. It’s better to get ahead of this now than wait for the courts to get involved. And especially with the FTC having said new laws weren’t really necessary for right to repair, just actual enforcement.
  4. I actually think ATMs work this way. I had one on a college campus that would refuse to accept the correct pin because the camera was blocked by my hand. It was by accident at first but then on purpose to see. Once I moved my hand the same pin magically worked just fine.
  5. While I like and enjoy my current Apple Watch. That new potential design looks good to me.
  6. I want personal devices not so much organizations. Like the raunchy sexting photos sent between them and their spouses or mistresses. Messages about back door dealings. Expose everything!
  7. Look...the only way we get this to stop is for it to actually go through. And then have their personal devices compromised directly as a result of it and all their dirty dealings and secrets openly published. Then point to their legislation and show them how they fundamentally Allowed it to happen to themselves. At that point they either repeal the law. Or they never have privacy again and are forever under public scrutiny
  8. Exactly right here. I can work with digital downloads. Long as I get the file to store and back up. If I lose the file then that’s on me. Such as they can be ripped to digital versions?
  9. A lot of time it’s “broken” is likely for maintenance. Especially if you go there the same day of the week and roughly the same time. Our machine had two maintenance cycles. Daily was done automatically at 2am. And weekly tear down and deep clean I did on Thursday at 9pm.
  10. I have worked McDonald’s. And I was one of the few at my McDonald’s who knew how to tear it down. Clean it. Sanitize it. And reassemble. I still got calls from crew for almost a year after I quit asking for help to put it back together. It would take me 2 hours minimum every Thursday starting around 9pm to do the weekly maintenance. And then I would have to spot check the syrup lines to ensure shake calibration was correct. I also handled the McCafé machines...let’s just say you don’t ever want to see the drain for those two machines
  11. This actually is infuriating. I have Minecraft accounts for all 3 of my kids. And now I have to go make all three new accounts to link to. Wtf
  12. I had that issue when I first put my 3900x into my system. Took cooler off, remounted and problem went away luckily. And I only use a 120mm AIO
  13. Part of me thinks they are blaming yields to make investors...content with the reduction. But I wouldn’t be surprised to find out it was because they expect lower demand given the pandemic
