  1. For the record I'm pretty sure project hydra is a trademark owned by Razer... No but seriously though this does seem like a really cool build and I can't wait to see picture
  2. If it's just a simple minecraft server you could maybe set up some kind of network file sharing solution Edit: To be clear I meant file sharing on your network for personal use
  3. Ok so I am fairly new to linux coming from a similar experience to you. I just wanted to let you know that windows only game emulation has come a long way and is really pretty great now. Honestly almost all steam games work with steamplay unless its a uplay game. Downloading games also seems to occur much faster and more stably than on windows for some reason though this could be a personal issue
  4. Dang i was just their should have got that mobo cpu combo
  5. Wait but other than fan issue in test system was 980ti working?
  6. I dont believe so but if you want a case like that the corsair spec cases look pretty darn similar
  7. Wait in the tech system you tried was it working?
  8. Well im pretty sure its actually being produced by lian li thereby it probably actually has pretty good build quality. Personally im not to big of a fan of razer and would prefer a different case (you can get tempered glass cases with rgb for cheaper) but if thats what you like than go for it man
  9. Ok lets go through all the common case buzzwords Micro atx case-supports micro atx mobos (not atx), typically smaller than midtowers Midtower case-typically a bit bigger than micro atx case and almost always supports full size atx boards (atx formfactor is compatable in such a way that any case that supports atx can most likely support micro atx and mini itx. Fulltower case-These are cases bigger than midtowers that support up to either atx or eatx mobos
  10. Could just be not great silicon, cpu overclocking is really luck of the draw. Does it have adequite cooling or is it overheating?
  11. I have no experience with the mayflower but i love my schitt stack. It is a great headphone amp dac setup, plus it is fun to say. It is probably my best reccomendation i can give for a not insanely expensive dac for more clean sound at good volumes. Their are tube options but personally im a little against tube amps in modern setups, maybe would be good with a record player though.

    Help

Ok idk if this is write subforum for this post but whatever. My best guess would be that OBS is streaming/recording in 60hz so it is locking you to 60hz as a result. Could be wrong though not to familiar with OBS
  13. K840 then, or maybe refurbished k70, refurbished rgb strafe. In my humble opinion i would reccomend going used because quality keyboards can go used for cheap but will last forever. My daily driver for 3+ years has been a refurbished k70 and i have not had one led or keycap or switch break on me.
  14. I see nice used mechanical keyboard go on different websites pretty often. Places like this forums trade section or reddit would both be good places to look.
  15. mine get wet because i had recessed lighting that leaked (yes my light leaked water), wasnt plugged in but still prob killed the psu
  16. Whats the plan here? do they want to create more market competition lol
  17. Dont get ECC ram, get either a ryzen 1600 or 1400 depending on budget, with this get a b350/x370 chipset board, and also some ~3000Mhz ram
  18. I dont know why he would want to upgrade his motherboard
  19. what are you using for cpu cooler?
  20. i mean i would say just upgrade the cpu, mobo, and ram unless your having problems with your case or psu
  21. razer blade is much better for games, with its 1060 it can play just about any game you throw at it. Dell XPS 15 looks a lot less gamer-y though. If the gamer look isnt what your going for you could always get the razer blade and then put a dbrand skin on it, i think theirs a discount link for them somewhere on the forum that i can find if you want it
