Thermal paste on waterblock
Alexzz_ replied to DominicNikon's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
I would say that is about the right amount. -
Most likely a single loose connection, it probably turns on if it connects again by being shaken a bit.
-
Thats pretty much impossible to say until you get it and run some tests on it. However if the previous owner swapped the psu and the pc still booted itll probably be fine.

Can I upgrade my HP laptop AMD A6 5350M processor?
Alexzz_ replied to AnonymousV's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I have found a few sources saying it is technically compatible with the AMD A8-5550M but if its possible for an end user to upgrade to it is a different matter. Besides, the AMD A8-5550M is not all that powerful compared to any modern cpu. It might be wiser to just upgrade to a new laptop than to try and re use this old one. However if you are willing to spend a few bucks and try, they are available on ebay for around 20$(just make sure you buy one that has the pin grid array). You would probably also need to find the correct drivers to use the cpu. All i can say is best of luck. Can I upgrade my HP laptop AMD A6 5350M processor?

Read your own highlighted text, It is the last pin grid array socket, meaning it still has the pin grid array socket. All processors after it use bga. FS1 is not exclusively bga -

it actually seems like op has a up gradable cpu socket in this laptop http://buysnip.com/product/hp-probook-455-445-g1-laptop-motherboard-722818-501/ -
Do you want to replace the entire top of your desk? Or just a section of it? Because large touchscreen monitors can be quite pricey especially if you want a multi touch one.

ran the numbers and your right, i would recommend op to look into lower wattage psu's https://outervision.com/b/LeuGBL

Looking for advice on a build for my cousin
Alexzz_ replied to Alexzz_'s topic in New Builds and Planning
thanks, what is releasing and when ? because i dont think it will be available in my country at launch. -
Budget (including currency): 1500 euro Country: netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly triple A games, some indie/lighter games. My cousin wants help with building a pc, and most of the stuff i can easily help him with, but Im not up to date on the latest benchmarks. so Im mainly here for advice on what cpu and gpu to get, a little help with choosing a mobo would also be appreciated (mainly which series to get, B, Z, X idk anmymore). The budget of 1500 euro is for the entire pc, so keep that in mind when choosing. All accessories (monitors and stuff) are outside of this budget and you guys don't need to worry about that.

Tiworker is related to windows updater, just let it run and wait till its done. Source: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/high-cpu-usage-caused-by-tiworkerexe/ae12110a-15ca-49cb-be24-c6200072b436

Usually how those sites can offer those prices is by buying massive quantities in bulk directly from microsoft. Or they use a scammed credit card

have you tried contacting them in any way?

While technically the i7 9700 beats the ryzen 3700x in gaming, the results are extremeley close in most titles. I would personally go for a 3700x because the motherboards can be a lot cheaper. Also the ryzen beats the i7 in almost everything non gaming because of the extra threads.

Could be that it is scanning your network data for potential virus activities. see if you can turn off a option like "network monitoring"

Is this acer nitro 5 a good choice laptop?
Alexzz_ replied to Alexzz_'s topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
The Netherlands, wheight and batterylife are not main factors since i already carry a large backpack and get to sit near electrical outlets most of the time. Of course there are limits but as long as it can practically be used I'm fine. -
Im currently looking for a laptop to use for my study engineering. The budget is around 900€. The requirements are that i can do 3d modeling, write essays, easily take it from home to school and maybe some light gaming. I currently still have my pc with an gtx 1070 and i5 6600k so the laptop isn't going to be my main rig for heavy workloads. The maximum size is 15,6 inches as thats what fits into my bag. I still have 8Gb sodimm ddr4 lying around to put into a laptop of needed. The laptop that i have found that fits these criteria the best is the acer nitro 5 AN515-54-51M5 With the gtx 1650 it should handle 3d/cad pretty well. There are however other configurations and im here to ask if those might be better or if there are other laptops i should be taking a look at. Thanks for taking the time to read

It seems the Maximus only has support for non adressable RGB, so you will need a different controller for that. There are different ways than the hue 2 but the hue seems to be the best option

My uncle has an ideapad 700-15ISK which currently has 8Gb of 1,6Ghz ddr4. He would like to upgrade this to 16 Gb. However i can't find any 16 Gb sodimm sticks at 1,6Ghz. Will it be a problem if i install something with a higher frequency?

Well its very hard to find security flaws this big because Intel has obviously patched out all the ones they could find. Because of this only the hard to find exploits are actually shipped in products and these exploits can take years to find and become public.

can you see if the fan is spinning while you use the pc? -
I am worried and you should be too!

Seems like your only option is to use linux as os if you dont want to use windows or mac OS.
