  1. I got a Windows 7 license and some games from Kinguin just fine. They make sure all their sellers are verified and ensure you're not giving money to criminals. Kinguin is great, but G2A is basically the same thing and sometimes cheaper.
  2. Your laptop probably can't support outputs higher than 1080. Most don't.
  3. Some features through your BIOS might be what's turning it back on. As for it taking forever to turn off, could be anything from a bad OS to a dead or dying hard drive or any other sort of hardware or software fault. And you are hitting Shut Down, right? Not Hibernate or Sleep? Had to ask.
  4. Says the input is through micro-usb which is a bit odd, and I don't want to use up more of my front-panel USB connections. I just want 3.5mm input and 3.5mm output. But I'll bookmark it for now. It's certainly an obtainable price. I don't get why any and all amps are so f*cking expensive for no reason. All it does is give a bit more juice to headphones.
  5. You have one and it's good? I don't want to get something that isn't better, or has any hissing or interference.
  6. I just spent all night trying to make Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic work. You have my sympathies. Sometimes your (newer) equipment just plain won't work with old games, even in a VM or emulator. Good luck though.
  7. tl;dr my new desktop doesn't give enough power to my headphones (multiple pairs) like my laptop used to, and everything has less impact overall. It sounds like they're plugged into a phone it's so... lifeless. I've tweaked with 1st and 3rd part equalizers and enhancements, and tried them in every sound port—even the audio pass-through in my monitor, but apparently my 8 year old laptop has a better built-in amp than my flashy new desktop I'm looking for basically the cheapest amp that would get the job done. That would give my music the richness it had before. Just something to plug into a headphone port, then plug my headphones into that. Any cheap suggestions? I don't need some crazy setup, just enough to get the job done. EDIT: I would get a cheapo sound card, but my MIcro-ATX build only had 2 slots, and my GPU takes up both. I already thought of that.
  8. I did a clone with Macrium Reflect from my laptop's HDD to a new desktop SSD and it worked perfectly. Made my desktop's wallpapers, settings, installed programs, etc., all show up like normal.
  9. It's just frozen at the desktop or in a program and totally unresponsive? Well, in those cases sometimes the only thing to do is hold the power button for 10~ seconds to force it off. It that doesn't work, then pull the battery. You can troubleshoot it when you get it booted again.
  10. This really wasn't as urgent as you made it out to be. Calm your tits.
  11. Erm, it's not something you really do on a website. Try Firemark on Steam, or the Heaven benchmark utility.
  12. Sometimes it just can't be helped in all honesty. I've done everything I can to my own system, and my CPU fan always reads out as 638k RPM, which would be pretty damn ludicrous
  13. I've been tearing my hair out at not being able to find a Bluetooth peripheral driver for Windows 7 64bit. I got the dongle driver and it installed just fine, picks up my headphones just fine (Velodyne Bluetooth headphones, no driver) but I just keep getting these, I've tried every driver I could find through a search engine and none did a thing. I know there HAS to be a solution, something I'm not finding on my own. Please help me you guys, I don't want my first pair of wireless headphones to be useless. Edit: It's not a laptop, so Windows Mobility Center doesn't work. Already tried it for shits and giggles.
  14. If you even can, it wouldn't be easy. And I very much doubt the screen can handle more than 60fps, so it'd end up tearing and having the opposite effect of looking worse.
  15. Limewir—oh wait. I just use Frostwire really. Gets the job done fast enough, lets me use any torrent I find even though Frostwire's search function is an absolute joke.
  16. You might've permanently damaged a part of your CPU/motherboard by excessive overclocking heat.
  17. Why wouldn't they? It's not like the Blues are racist against the Blacks. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
  18. Is it with all games/applications or only certain ones?
  19. It's just the games. I've got an RX 480 8gb and I've had a title or two do that. Fret not.
  20. Well, you can go extreme-cheap and ugly, even DIY it, but then you open up the risk of faults and/or leaks. And is that worth all of your computer components? I'm not saying go expensive, not at all, just don't go too cheap in the pursuit of liquid cooling.
  21. Putting "value" in the product name is like putting flame stickers on a car to make it go faster. The "value" is saying you paid $200 for a case so you can look like a baller. Just don't let anybody actually, y'know, see the case.
