If they went for the 3" hydraulic legs, those alone (according to their website) is almost $30,000 USD I would say that with some rough napkin math, that entire setup was close to $40,000 USD If they went for just the 1" legs, it would be close to around $20,000... but TBH. this is rough estimations.

I believe your post is going to require a little bit more information. You say you added two M.2 SSD onto your Motherboard, but I am not sure what motherboard you have based of your description. Going to Gigabyte's website shows that they have 29 X570 motherboards, so you may need to let us know specifically which motherboard you are using. Some boards have different configurations for their M.2 slots and how many SATA connections you can run with M.2 drives installed. For example, if you add an M.2 drive into some Motherbaords, you lose SATA ports 1 and 2. I am not saying this is happening to you, but I would attempt to troubleshoot with that in mind. The only variable you changed on the system was the M.2 drives, assuming that you ONLY installed them and did nothing with your existing SATA drives. What motherboard do you currently have? the exact model number? I would try the following and see if you see any improvement: Remove both M.2 drives and boot your system with the old SSD. Does Windows Boot? If not.... Unplug everything from your USB ports but your keyboard and mouse. Disconnect all displays but one in the event you have multiple displays. Check the BIOS and take a look at your boot order. Each BIOS is different, so you may have to check your manual for instructions. check to see if your SATA drives show up on the list. if not... Check your SATA connections. It is possible that when inside your computer, you bumped or moved a drive and it has become unplugged. From here, if you have multiple SATA drives, unplug all of them with the exception of your boot drive where Windows is installed. After checking the SATA connections and ensuring that everything is plugged in to both the 2.5" SSD and the motherboard on your WINDOWS BOOT SSD ONLY, boot to the BIOS and check to see if the drive is detected. If it is, then attempt to boot to Windows. If Windows boots with the old 2.5" SSD installed, then we can work the problem back from there to see what happened. In my experience, one of two things might be happening. Your Boot order was changed when you installed the new M.2 drives, or your Motherboard does not support two M.2 drives and the number of SATA drives that you also have in your system. Always remember to work the problem backwards and check the variables that you changed first. You got this!

I've been daily driving an UW for about 6 years now and have had a mix bag of experiences. 85% Great! 10% Terrible! and 5% confusing.... let me explain. Gaming on an UW comes with its own set of challenges, like if the game you are playing even supports UW resolutions. I tend to check https://www.wsgf.org/mgl to see if a game supports UW natively, with the modification of a config file, or mods. I'm going to be honest, if you want to tinker, you can get just able any game to play without issues on UW monitors. part of that 10% mentioned above for me has been a few of my favorite games just breaking or not working correctly in UW. For example, Fallout 4 is a hot mess of an example. The game does not support UW out of the box, and the mods that I have tried seem to work in some area, but fall short in others. Stepping into Power Armor brakes the UI and many conversations don't direct the camera correctly. The 5% confusion that I have had was dealing with modifying .ini or config files for some older games. Many of the settings tend to just fail to save or require a little bit more knowledge to get working. Your milage may very, depending on the titles you want to play in UW resolution. Many eSports titles support UW, so you should be covered there.

If memory serves me correct, He started selling computers in College to folks but I believe he was selling other companies computers out of his dorm room. I am sure you could build computers for people no problem, however you need to invest the time in keeping them running and support them. This is the exact reason why I stopped building computers for friends and family. I would always get calls for help asking the dumbest questions and to make things worse, they would not even try and solve their problems. Their first instinct would be to contact me 3 seconds after the problem occurred. If you build PC for people then be prepared to support them when things go wrong. =)

Some manufactures send customers USB keys that have ID codes, serial codes, or other identification on them in order to function. I have mostly seen this in AUTO CAD software field with a piece of software called Lightwave 3D. The company sent us 30 USB Key that needed to be plugged into the system at all times or the software could quite unexpectedly. In these cases, the company does not even provide you with a CD Key and you (the user) has no knowledge of what it is because it is stored on the USB drive. This can also be a common item in the Food Service industry with PoS (Point of Sale) systems. I believe this is what you have... a USB drive with software licensing on it.

I would check inside your BIOS (hit F2 a bunch of times on boot) and find a section for "Power Management" or for your USB settings. I understand and validate your passion for LMG. But no matter how many subscribers you have, no matter how famous you are, it does not make you different from any of the other folks that paid good money for Apple products and followed the "rules" or "terms of service". Apple is not in the business of selling parts out of a catalog and they never will be. I honestly feel bad for Linus, but being famous does not make you special in the eyes of any company. If Apple were to provide Linus with a replacement screen then this would open up all sorts of PR problems for Apple. Lets say i'm average Joe and my iPhone screen just randomly breaks or malfunctions as a result of a manufacturing defect. I promptly go to an Apple store, have the defect verified, and my Phone is replaced under warranty... The process worked! Like it should. Rewind, I drop my iPhone and the screen shatters... Oops, my bad! I take it to the Apple store and receive a work order for replacement parts, labor, and shipping. A week later, I receive my iPhone and pay for the damages. The system worked, Again! Now lets look at situation #3. I take apart my iMac pro on a widely watched YouTube channel for all the world to see. I just so happen to break the system while reassembling all the components. Oops... Welp, Apple is clear on things like this and for a good reason. If you take apart the system, Apple has no way of verifying if something additional could have been damaged or been adjusted beyond factory specification. As a company, this is always tough and has to be treated equally and fair to ALL customers. Again, I truly feel bad for Linus, I really do... But, We can't let YouTube fame or subscriber count change the fact that Apple is a Global Company who simply can't take the risks in assuming nothing else is damaged or the fact that they clearly say "please don't open our stuff... No seriously... our stuff is really high tech and we build it right the first time because we want that to be the ONLY time it's built, ya know?" So to be completely on the level... We all know that LTT sometimes goes over-the-top with their thumbnails, video ideas, and humor. A few examples of this are his thumbnails which he addressed in an "Honest Answers" video almost a year ago. The TL;DR from that video was Linus admitting that they did in fact exaggerate video titles and thumbnails to draw in viewers, to which he did not feel was wrong in his opinion. Overall, Linus himself also said that his company is only doing what everyone else is doing which is "clickbait" titles and "cancerous thumbnails" to draw in viewers... why? Because it works. The video from Tailosive Tech is only pointing out the fact that though I agree Linus's frustration is valid, the LTT video does go to some... "INSERT BAD INFOMERCIAL GIF HERE" levels to get it's point across when the screen broke. I saw the little explosion the first time I was watching and kinda laughed, but I also find it hard to believe they were filming when they were putting the screen back on. RED Footage takes up quite a bit of space and though I have no doubts that LMG has a crap load of it, I just feel like the whole staging of the "breaking" was a little unbelievable at best. I think a lot of the satire Tailoslve Tech was getting at was that the video (to him, NOT me) felt like a bit of a tantrum thrown by a child who has been denied candy by his mother at the checkout. AGAIN... this is that THEY were saying... NOT me. What I took away from the response was that Linus was frustrated at Apple for not wanting to flat out sell him the part he needed which, as a company Apple reserves the right to do 100%. Another point to make here is that I am sure iFixIt does not contact the manufactures when they take things apart and break them for repairs and I am not sure why Linus thinks his company is any different. When iFixIt took apart the Surface laptop they completely destroyed the top layer of the system, almost beyond recognition. I am confident is saying that they would not have contacted Microsoft and asked for a new Surface Laptop because they clearly broke the terms of service when they decided to open the damn thing. The tech industry does not work like Automotive industry where you can just open up a catalog and select a part to be mailed to you for you to install in your car. There are MANY good reasons why Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Samsung don't have easy avenues for the consumers to purchase individual parts for their products. So many in fact that I can't type them all in this reply. My point here is that I believe Linus's frustration is valid... buuuuuuuuut... LMG is no different from any other company, consumer, or regular Joe without apple backing and Apple is technically in the right for not sending them a display or the parts they need to repair the product. I believe Apple is in the right here because they don't sell individual parts PERIOD! Microsoft does not do this, Google does not do this, and neither does Apple. This would actually be a fantastic follow-up video for LTT to post: "Acquiring Replacement Parts In The Tech Industry". The video could outline the fact that Linus recently has had some issues with getting replacement parts from Apple and he could explore different companies and their practices on providing consumers with replacement parts for their products. I would LOVE to see if you could get Google to send you a screen for their Pixel phone or maybe see if Microsoft would be willing to send you a new Surface Studio screen... the main question would be, Who is willing to send consumers DIRECT replacement parts? how much do they cost? and What options do consumers have when they want to replace things on their broken tech. All in all, I don't believe we should be getting out our pitchforks and torches, marching down to our local Apple store, and DEMANDING that they send LMG a replacement screen. I think this needs to be looked at much more closely in terms of, what the consumer is allowed to do with a purchased product... was LMG technically voiding their warranty? And by voiding that warranty does this give Apple the right to not sell individual components to the consumer? I'm not entirely sure... but what I am sure about is the incredible value that Mack Weldon's products provide for me on a daily basis! I understand where you are coming from... though, I also feel like the word "ultimate" is what bugs me in the whole description. Maybe my inner 12 year old self is showing, but I imagine when I hear the phrase "ultimate" to be the pinnacle of its class when you put that next to it. I was expecting a self leveling desk, with multiple monitors for MAXIMUM gaming input, a fridge to house all your gaming food and drinks, and even a toilet in the seat for the TRUE hardcore gamer! My silly nature aside, I just felt that the system was anything but Ultimate... and more.... sensible in the end, which begs the question, "Can sensible be ultimate?".

I have a few honest problems with this video and I would like to give constructive feedback. I want to say though... that this is only an opinion and I recognize that not everyone will agree with me. The opening statement claims that the challenge was to build "a new DIY desk project, even better then before". I am not sure if you are referring to the old DIY desk that Linus made that was in the shape of a "U", but if that is the case, then I was greatly disappointed. Given that the title of the video uses the word "Ultimate", I felt that this desk fell a bit short of a wow factor given that it was just a slightly modified IKEA desk. The old DIY desk was a showstopper with it's hand built construction, always visible water cooling, and full glass top. This desk, though modern, felt lacking in the "WOW" factor upon first glance to me. Building off my previous statement... Where is the "WOW" factor here? Yes, I know this is a sponsored video and I am assuming that Intel had a say in how the information was presented, but that does not dodge that fact that the setup was not very "LTT over the top". Yes, Linus did say that when they were building the desk on IKEA's website they wanted to go for a clean modern look with the white but the sliding sections had exposed wood and felt unfinished to me. The Arduino thing was awesome and very LTT... It felt like they bumped things up to 11 with that thing and holy crap was it awesome to see all the hard work went into making it and programming it.... AND THEN THEY SHOWED NONE OF ITS FUNCTIONALITY! Sorry for caps lock. I would have LOVED to see them show off some glam footage of this thing in action. Please Linus! It looks like a lot of work went into making this thing and I would love to know more. The Ultrawide monitor felt VERY misplaced in this video considering that were were attempting to marry Console and PC gaming into one single desk. I don't know of a single console game that runs at Ultrawide resolution and you will have black bars every time you want to play a console game... very weird choice imo. I don't know if Intel forced that choice, but for something that I would call the "Ultimate PC AND Console Gaming Battlestation" I would have gone with a no compromises setup that included a way to have both PC and Console running at the same time... this IS the ultimate setup after all, right? My final problem is a bit nit-picky, but why was the build set to highlight the 8700K and then no benchmarks provided or system specs included? This might have been a limitation of the Intel sponsorship, but I feel like this was a missed opportunity because I am not sure if Intel was trying to sell me an IKEA desk, their processor, or an Origin PC... Honestly, i'm just confused at WHAT Intel was trying to say here. Again, These are all opinions and I know LTT folks put a LOT of time and effort into these projects. I don't want to take away from the hard work that folks put in to create things like this. I just wanted to share some opinionated feedback... I get that it is entirely possible that Linus had z-e-r-o input as far that how the information was presented given that this is a sponsored video... But I would love to see a follow up video where you dive into the functionality of this desk and show off some sweet sweet 4K glam footage with music in the background. I am going to assume that if your parents are dictating what you are playing in terms of games then you must be quite young. Honestly, I would consider yourself lucky to have parents who care enough to be involved in the content you are viewing. Many parents take a backseat to this and I have seen adults purchase Grand Theft Auto for a child under the age of ten. I'm sorry to say this, but you clearly have parents who care and want to make sure you are not over exposed to inappropriate content. The ESRB created the rating system for a reason and If you are under the age of the recommended rating, then it's hard for me to side against your parents trying to be parents. Having said that, If you are determined to convince your father that you should be able to play a certain game then be diplomatic and logical about things and ask him to please find time to sit with you and play the game with you. This way a few things can happen. 1) your father can see the content first hand and decide if it is ok for you to view it. 2) your father can explain things to you in context as they come up in the game so that YOU understand what you are seeing and experiencing. 3) you are spending quality time with your father, which helps build a healthy relationship. After all that, if your Father still says no then you need to respect your parents decisions until you are old enough to purchase games and make your own decisions. I know it may suck, but be thankful that you have caring parents... I have seen some who are not so lucky.

Honestly, if this "instructor" is shouting at anyone then you should find a new instructor. Factually speaking, yelling at ANYONE while driving is a huge hazard to you and the folks around you. You will never learn if the person teaching you is unwilling to understand your wants/needs. It sounds to me like your instructor is teaching from a script and lacks any sort of ability to be flexible and mentor you. Don't be discouraged, driving is scary at first and everyone makes mistakes. I would assume you have a temporary permit to drive, if so, find an abandoned mall or parking lot and drive around for a little bit with no traffic or things to hit so that you can become comfortable with the car itself and your surroundings. Don't give up! You can do it!

If you are REALLY itching for a new system, try the Dell Outlet or Woot if you are short on cash. IMO, I would say that this is one of the worst times to be building a system, especially if you are on a budget. GPU and RAM princes are still high for my taste and it's honestly hard for me to give a recommendation off a $500 build. "Fun Budget" builds should honestly be put on hold until GPU/RAM prices go down. Not to long ago I could go to MicroCenter and purchase a complete system with a copy of Windows 10 for under ~$320 for any folks I knew who wanted a decent home PC for the Office. I had a build that I would use over and over that had a 64GB Boot SSD and a 1TB drive for their files. Yes, the system used Integrated graphics, but the $40 discount on CPU+MOBO combos was just to strong at MicroCenter. Honestly, My recommendation at this time, given that you will get a new laptop soon, would be to invest some of that $500 on a REALLY awesome SSD for the laptop or save your money for a future desktop when the prices settle down. It's all about wants vs. needs my friend. For example, right now I WANT a new laptop even though I know my Surface Pro 4 is perfectly fine and needs no upgrade.

Lets see unRAID go to work on this system. How about 4-8 Rendering stations all at once? Similar to 7 Gamers, 1 CPU... But this time "7 Workstations, 1 CPU" What do you think? If you find yourself moving around a lot, then the V2 might be the right choice due to it's removable USB cord to keep things nice and tidy during transport. You can't go wrong with either keyboard... imo, they are both very good. I use a regular BW and I have found cleaning the caps to be quite the pain. I am considering the BW-X due to it's metal back plate for easy cleaning.

For a job that requires folks to be on the move around constantly, I would also recommend the Surface TBH. We have tested the Surface at my work with quite a few Teachers and they work exceptionally well in the classroom and office meetings for administration. The flexibility in OneNote is far better then anything on the iPad Pro we tested. I know it might sound weird... but give OneNote a spin for a week or so, it's hard to go back to anything else... at lest... in our application that is. The Surface is a great device for the workplace. Being able to switch to a tablet with pen input is amazing once you use it a few times. I just had a meeting this morning where I was writing, drawing, and doodling all while switching to the keyboard when needed. The only downside to the Surface is that if you don't have a table to set it on... don't even bother... haha... it's far more trouble then its worth on your lap. I have always loved the "idea" of the Surface Book more then I have the price of the Surface Book. The weird form factor aside, The device is really in a class of its own when it comes to performance and flexibility in my opinion. As a content consumption device, The beautiful screen with its high resolution and great PPI make movie watching one of the greatest experiences i'v ever seen next to my iPad Pro. As a productivity device, the flexibility of the keyboard and detachable screen make it great for the workplace. Finally, as an Artistic device with being able to flip the screen around and draw make the device functional for the average art college student. however... The price is a REAL killer! I simply could not recommend the device based off it's price point to any friends, family, or artists. At $2500 for the quad core i7 with 6GB GPU, it's a real punch in the gut when it comes to value for performance. I know i'm going to get a little flack for this, but this Lenovo System is what I will use as an example... https://www3.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/ideapad-700-series/Ideapad-720S-15/p/81CR0005US This system (in my opinion) is an example for far better value for the money in terms of screen, CPU, and GPU... I mean... It has a 1TB SSD for craps sake. What I have never felt comfortable with as a consumer is to pay a premium for features that I don't feel warrant the price. For example, I feel that one of the selling points of the Surface Book have always been premium build quality, flexibility, and a VERY high quality screen. This is a struggle for me as a consumer because I feel like there is never a prefect balance device. Linus did a video not to long ago that showed how you have to sacrifice in some area to boost others. A budget "Gaming" device seems to sacrifice on build quality and the screen to provide great hardware to drive games. A thin and lite laptop seems to sacrifice on power for portability and functionality. The Surface Book seems to have two problems with the philosophy. #1. The device fits under the category of "fantastic build quality, great hardware, and and amazing screen at an extremely high price point". For those who want an (objectively) beautiful device at a high price point, then I can see myself instead taking a Macbook Pro over this device, for one simple reason... Software... which brings be to my second point. #2. For college students, aspiring artists, and average Joe... the Macbook Pro offers WAY to many free pieces of software that allow you to get off the ground faster. Things like iMovie and Preview are great beginner tools that work far better and faster then anything that the Windows Eco System can offer which is important if you are a student or professional. The core of my struggle lies not within the hardware, but what the hardware can do for me out of the box. I own a Surface Pro 4 for example, and the device is a treat to use everyday at work within OneNote using the surface pen. No joke, Microsoft hit it out of the park with the Surface Pen and OneNote for the professional sector. Everything else feels half baked with my experience on my Surface Pro 4 because the software just is not there at all. There is nothing that Microsoft offers to the consumer that allows you to get off the ground FAST. iMovie, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are all free and (in my opinion) work better then ANY included Microsoft product. Keep in mind, I am excluding 3rd party Windows based apps... I am only illustrating the point that Microsoft fails to include free 1st party options for folks that work well with their hardware. TL;DR: The Surface Book is a fantastic device that I feel is letdown in the end by it's high price point and lack of 1st party support. I love the Surface Book, But I wish Microsoft would create free office solutions as well as resurrect Windows Movie Maker for more flexible 1st party options out of the box. Consumers need more reason to USE the device, then to just look at it.

I was just as mad as Linus was watching those prices... This is truly a dark era for PC builders and hardware enthusiasts imo... Unless you want to pay up to 3x the MSRP, you can't play. My local Microcenter is a playground for me on the weekends, providing me with my usual technology fix. 90% of the time the GPU and RAM shelves are empty now a days and the prices are insane. I was actually considering purchasing a PowerSpec tower the other day for $1100 because it had a GTX 1070Ti inside of it. The system has good specs for the price, and I knew I could sell the GPU for $900 and the rest of the system for ~$500 based off the i7-7700K on the inside. I DID NOT do it just to be clear, I want to be part of the solution to Hardware prices, not contribute to the problem... A Dark era this is my friends =(

Honestly, based off the guy's reaction, body language, and gesture to let him buy it all point to him having 100% no clue who Linus was. If you look at his face after Linus said "Do you know who I am?", he was clearly confused and did not want to insult him with his response of "I probably watched your videos". Dude bro had no clue who Linus was or what NCIX was. I would bet that he was only there to get the play button for himself, seeing as many YouTubers have a hard time communicating with YouTube I think its safe to bet that this guy never received his Play Button and only wanted it for the re-branding of the glass. Having said all that, I think it was a VERY kind gesture of Linus to give it to him. It angered me just as much as it did most folks to see Linus give it up. I (no joke) had a tear in my eye seeing him give it up, because NCIX was HIS channel, he built it and he deserved that Play Button. I do not approve of all the hate comments on that one guys channel because I believe he does not know who Linus is/was to NCIX. All in all, Props to you Linus... Once again you prove that you are a true gentleman and a genuine kind heart.

I played, got to max level, lost all desire to play, went back to World of Warcraft. One of the problems I always find with this FPS/MMO hybrid thing... is that the content to keep me coming back just isn't there. I am sure there is some fun to be had with friends, but I never found a dedicated group to play with and most of my (WoW) Guild was interested in pushing mains and alts. This is opinionated, But I'v always enjoyed MMO games more for the massive worlds, large communities, and many reasons to come back and play. For example, I am only going to use World of Warcraft because it is what I play a lot of. I understand that there are many other MMO out there, I just don't have anything to compare it too. In WoW, When you reach late game there are many things a player can choose to do within the game. Want to push PvE content? Do some raids. Want to fight other players? PvP until your heart stops. Aside from the two main things, there is professions, pet battles, world exploration, and yes... RP still exists. With the release of Vanilla Servers coming soon (ish) It is very exciting to be a WoW player right now. On the flip side, Destiny 2 (for me) seemed to lack much direction in its late game. I was often (and I say again, this is opinionated) confused at the lack of "things" to do after my main stuff for the week was complete. Also, I wish the game would have played out more like Borderlands 2 where the loot was (more) frequent and the game was more entertaining. Destiny 2 felt a bit... serious to me. Anyways: OPINIONATED TL;DR The game lacked good end game content (when I played) Levels felt liner with little in the ways of exploration Story was bad Ultimate Abilities were generic and forgettable Not enough to keep players interested At it's core, the game was a Hybrid MMO/FPS that was bad at both
