Help this audio engineer and gamer get a better rig! I did this hasty edit within an hour of seeing the competition lol
 
My CPU is seriously bottlenecking me (only two cores!!!) and my AppleCare just ran out; on top of all of that I'm about to graduate and I won't have support from my school for this old macbook much longer! I've really been making the most of what I have, the eGPU was partly a birthday present and I even preemptively upgraded the ram to 16gb years ago when I bought this, but apple is notoriously bad at hardware upgradability, and this thing isn't going to last much longer. The bootcamp thing on an already small (512 gb) solo hard drive with a ton of original music content on the mac partition means I have just the one game to run a benchmark with on my "gaming" set up.
