  1. For just the RAM upgrade no. As a whole platform upgrade depends on how you use your system, but DDR4 is not the considering factor for an upgrade.
  2. Pretty much, nvidia worked on neutering these cards for mining only, so they wouldn't cut into gamer sales. You can always try using some sort of resistors in line to the fans like Noctua sells for their products.
  3. DDR3 -> DDR4 requires new motherboard and processor, its part of a platform upgrade not an individual upgrade
  4. nvidia on purpose prevents BIOS mods on all their cards from the past several years.
  5. Then either get a display port to whatever adapter (might need to be an active one as you already have 2 TMDS streams), or plug it into the motherboard, and go into the BIOS and enable the intergrated GPU. The monitor running off the motherboard will have barely any 3d performance so if you want to game on it, it isnt going to happen.
  6. Are you using SLI or no? If you have onboard graphics you can plug into that, you will need to enable in BIOS.
  7. If your GPU's are in SLI you can only output video to the master card.
  8. https://www.engadget.com/2018/11/06/microsofts-bitlocker-compromised-by-bad-ssd-encryption/ At least there is firmware patches now, but I would advise against SED's and use good old fashioned encryption, besides any modern CPU has AES-NI which wont give you a performance hit.
  9. Gamers nexus just did a video on this with the results its worth a watch
  10. Connecting to the motherboard wont do anything on a 2600, he would get no display
  11. Whats CPU usage when GPU drops to 0? Battlefield is known to be heavier on CPU esp in multiplayer.
  12. Look at the used market, like ebay, you wont find really anything new worth any upgrade, even a GT 1030 is out of budget. Maybe a used 750 or 750 ti but I am not familiar with used prices
  13. You would have a better experience with a stronger GPU and 60Hz panel. 144Hz is very nice it isn't necessary depending on if you play competitively or not.
  14. The motherboard doesnt matter, and without knowing what model GPU you are looking at we cant really help.
  15. Look at the measurements for the specific GPU you want and compare them with the case measurements they should be available online
  16. While I dont have that cooler, there should be a metal piece that graps onto the loose tab on the circular piece that you would screw into place through the hole

  18. that bracket looks to go onto the AM4 mounting bracket (like the yellow stuff in the picture here. https://www.amazon.com/PartsCollection-Retention-Bracket-Cooling-Mounting/dp/B07C2BXDQM
  19. If it is overclocked, remove the OC it always the first troubleshooting step.
  20. The default storage location unless you changed it, which i believe is in your user appdata folder
