That looks interesting. I have once disassembled a laptop that obviously was used by a heavy smoker before, it was quite some work to get rid of that sticky residue and the smell. But it was still worth it, it was a Lenovo thinkpad witha 2nd gen i5 and 8GB of RAM for 30 Euros a few years ago. Isopropanol worked quite well to remove that residue.
A few months ago, I bought a nice used vacuum cleaner (Philips PowerPro Expert) on a marketplace for 40 Euros. I quickly noticed that it had a very strong smell of cat pee. I disassembled it, cleaned it thoroughly and bought new filters (for 20 Euros). I ended up with quite a nice vacuum cleaner for a total of 60 Euros.

7th generation consoles have much more interesting hardware. 8th and 9th Generation are basically PCs and have both almost the same SoC.
but the PlayStation 3 had a very interesting cpu architecture ( which is the reason why it’s still not easy to emulate ). Instead of just a simple 3core (PowerPC) design like the xbox 360 had, the PlayStation 3 had 1 main core and 7 acceleration cores. Very interesting

Man, I can't believe you got all that for free! Sounds like a fun project too. If I got my hands on a PS3 for free I'd definitely keep it rather than selling, but to each his own. Although I'm more of a 6th gen console guy, so maybe I'd sell it if only to buy a Dreamcast and complete my collection...

Aw man I didn't win! But that's okay! What's important is the amount of work units we got done!
This was my setup (And also Just Monika):
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GTX 1070ti
Also I had 2 laptops working behind me with their cpu's (One GPU had trouble folding while the other can't complete one in time so I just used the cpu's)
The one on the left had a i7-3740QM, and the other one on the right had a i7-3520M

Cling onto your past glories like all fallen kings!
But seriously, thank you for your dedication to the folding team!
