    i3 2100 vs q6600

OEM boards can be finicky, I'm not in a habit of recommending them. You are correct, though.

    i3 2100 vs q6600

Sandy Bridge also has the benefit of DDR3, working 775 boards that support DDR3 are rare and expensive.
  3. That's a solid combo, I would say.

    i9-9900k vs new AMD CPU's

    We don't know yet.

Best 2 Slot Video Card For $500 or Less?

Windforce cards are still pretty decent as far as I know.
  6. Newegg shows similar-ish prices: https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=2.5"+PATA+SSD I could probably get lower prices on Ebay, though.
  7. That's pretty dope. I wonder how much those go for...
  8. I'd love a higher end older laptop to screw around with, honestly. That'd be kind of fun.
  9. I actually have an XP-era Dell laptop and an XP install disk. All I'm missing now is the HDD and viruses...
  10. Hol up, lemme go source a mobile IDE drive and 12 viruses.... Best Buy employee: *slaps laptop lid* "This bad boy can sell for more than 2 million USD"
  11. Amazon must remember that one status update I posted about graphics cards....

Amazon must remember all the status update I post about dick jokes...

Seriously. Don't look at my Amazon suggestions. Or my browsing history.

I won't look, I promise. Can you look for me tho? Maybe send some screenshots while you're at it?

Nah, I want to have at least a chance of entering a good college.

    1660ti cpu

That's a good choice. I'd wait on Zen 2 first, unless you need the PC really soon.
  13. Gutted the G5's power supply, needed its shell.

Now I'm trying to see if I can find some way to mount drives and a PSU in it. Might have to do some more cutting :/

You can’t cable manage a G5. It just doesn’t work

Gonna come back and throw this in your face when I've cable managed my G5...

One could even argue that it had better cable management before you modified it xD

Oh yes, before the mod there were plenty of ways that Apple managed the cables such as custom length or routing things behind other things. Kinda doesn't work when you gut 90% of what was inside the case.

  15. Motherboard tray is installed in G5 case, waiting on the JB Weld to cure.

Will probably mess with mounting drives and a power supply tomorrow, and then see about JB welding anything I need there.

@CUDAcores89 currently, I'm focusing on making parts fit.

Once I get that out of the way, I can start to source parts
