Peteris got a reaction from GoodBytes in Windows 11 created a ghost user
I have a Microsoft account linked as well.
I'm also running Windows 11 Pro, in case that's the differing factor.

You are right, it was set up before upgrading to Windows 11. But even now it seems that the option is still there for me.
This seems to have solved it, thank you.

netplwiz doesn't have auto-login since late Windows 10. The option was removed.
So, I assume you used a program to do it via the registry (which still works) or via Microsoft System Internal Tool, AutoLogon, or was done before and you upgraded to Windows 11 (or later builds of Windows 10 and then Windows 11).
So let's check things are well done:
Open the registry editor (regedit) Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon Make sure that DefaultUserName is set to your account name, and has no space after the name or before the name. Open the command prompt, and type and execute: whoami /user This will show your account ID (SID)
Make sure it matches perfectly the filed value "utoLogonSID in the registry.
Make sure that DefaultDomainName matches the name of the computer.
If all is good, then make sure that:
The option "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up after an update" is turned off. This option is found under: Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options > Additional Settings Note: If you changed your password, auto login needs to be unset, and reset afterwards again.

That was the plan either way, but I might just wait a little longer than that. Thank you for the answers.

Peteris got a reaction from Anghammarad in Scroll wheel clicking issue.
Ah, I was hoping it'd be a software issue, oh well.
I was looking at local discounts recently, saw that you can get a G900 for 60 euros, might give that thing a swing.
Thanks.

Peteris reacted to jjohnthedon1 in 4790k to ryzen 1600 results
So I made the switch after my 4790k died
and I was kinda worried that it would be lacking in gaming
boy was I wrong
at 1440p 144hz with sli 980tis I am getting the exact same fps in gaming
but the amazing thing is it's so much smoother
a hell of a lot smoother
frame drops are none existent
camera movement is rediculasly smooth
100 percent not a placebo effect
absolutely atonashing
I can't explain it I though it couldn't get any better than the i7 for gaming but this beast has proven me wrong
curently running at 4ghz at 1.437v(1.414 under full load for some reason)
ram at 2933mhz cas15
thanks to a lot of help from @tom_w141
@App4that it smashes the 4790k out of the park
